The news just keeps getting better and better. I love how you will have to watch your gas gauge now and fill up at the local gas stations. I wonder if the car washes will actually be functional now too.

We're not sure if he works in the gaming industry, but he seems to be ahead of everyone else when it comes to racing games & some automobiles.

The map might be bigger...that would seriously be something incredible if it is. Even the map in the first game would take you hours to drive across, just imagine it in the second game!

Awesome, Test Drive: Offroad mixed into the 'normal' game? I must admit there was a bit of a craving for that in TDU1, what with the ability to offroad anyway. I can hardly wait.

The artwork looks promising, they've definitely got the right idea about the offroading. Some of the scenes remind me of Pacific Rift!

It will be interresting to see what they do with the offroad. I will assume they will have a separate island where everyone can bring offroad vehicles. And on that island you will only be able to have certain vehicles to pick from. Because lets face it, it doesnt make sense having a Lamborghini offroad in deep mud or water holes.

The island would have to be pretty big too otherwise it would get congetsted and make it very difficult to join friends. Something like the hidden Mana island in TDU but obviously much much bigger.

Could end up being something like Test Drive Off Road Wide Open. That was a great game that I played on the PS2.

Update #2 part 3 from Badned

[UPDATE#2]Part 3
Let's continue with some more exclusive teasing. As always keep in mind, these are early concepts, ideas or stuff in development and might in that form not be featured in the final game.

In case you wondered what happened to all the normal cars and bikes after you heard all that off-road stuff, don't worry, nearly all, if not all your favorite makes from TDU will be back including some new ones. But since this is something where licenses are involved, nothing can be confirmed nor denied at the moment until the deals are fix, and as you may know from the past, licensing issues like to appear at the very last moment.

In case of cars, you will have this time a bit more control, not just the windows or the radio, this time you will be able to turn on, turn off the windshield wipers, thanks to the rain, or in case you are driving an convertibel, open/close the roof, just to name a few.

The world is planned to be more richer in detail, to have more life, thanks to that that the people in the game will actually talk this time around, there will be a story, you will have to fight your way up to the top, not just switching from one task to another like in TDU.

An early ingame look at the expanded world, new ways, new places, new adventures.

Come back tomorrow for the final update.8)

And now the final sneak preview from Badned including functional car wash this time around and racing schools.

[FINAL UPDATE]Part 4
Here we go with the final bit of teasing.

Races and tournaments on actual closed racing circuits are planned to play a bigger role this time. Also a full 24 hour night and day cycle is planned to finally find its way into the game. Will be of importance cause some missions and races will be only accessible at a certain time.

TDU2: An early look at the Main Menu

Following is an early look at the map screen, you may notice the clock at the top in the middle, below it the display for the current weather and below that a graph going from dawn till dusk, all of importance for the player.

Another new thing which you probably noticed in the screen before will be racing schools respectively driving schools. Those will be necessary for the player not only to learn to drive all the vehicle classes in the game but also mastering a license will open up the vehicles from the corresponding vehicle class for the player at the various dealers and also give him access to new missions, races and tournaments which were previously closed.

TDU2: An early look at the Car Dealers

TDU2: An early look at a Checkpoint Race

Ohh and before I forget it the team from Pink Whale's CAR WASH service is more then happy to serve their customers this time around.

That's it. Hope you all enjoyed that little teasing, now it's up to eden to finally finish it. An official unveiling of the game at this years E3 is possible but not fix at the moment so fingers crossed for the best.

Over and out:stealth:

All I said when I saw those screenys was OMFG. I do hope that there will be SUVs for those offroad tracks. I really, really like how they've kept good old Oahu and left the dealers in the exact same places as before too. I'm buying this game ASAP.

I'm a little dissapointed with both the graphics, and the decision to keep oahu.

I am dissapointed with the graphics (how much are you going to get out of the 360?) but I care more about gameplay.

Badned said there is another location besides Oahu, so I wouldn't worry.

These are work in progress images & some are nothing more than TDU1 images used to show the features for reference. This is far from the final product.

That made not just my day but my entire YEAR, damn I have waited sooooo many years for this to come out it is not funny. I will be incredibly P.O if it isnt on PS3 though. I dont see why it wouldnt considering it was on PSP. I love whoever this BADNED is. Bring on TDU2. Also, I found this thread by chance, I never come in the 360 forum.
