R31 Love (56k and even a 128k warning, there's a fair few photos in here!)

I think it's time we showed the 7th Skyline, the R31 some love. It doesn't get anywhere near the credit it deserves.

Locally delivered in Japan, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand (May have been delivered to other countries, if it was, let me know).

The Japanese were the only country to get the R31 in a turbocharged form (with a RB20DET engine)

Australian Models

Early 1986 to mid 1988 were Series 1 and 2

* Pintara - 4-cyl version with a CA20E
* GX - Base model 6 with a RB30E
* GXE
* Silhouette - Sports model, the only Aussie R31 with an LSD
* Ti - Luxury model, fully electric and plush interior, auto only
* GTS1 - The ultimate in early Aus R31s, with only 200 made, LSD, factory warm cam, extractors, 2.25" exhaust, extractors, rear spoiler, sports interior and an oil cooler. They were ALL white

Late 1988 to 1990 were Series 3

* Pintara - Again, the 4-cyl version with a CA20E
* Executive - The new base model, auto only
* GX - Not much better than the Exec, but came in manual as well, and had hub caps (yay!)
* GXE
* Silhouette - Sports Model
* Ti - Luxury Model
* GTS2 - The ultimate in late model Aus R31s, again only 200 made, better cam than the GTS1, piggyback ECU, ported exhaust ports, 2.5" exhaust. The rest is the same as GTS1. They were ALL red.

South African Models

July 1987 to November 1989 were the "New Era"

December 1989 to December 1992 were the "Face-lift"
