The 911 RSR is GREAT! Thanks again so much for doing that tune (and all of tunes to be honest). The car handles alot better now, as i have said before i have no real idea when it comes to dampers and springs?:indiff: I am still unsure why some of these cars need to have such high tire pressures though? I tried the RSR with lower pressures and it was all over the place. Where as some of the other tunes are fine with lower pressures! I was under the assumption that racing pressures were nearly always lower?

I remember the first T-12's tune i tested. It was a 14 rated Gallardo's tune on Shift 1. Remember how great the car was handling compared to the stock setup.
I made a break on shift 1 since the release of GT5. But tuning in GT5 feel superficial, where in Shift 2 it feels so rewarding, because you really make the car fit your driving style. I have completly let down GT5 and now i'm back to Shift. Getting so much fun in setuping car.

Well i don't know if i'm autorized to share some setups in this thread but i just want some feedback on this one (If you like it, and if T-12 let me publish other setup, it would be a pleasure for me to share you my others favourite tunes. Mainly B-tunes at the moment, as they remember me my favourite bracket in Shift 1, the 14.00 one)

I'm playing on PS3 with a G27, elite mode, cockpit cam (don't like the pilot's one), all assists off (Abs sometimes when stock setup doesn't allow me to be accurate on my left foot's pressure).

I noticed the very low brake pressure. I like that because I don't use ABS. Is that why you set it so low?

Can't comment on tune though (I don't have that car)

Yes i'm setuping the brake pressure with ABS off. That's why i'm always lowering it when i get a car with comfort/sport tires and with the "Double master cylinder upgrade". Because a lower brake pressure allows me to do clean degressive braking (in most case).

But remember:

- if your brake pressure is too low, brakes will not work at 100% at high speed (even if you smash your brakes pedal), and you will increase a lot your braking distance after a long straight (they get cold if they are not used)
- if your brake pressure is too high, it will be hard with the ABS turned off to do clean braking at lower speed on a track where brakes still hot (and efficient) most of the times.

Low downforce / Low grip form your tires / Light weight car / Powerfull brakes = Down the brake pressure
High downforce / Slick tires / Heavy weight car / Weak brakes = Up the brake pressure


The brake pressure setting has to be the better compromise between the braking distance allowed by your brakes (and car) and between your own control of the braking distance through the brake pedal.

👍 Exactly why I tune the brakes.

You forgot to mention this also depends on how we setup the brake sensitivity in the options menu. I like to use all the travel allowed by the pedal to make braking as progressive as possible. This allows from gentle touches to full lock. Long live Logitech G27 :D

Well i don't mention the brake sensitivity in the options menu of your steering wheel mainly because it's a very personnal setting which is depending of your own perception of how hard your are braking through your leg's muscles.

The brake pressure depends much more from your car than yourself. The brake sensitivity is up to your driving comfort, but will not affect the optimal braking distance of your car. It will just change the way you will have to use your foot to brake.

But you are right, this is a really important thing to keep in mind if you play without ABS ;). There was a full tutorial on this forum concerning the curves of how is working the sensitivity in Shift. Shame i can't find it.

Exige and S2000, where is theys?
I just started playing and started with the s2000 and just won the exige. Exige is a handful but the s2000 at d499 is lovely. Would like a nice C setup for the s2000 if any of you have time. Pweeeze?
