Further explanation of the theme, provided by Giulietta73:

"Take any car to any variation of the Nordschleife and capture the speed and danger of the descent into Fuchsröhre. (Fox Hole)"

CARS: Any
LOCATIONS: any variation of the Nordschleife including time/weather change.
PHOTOTRAVEL: No
UNIQUE RESTRICTIONS: Any shot from between the right-hander at Aremberg and the right-hander towards Adenauer Forst - where the little pedestrian crossing is. Have a look here.
Night shots are permitted as long as the location is recognizable. Good luck.

Please, ensure you read and understand all requirements for this competition. Failure to follow
the rules may result in disqualification. If you have questions, send me a Private Message.
This Thread will answer many possible questions you may have.

  • It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack,
    Photobucket, or Flickr.
  • Not sure how to post a thumbnail or preview image?
    Read this sticky!
  • Please use a clickable-preview to full-size, not a separate text link for it;
it makes poll creation much easier!

  • No post-GT5 editing, besides proportionally resize and rotate, is allowed.
[*]One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a comp.
[*]Do not ask other users to choose your entry.
[*]Absolutely no hybrid, hacked cars, or cars obtained through such means.
[*]Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text. On H2H weeks, which side, as well.
[*]You may change your entry once. Do it clearly; edit out your previous entry, and
either post the new one in a new reply, or in place of the original.
[*]When submitting, use either a thumbnail or a preview image, linked to the full-sizer.
[*]Preview images can not exceed 500 pixels in either direction.
[*]A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
[*]Do not post "Honourable Mentions" or outtakes - just your Final Entry, that's all.
[*]Winner gets to choose the following week's theme, as well as the Top 25. Every fourth
week, the poll will be H2H style: entries must choose a "team", leading to two 12-picture,
4-day polls. The winners from each faces off in a final 48 hour poll.
[*]Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
[*]The Host may ask for the original image and it must be submitted if so.
It's recommended to save the original image (preferably in-game) until week's ends.
Failure to follow these rules will result in ignored entries and/or disqualification!

Thanks Sean, glad you like it:tup:

I've done plenty of shoots here as at the bottom of the hill the cars suspension really compresses as they start the upward climb - great for stance shots (pre-hybridding of course). Also the kerb at the top of the hill on the left is great for air shots. Add in time of day & weather, we should get some great shots:tup:

Think I saw that in the Qualifying round of the PMC tournament?^

Spot on Skulls:tup:
Pflanzgarten is on the opposite side of the circuit ShadowPeter. Great shot but it falls foul. It needs to be at Fuchsröhre - between the right-hander at Aremberg and the right-hander towards Adenauer Forst - where the little pedestrian crossing is. Click the link at the top for the map:tup:
Sorry ShadowPeter:tup:

Sorry ShadowPeter:tup:

So, only shots on between of this two locations, right??

^^Spot on:tup: All the way down, up the other side where there's a quick left followed by a sharp right. Perfect!

I believe you entered this photo in a previous week.

um, well, as per the rules, this entry has never previously been used in a comp., was shared in the flickr GT5 fine arts group but no comp.

Yes an image from the same "set", same car, same location, was used to qualify for pmc tournament season 6.

The entry here used a slightly different angle, aspect ratio and light exposure but indeed is the same subject.

It just seemed to fit the theme so perfectly.

Not sure if this is a rule breech but if so I shall change or remove.

Judge or host input kindly requested.

:)

EDIT: thanks G73 👍

Having looked at both shots on Flickr, it's clear that they are 2 different shots - not the same shot cropped differently. So it's totally fine with me Youtimestwo:tup:

Great shot :)

No-one complains when it's a poor one, so take it as a compliment :)
