http://whatisfaith.com/faith145.html#faith145 We all practice some kind of faith, in fact, you have done it 1000s of times before. We live by faith each day. It keeps us alive, wether your religious or not. And about the whole concept of God. A belief in God doesn't have to be based on any religion, it could just be a belief that there is some kind of order in the universe by an above power. Believing in such thing requires logic to even comprehend and consideration to evaluate the plausibility of such idea. If such idea is an illusion, then perhaps many other things in this world are, too. |

I think it was Morgan Freeman who said something like: "Bitch I aint no man of god, im a man of faith."
Or something like that. |

And to answer the thread question: No. I do not believe in god. And im happy there is no such thing. And one more thing. Evangelical atheists havenīt really understood the concept of the whole idea. Healthy discussion is however welcomed. |

The Sun rise? Evidence that has been gathered suggests it'll be there for a couple more years and that it would take something pretty big to shift the Earth from it's orbit. Could we wake up tomorrow and find the Sun 30484744848384757487483 miles away? Yes. Is anyone going to build an underground shelter in preparation for this? I hope not. That my home won't be invaded by military forces? I'm not aware of any crimes I've committed against any nation, or any strategic resources under my home that might spark a conflict. In the case of a foreign military attacking, evidence suggests that my own country's military would step in before it would become my own personal problem. That my computer works? Most things I buy seem to work. It's worked day after day for a while now. My family has a much older one. It still works. Studies I read when buying my computer suggested that there was a less than 50% chance of it malfunctioning before 2 or 3 years. It's not faith if you're using evidence or reasoning. If you think my examples were unfair in some way, you can provide your own. |

At least the kettle is the cool kid in this, right?
Cause I am the cool kid. Tic Tach, calling it like you see it isn't an excuse for a complete lack of tact and insulting the beliefs of much of the world. Word choice matters, more so when you want to produce a compelling argument that won't just irritate those you are talking with. shmogt, there is no reason to continue talking with you, as you repeatedly fail to perform some introspection. Or much thought behind your posts. |

I'll try to ask you this one more time, ok? What are your thoughts on God if he exist? Why is he not helping those who really need help? Does he have any power to help out at all? Again, your thoughts. Do not provide another useless link, please. |

God is a therefore a trinity that consists of the Father, Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. I believe god is an eternal being who created and preserves the universe. I believe he speaks, sees, hears, acts, and loves. God does give help to those who need help - he offers salvation to those who have sinned. I think I have answered all of your questions. I apologise if I have missed any out, if I have, please highlight them again. Oh, and I was told to send more links. Wether you think they are useless is irrelevant. Many of the questions you have asked were actually in the site. |
