I´m really surprised how well GT5 is supported. Just a month before its servers will be shut down. Maybe afterwards GT6 gets PD`s full intention.

  2. Izzyracer97

wow PD you guys are a bunch of :censored:holes your better either put these cars back in the game or give us something similar.

    1. MeanElf

So, tell me Izzy – would you make any effort for people who swore at you?

Also, with the Senna content coming, don’t you think F1 cars will also be included for us to drive in GT6?

  3. FranciRus

I would like to have a race seasonal in GT6 even with “low” payout. By low i mean comparable to the career mode.

    1. SnakeOfBacon

Nascar at Motegi pays decently I guess (and is incredibly easy), but the Red Bull Standard championship is the highest paying event by a fairly wide margin, on 200% bonus you can earn 2.2M+ credits every ~25mins. Apricot Hill demands focus though, and the car is a really twitchy bugger with its stupendous amount of downforce only usable in high speed bends, SRF and free RS tyres will be your friends for grinding.

  4. PhilipR

wow… they still give MORE and BETTER things to GT5, but in GT6, they ONLY give time trials… W-T-F

    1. TheProRacer

Polyphony said that GT5 will have continuing support until it’s servers are cut off… Which is right around the corner! Let’s see what GT6 has to offer afterwards.

    2. Mozartist

Of course they give more and better things to GT5. They’re fattening the cattle before they take it to the slaughter house (shutting down the servers) in order to force the money cows that they take us for to move to that pityful GT6. At least THIS cow opted to jump the fence instead, and move to other pastures. I will never pay for a PS4 and a finished version of GT only available for that console, nor will I pay to play online.

Thanks to SONY and PD, the GT franchise is in agony due to their contemptuous disregard and indifference for the people that made them millions over the year. Obviously, in Japan they never heard the old saying: “The customer is always right”. Clearly, that means absolutely nothing to SONY and PD.

      Mo

    3. MeanElf

Except, it’s widely accepted now that the customer is rarely right. They’re usually some sort of ignorant idiot with issues – this is also something that companies are coming to realise in the west too.

So, you’ve moved on, well good for you. A question for you though, why are you still hanging around to complain? I’d say those other games can’t be commanding your full attention, not really if you feel compelled to jump in here every so often and rant about something you don’t play anymore. It’s that or maybe you are taking money to bad-mouth PD and Sony…

    4. Mozartist

      @MeanElf

The reason I come back here is to check if in any way I can salvage my hard earned money blown on a broken and unfinished game that was put out on false pretences. What SONY and PD did is borderline fraud. I’ve been playing GT from day one and blindly trusted that GT6 would be awesome like all the others before. That went to hell.

I still play GT5 several hours every day because I love driving, and after more than three years, I’m still at 92% completed. One week on GT6 and it’s 70% finished. From the looks of things, and hearing stuff about a GT7 Prologue in the works already, GT6 is as good as dead, but I can hope, can’t I? Because I’ll be damned if I spend another penny on a PD game, or a PS4 to play a PD game. Never mind about a monthly or yearly fee to play online. I trust you have been answered properly.

      Mo

    5. MeanElf

      Thank you for the reply.

I agree, GT6 was a lot quicker to complete but here lies my confusion, you say you play GT5 because you enjoy driving. I find the driving in GT6 to be far superior, more enjoyable too, as I can distinctly tell the difference between pretty much all cars. For example, the recent Subaru TTs I tried various of the WRXs and they all handle individually from the others.

You say GT6 is broken and unfinished – well, the content is still coming as far as I’m aware, but it couldn’t be broken if you have almost completed it. I still find plenty to do to interest me, as I too like just driving and taking screen-shots of the races or TTs. I trust that the course creator will turn up as will new tracks to explore.

All that guff about GT7:P taking over from GT6 is just that – guff and supposition – no one has confirmed that. But it’s up to you if you don’t want to play the game any more – I just don’t understand why you’d post about it on a GT5 news item…

    6. Mozartist

      @MeanElf

      “I just don’t understand why you’d post about it on a GT5 news item…”

Hint #1: Please read carefully the first phrase in my first reply. Then pay close attention to the rest of my post and you will notice that all of it is related to that first phrase and an (poor?) attempt to explain the concerns that most have expressed about why GT5 gets more and better attention than GT6.

Hint #2: The majority of posts on this particular topic mention GT6, so you are welcome to ask them why they post GT6 matters on a GT5 topic.

Hint #3: The little highlighted blue “Reply” button that appears next to every new posts in regards to the present article, and the possibility permitted by this website to register or login in order to comment. Bear in mind also that we can assume that if a post shows up on this site, it is because it has been authorized by people who own and manage it. And I am quite confident that any and all inappropriate will not be published.

Final words… As far as I can tell, about 90% of people on this website are pretty much disgusted and angry at SONY & PD for what they’ve done with GT6, or do you only read the lickers posts. I admire your optimism and wishful thinking in regards to GT6 becoming a great game, but everything (nothing?) SONY & PD did since they released it remotely suggests that. Guff and supposition indeed! And to be quite honest, wouldn’t it be the other way around? Like the few on this site who say GT6 is so awesome and PD are so good to us by promising so many great things in an unforeseeable and most uncertain future, almost all of it not delivered yet. Aren’t those the ones getting paid by Polyphonies Dupers to lick kazoo’s butt? You tell me.

      Regards,

      Mo

    7. MeanElf

Ha, I like it! No, unfortunately, most defenders of the game are too moderate to be paid lackeys – it doesn’t really work that way.

Hint #1: reply – still makes no sense. GT5 has been getting just the same amount of attention from PD as before GT6.

Hint #2: reply – most don’t bother coming back to defend a point on the new threads, it’s more of a dis and run thing. So saying it once is usually enough.

Hint #3: reply – True, you would expect that and to be fair, mods do patrol the news items now. This wasn’t always the case and the news threads were a mess with all kinds of hateful and unsubstantiated stuff filling them up – honestly, it was like reading posts on a YouTube vid.

As for the 90% observation, there is a lot of vocal commentary here, but those are pretty much the same people every time, and a fraction of the site’s full membership list. So, true – it would seem on the surface that the trend here is dissapointment. Bear in mind though before making sweeping statements, that most members do not post, so the true feelings as a gestalt are hard to judge at the end of the day.

    8. MeanElf

“…to defend a point on the new threads…” should have been NEWS.

I also meant to say that the mods only seem to partol news threads that are likely to cause controversy.

  5. Swagger897

..|., you PD… GT5 still gets higher payouts while we are still scrounging… I’d ask Kaz if he ever does the grind or uses the co’s card.

    1. MeanElf

You are talking about someone who has driven the Green Hell several hundred times in GT – I think he’s happy with the grind. That has always seemed to be a trend in games coming out of Japan.
