As some of you may be aware, Milford Cubicle and I will shortly be travelling to San Francisco to tie the knot (and then Vegas a few days later to tie it again). So, in the spirit of generosity and spreading the fun and happiness, I have one year's worth and one month's worth of Premium memberships to give away.

But there's a catch. Oh yes, there's a catch. You have to work for it. Using your head and everything.

The winner of the year Premium will be the person who comes up with the longest sentence - and it has to make sense and everything - using only the symbols of the chemical elements from the Periodic Table (and appropriate punctuation).

The winner of the month Premium will be the person who, in attempting to do the above, uses the longest single word.

That's it. The rules are:
* Only valid symbols from the Periodic Table may be used.
* There is no limit to the number of times you use any symbol.
* 1x year Premium for the longest English sentence.
* 1x month Premium for the longest word within an English sentence.
* You have until midday GMT on November 1st 2009 to submit your entry.
* ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED BY PRIVATE MESSAGE.
* I will keep a scoreboard in this post, though the scores will not be displayed - only the ranking.

So. Have at it.

Sentence Leaderboard
1. 80Y 2C2*
2. TB*
3. PaMu1337
4. High-Test
5. ImprezaAddict

Single Word Leaderboard
1= High-Test
1= TB*
3. 80Y 2C2*
4. PaMu1337
5. ImprezaAddict

*Already own Premium, so ineligible

It woulda been more fun with symbols only allowed to be used once. I already know the longest word.

Aye, but can you put it into a sentence?

And do you need a month's Premium?

I agree with Omnis on this, much more fun with each only being used once.

I'll put some thought into this just to see what can be done, but the Premium bit isn't really an issue since I have lifetime

Creative though.

Oh, and congrats on getting married and all that. Don't have too much fun in Vegas (though if I recall, weren't you there not too long ago?)

Congrats on the marriage. You are now old. Or, at least you will be once you get done with Vegas.

There's a really cheap way to make a long and coherent sentence that I won't describe, but will almost certainly make up the majority of the winner's words. If I get around to it, I'll come up with something, but I have a feeling that someone who really wants that subscription will spent a fair amount of time to invent a sentence that nobody will come close to matching.

No, you have to post them all.

So, am I understanding this right, the only sequences of letters would be just the symbols? H, He, Li, K, Uuu, etc? I think a lot of drugs are going to be consumed tonight.

Oh, yeah. Congrats! If you win millions, you better remember us.

We celebrate 20 years of marital bliss later this month.

Remember, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Have a good time.
