I just realized that trying to finish GT Life before engaging to WRS was practically impossible (and a little bit dumb, considering there are still some updates that will change things...I am specially waiting for the update which will allow us to save endurance races, mid-championships and so on)...
Will give it a go this week for sectors 2 & 3 Good luck everyone |

So did some more runs this weekend.
1) reversed the trend, where I used to win a second easily, I find it easy to lose 2 seconds now. ![]() 2) Played a bit with ABS on 2 and TCS on 1-2-3, it gives a bit more control when jumping unfortunately, but no time gain for me. ![]() ![]() 3) Turned off all the information on the screen, complete HUD and times. I broke both sector records in the next 30 minutes. I drive with the bumper view, so I do not see speed, RPM, gear or current time this way. But I have been driving so much I know the sound and where the limits of the gears are by now. It seems that purely concentrating on the line really helped me, got the apex a lot cleaner. (gains were only .200 of the total time, but a lot better then the general +4sec on the total I had been driving regularly.) Very clean runs as well. I'm very close to a psychological limit (what I believed to be Div 1 time, but doubt that very much now), so want to dip under before I submit. The game is not over. ===================== Had some very strange runs:
Happy not to have to submit that run though.

After a few online races with friends and spending three or so hours on the GTP Registry assignment, I've realized that I'm absolutely terrible at this game. I knew that I wasn't great, but didn't really have a feel for the severity of my lack of skill.
I'm going to give it another go next weekend before I submit, and hope to shave a good couple seconds off of my times. If I don't, I'll be seeing some fierce competition in Division 10 Bronze. |

I was going to submit my times, but today a little devilish voice ordered me to get the T500 RS wheel. So I did and expect it to be delivered tomorrow. Maybe this wheel will gain me a few tenth of second.

Time submitted, good luck to everyone.

I think I might be done with my times.
I set my best sector 2 at the start of last week after a few days on it. Since then I haven't really been able to get close to it, and even when I do get close it's not really in danger of being beaten. My sector 3 got reduced to a time I was happy with. Whilst I know that a better run at the start of the lap would yield even more time (and I've done better starting runs frequently) I think I'll probably give this one up. It's not maxed out in the sense I know I could get more time if I ran it a lot more, but I think it's actually better than my sector 2 relatively speaking, even though I can get closer to repeating my sector 3 than I can my sector 2 (odd situation really). Maybe I'll pick one of them and give it another few days to get back up to speed and try to knock a bit more off, but psychologically once I got the last couple of tenths I'd been chasing off sector 3 I felt a little more safe about the time, and my drive to improve it dropped off a bit. Both times basically set in a week; granted that I did give them quite a bit of time each though. Division 2 would be nice, I'd be terribly disappointed with less. Depending on what the time-spread is from Div1 Gold-Bronze I'd harbor a slim hope of squeaking in there towards the bottom. Maybe if the total time variation from gold-bronze was around half to three-quarters of a second; even then it might be asking a bit much though.
