You know you might get a better response if you didn't act as if you were speaking down on people are some how worse off than you.

Just a thought to consider.
Sorry, I fail to see that in my post. Just calling it like I see it.

Many people are waking up from the delusion. The only difference between them and those who are still christians, is courage and intellectual honesty.
First off about that faith thing:
http://whatisfaith.com/faith145.html#faith145
We all practice some kind of faith, in fact, you have done it 1000s of times before. We live by faith each day. It keeps us alive, wether your religious or not.

And about the whole concept of God. A belief in God doesn't have to be based on any religion, it could just be a belief that there is some kind of order in the universe by an above power. Believing in such thing requires logic to even comprehend and consideration to evaluate the plausibility of such idea. If such idea is an illusion, then perhaps many other things in this world are, too.

I think it was Morgan Freeman who said something like: "Bitch I aint no man of god, im a man of faith."

Or something like that.

No. What you are refering to is trust, like I trust that a chair will hold me up. But that is derived from logic, reason, evidence and past experience.

No, we have a sense of humor. Most people who've been around a while know this about me.

I was more pointing out your last bit there, about how "well, my edit was before your post so" because, often times, people can start on a reply, get distracted, finish it up. And then the post time and the time you did your edit aren't so important.

Stop trying to be clever. You aren't doing a great job with it.
Stop talking. If I didn't say about the edit you would of said about how I ended it after the fact. Sorry trying to cover all my ground. Didn't know that is what super immature people do. Also before I posted that someone quoted my first post without the edit, but after I added it when I already explained I knew he was joking.

Hmmm...Trust, faith...We need faith to get up in the morning, early humans needed faith to stay togheter as a group and survive. We needed faith to win wars, survive epedimics.

And to answer the thread question: No. I do not believe in god. And im happy there is no such thing.

And one more thing. Evangelical atheists havenīt really understood the concept of the whole idea. Healthy discussion is however welcomed.

Wha?
He's saying there's a lot of things you don't know the outcome to some more dangerous than other and that we all need faith to believe we can do it.

Again, I feel that trust or hope would be a more apt word than faith.

I don't really recall.

The Sun rise? Evidence that has been gathered suggests it'll be there for a couple more years and that it would take something pretty big to shift the Earth from it's orbit. Could we wake up tomorrow and find the Sun 30484744848384757487483 miles away? Yes. Is anyone going to build an underground shelter in preparation for this? I hope not.

That my home won't be invaded by military forces? I'm not aware of any crimes I've committed against any nation, or any strategic resources under my home that might spark a conflict. In the case of a foreign military attacking, evidence suggests that my own country's military would step in before it would become my own personal problem.

That my computer works? Most things I buy seem to work. It's worked day after day for a while now. My family has a much older one. It still works. Studies I read when buying my computer suggested that there was a less than 50% chance of it malfunctioning before 2 or 3 years.

It's not faith if you're using evidence or reasoning. If you think my examples were unfair in some way, you can provide your own.

At least the kettle is the cool kid in this, right?

Cause I am the cool kid.

Tic Tach, calling it like you see it isn't an excuse for a complete lack of tact and insulting the beliefs of much of the world. Word choice matters, more so when you want to produce a compelling argument that won't just irritate those you are talking with.

shmogt, there is no reason to continue talking with you, as you repeatedly fail to perform some introspection. Or much thought behind your posts.

lol the majority of my post say stop judging others and if you don't agree that is your opinion. Of course the first thing you do is hate on me as a person as how I worded something rather than the actual thought. Now claiming you are the cool kid, the one who's right, there's no way anything you say could be wrong. Get over yourself. I thought about what I said a lot, but was forced to defend all the little things which caused it to become harder to understand. I'm over it, after like 25 pages you will never understand lol.

Tankass wtf is your picture lol?

There fine not caring about all the answers and just living day to day.
No, we're fine caring so much about all the answers that we want to get them right rather than just accepting any old explanation because it's available now.

What are you trying to prove with that link?

I'll try to ask you this one more time, ok? What are your thoughts on God if he exist? Why is he not helping those who really need help? Does he have any power to help out at all? Again, your thoughts. Do not provide another useless link, please.

The Bible says there is only one God: "I am the Lord, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no God," (Isaiah 45:5). Yet, the Bible teaches that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are each called God.

God is a therefore a trinity that consists of the Father, Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit.

I believe god is an eternal being who created and preserves the universe. I believe he speaks, sees, hears, acts, and loves.

God does give help to those who need help - he offers salvation to those who have sinned.

I think I have answered all of your questions. I apologise if I have missed any out, if I have, please highlight them again.

Oh, and I was told to send more links. Wether you think they are useless is irrelevant. Many of the questions you have asked were actually in the site.
