Good time tonight. The NSX RM is by far my favorite car we've driven lately. It's like the MR version of the Alfa.

SagarisGTB Feb 29 2012 12:35 AM

The NSX RM is one of my favourite cars to drive in the entire game. I had a spec race series write up for the car all written up back in December, but decided against posting it for various reasons; however, I would love to race the car with the ORCA crowd. The car has so much character but isn't difficult to drive and is predictable, sort of like the Alfa TZ2.

About tonight, enjoyed the racing. The 350Z at GVEII was especially fun taking on Carracer. The simplicity of that track seems to promote good racing every single time.

What parts are you guys running on the NSX RM? I have one but I just performed the RM and left it.

Just the parts that come with the RM, we were running under the "tuning prohibited" option as normal and putting it on SS tires.

At the stock HP level on Sport Soft tires it is a brilliant car.
The braking power is extremely good compared to other cars.

Is the the NSX LM in the UCD or a NSX from the premium dealership that's been RM'd?

It's the NSX RM, not LM. Purchase the Acura NSX from the new car dealership, take it to GT Auto and do the Race Modification. Leave all the settings at default for "tuning prohibited" racing.

I should be on tonight around 8pm GMT for some raking about Suzuka in the NSX or 350z.
When I'm on I'll post here: I'll be in the ORCA_Champ lounge unless anyone has other plans for it this evening.

I'll surely be around tonight. Will pop in and run some.

Pick the NSX, 350z feels a little underpowered and over grippy on SM tires at this track. I should be around.

Orca_champ lounge is now open.
Come on down!

I'm just online early. On a race night, I'd normally open the lounge at this time for practice.

We're going to try moving the Tuesday GMT slot to Wednesday so it doesn't interfere with the Tuesday night race. We think having 2 races on the same day ended up having a negative effect on both races so we're just going to move the one a day later.

I'll be home from work in about an hour, I'll try to hop in for a little bit if you guys are still in the lounge. Won't be able to stay more than about an hour though.

bdubclub Feb 29 2012 2:40 PM

Hey guys, been a bit busy with work lately, so I havent been around much. Looks like we are running the NSX RM (love that car) and the Gran Turismo 350z. Still the same times Friday and Saturday?

TrackBound7 Feb 29 2012 2:57 PM

To be clear, the Z and NSX are just test mules this week. Not a formal series. Although either car could end up as a selected car for a weekly series at some point down the road. A handful of us had been playing around with some ideas and those 2 cars came up and have been popular. Not to speak for Brandon, but I am pretty sure they will both find their way into the weekly club theme Brandon has mentioned.

BrandonW77 Feb 29 2012 5:47 PM

You are correct TB7, just experimenting now but the NSX RM will likely be in the first month's line up.

TrackBound7 Feb 29 2012 6:12 PM

I should be on around 8est if anyone wants to race something and fool around like immature grown adults ;)

CC570 Feb 29 2012 6:28 PM

Sounds like fun. Wish I could get on :grumpy:

Well, I tried this, and thanks for the recommendation. :D
I bought a samba bus (hadn't had one before imagine that!)... maxed it out with every conceivable hp/weight upgrade (over 200hp I think??), & the drivetrain flywheels & such.
I stuck a height adjustable sports kit on it, and tinkered a bit. Messed with the transmission a tad.
Put it on comfort soft (just in case).

Then I took it on:

"single race" mode (choice when you bring up courses in the creator course list)...
I did as well as 3rd place, after about 3 tries.
I think I could have gotten 1st place eventually, but I was caught in the act, and given the seriously hairy eyeball. :guilty:
