Well, the title says it all, something like the 'rewind' feature thread. Well, what are you says?

I say no, not now, and not until PD get other priorities done. We still have alot to improve in the fields of sound, damage, overall physics, and online. This thing should be included only when the other stuff is done, which I doubt they could be in this iteration. I'd say maybe in a GT6 or something when PD have at least made decent work of the other aspects.

EDIT: Thanks for putting up the poll

Yeah I'd rather have dynamic weather and time. But track editor would certainly be cool.

No, we don't need one at all.

I would rather have day/night cycles before dynamic weather, though, yaywalter.

Dynamic weather and time would be better. Plus, they could always make new tracks and release them as downloadable content.

Yes, we need.
Now we know the number of tracks and variations.
20 locations, 70 tracks and a Chuck Norris number of variations.

It doesn't matter to me either way.

But do we REALLY need another thread on this?

I meant to make this one a poll, but ultimately I forgot to once I posted the thread.

As I said in another thread, if it's true then in my opinion it could possibly be some sort of rally stage generator as opposed to an actual track editor. If that was the case then it may be saving the time they'd take to model the rally stages from around the world.

That could be completely wrong and it could be something completely different but with an equally valid point to it. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if it is true and how PD have done it to find out.

If one person can at least create three PD-quality fictional tracks by themselves, then that's the day a track editor will be of use. Otherwise, the tracks will look very, very bad. It's not an essential feature by any means, but it would be fun to play with it.

I gave my opinion. It's highly unlike PD will implement a track editor before day/night cycles.

There are a lot of things in life we dont really need (Do we need two kidneys?), but why not having them? The more, the merrier.

I vote for:

I've added a poll, I can change the text if you like... I also made it a public vote, but I can change that if you want...

Maybe we should have a poll to find out?... It might be interesting, and it probably won't do much harm, especially since we already have other threads to discuss the issues.

These polls are so pointless. We all know the answer already.

Yes it would be a nice addition but of course it's not essential.

Yeah. I think that no matter how sophisticated the track editor is, nobody's going to be creating tracks on par with Polyphony's.

If there's a track editor, we're going to be seeing a lot of highly inaccurate recreations of real tracks, as well as several penis-shaped fantasy tracks.

I'd rather have a lot of DLC from Polyphony than a track editor.

i don't think GT needs a track editor, it would be a nice addition but almost everything would be a nice addition, wouldn't it?

and i'm sooooooooo tired of these "I'd rather have this than that" posts, give it a rest will you?

Yep. I should've said "content" instead of "tracks." Downloadable cars, tracks, liveries, wheels, parts, etc. This could also be extended to the addition of bike. i.e. Tourist Trophy. Polyphony could later release motorcycles or even ATV's for the rally tracks.

+1 I would rather have 10 more well made tracks. But I doubt it will be implemented, it doesn't add up to the goal of perfect simulation

If by that you mean "all the time we have waited", then with that mentality the game will never be released.

I dont need a track editor, i allways liked the tracks PD made, just like the real ones. I just hope they implement it in a way that it fits to the overall quality of the game and does not feel out of place.

If adding the track editor means they will not add weather....
