I think he was admiring how quickly Germany was able to adopt a cleaner power source and that the rest of the world could follow their lead

Just for reference for people who don't keep up with the news...
Last year, following the tsunami, there was a nuclear emergency at the Fukushima plant after some reactors couldn't be shut down. A radioactive release occurred and, though Polyphony were not directly affected (there was a minor increase in background in Tokyo), some employees had family living in more affected regions. This was one factor that prompted an expansion of the PD offices to a second location in Fukuoka on the other side of the country, away from any nuclear power plants. Shortly afterwards, Germany shut down many of its nuclear reactors - of similar, but newer design to Fukushima - pending a review of nuclear power in the country, even though the country is not really a high risk for a tsunami impact that caused the problems at Fukushima. That was followed by the decision to remove all nuclear power in Germany by 2022. This news has popped its head up again today because a consortium founded by two German power companies - E.On and RWE - have decided to sell their sites and not pursue nuclear power generation in the UK, largely blaming the costs of decommissioning the existing nuclear power stations in Germany. Meanwhile in Japan, nuclear power goes on unabated. The Tweet seems to be a reaction to the news from the UK, praising Germany for moving away from nuclear power - and the speed of its response - while Japan presses on with it because Japan doesn't change its mind. I don't necessarily agree with his apparently anti-nuclear power sentiment, but then I've not had to move half my staff and their families 300 miles across a country because a local nuclear power plant exploded... |

Thanks, Famine. I knew "Germany" got a bit worried over nuclear power, but didn't realise they'd decided to be rid of it entirely. Interesting.
The renewable ideal is inspiring, but time will tell. |

Uhm, that's not entirely true. All but 1(!) reactor in Japan are currently deactivated and it is unclear, if they will ever go online again due to restrictions imposed by the government that are very hard to reach.

Slow in, Fast out
I just translated about 15 tweets from Kaz's account. They are all from 10 days ago. Some are his, and some are from fans. there was a lot of action that day for him on twitter. He tweeted a lot. He keeps talking about A Dome, Supra RZ, AE86 and a Trueno. He also got some fan tweets saying they want 80's/90's DLC and he retweeted those tweets. He's giving a hint by retweeting those. He also said the opinion is likely to split on cars. So we are most likely getting 80's/90's Japanese cars in the next DLC.
