52 lineups of the Gran Turismo World Championship - PAL VERSION

I have created two threads for this lineup thing...

One for viewing only which could be found here....

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=95225

And this is the viewable version in which you can comment on.

There have been many threads and many race reports about the Gran Turismo World Championship, but from I know does not describe what lineups you will probably get.

So here are wait for it.... 52 Lineups for the Gran Turismo World Championship under Professional Hall FOR PAL VERSION. This list was complied using the PAL version, but is probably different for NTSC and Japan versions of the game.

The AI lineups are the same every time, following a console reset, as well they are the same lineups in each car no matter what you drive. The A-Spec points will vary depending on what car you drive, the horsepower, power to weight ratio, front tyres used and downforce settings used. So I cannot give an accurate A-Spec points for each line, but it will give you lot an idea on what lineups you want to face and where to find the challenging lineups for good races.

Also the lineup order remains the same whether you enter the championship or individual races by the way.

So, here are the first 52 lineups for you to choose from...its a long list but enjoy the read

Anyway hope this helps and if you like it, then click the tick box on the top right of this thread.

NOTE: Also I realised that the NTSC and Japan versions have different lineups compared to the PAL version. So if anyone who has a NTSC or Japan versions of the game and wants to do a list of the GTWC lineups, let me know and I will put it onto a big list.

Comments and feedback are welcome.

Thanks

Well done for posting up that list, Sport.

I tend to compile similar lists too and when I post up race reports put in the grid number as part of the information but I've never considered listing the whole cycle 👍.

Quite an interesting line-up. I didn't realise GT4 varies the line-ups so often.

Most of the time I just re-start the race and hope to get a better set. :P Never though of making a list of it though. 👍

Edit:

What was the point of making two threads again?
If put in the FAQ threads, it can be easier to view than a thread full of replies.

Although, you could just link the first post in this thread separately to the same effect...

Excellent work - very handy reference tool! 👍 I've added a link to the reference thread in the main GT4 FAQ's (Lists section)...

Thanks guys for the appreciation so far.

The reason why I created a locked thread for this line up in a separate thread, so it will be easier for people to look at the list and people who have done FAQ's for GT4 can link it without getting any feedback. As well it is easier for people to have just the information on a thread so they can print it off for reference.

By the way, it took a couple of hours to write this up if you are just wondering how long it took for me to compile this list.

Anyway thanks for comments so far and I am glad it will be useful to people.

That's what I was thinking, It would have been easier to just use the single post instead making two threads.

Oh well, atleast you had you heart in the right place, and good work figuring all this out, I've yet to try this series again so I'm sure I could use this list.+rep.

So how does PD conjure these A-spec grids? (Arcade seems to be a bit different because of the difficulty setting)

They set a pool of AI cars, but I can't see them sitting down and making up an endless list of grids, so do they just use a fixed random seed (which would give the same pattern with each iteration) and just make up AI combinations without fixed lists? It seems the code would be tidier with a fixed random seed.

Cheers,

MasterGT

I´m not entirely sure about this, but if I am, something fishy is going on.
The last time I restarted GT4 and eventually came to the GTWC, I was up against the 11th lineup (IIRC), without reseting the field even once!
Any ideas of what might have happened?

EDIT: Actually I didn´t recall correctly! I´ve found some old posts, where I talk about this (in this thread), and the linup I encountered is not even listed!
The lineup was as follows:
Toyota GT-One
Toyota 7
Ford GT LM
Camaro LM
AMG Mercedes CLK-GTR

Thanks for the views so far.

Team666: I think your right that NTSC have a different lineup than PAL, so I have changed the thread lineup to PAL version Lineup than make it overall. My fault I should have done it earlier.

I would be interested though what are the lineups of the GTWC for NTSC and Japan versions, it would be a good comparision.

You are probably right mynameissport, but I´m running PAL actually!
My thoughts about this is that it may differ between versions of the game. I´m running a gen1 version of the game. Maybe the lineups are differrent if you run for example a platinum version.

....My thoughts about this is that it may differ between versions of the game. I´m running a gen1 version of the game.....

It probably isn't public knowlegde that PAL =/= PAL. I recently discovered this in my max A spec pursuit and when looking through an Old long thread noticed that Moloch_H had reported this too somewhere in 2005/2006.

In my specific case I was looking for lineup #11 in Nurb 1000 miles for the Corvette, Elan and SL300 and 2 other cars. I searched for this lineup right up to #111 and never got it. In the end I settled for my lineup #101.
2 a-spec nutters, one in UK and one in Portugal have the same #11.
All three of use share the same first four lineups but then it seems to branch out. We have the "same" GT4 disc. They compared my scanned GT4 disc label to theirs, no differences found.

I recently also bought the Platinum disc but have not yet checked above lineup #11.

Nowadays I refer to it as (my) PAL lineup #xx and list all the AI.
I'm nowadays a bit hesitant to only list lineup #.
I can't answer this question for NTSC though.

AMG.

I'm working myself through GTWC and besides learning a lot about myself in regards to self control and dealing with great frustration I figured that the lineups for NA are the same as for PAL with the exception that they flipped the two cars Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car '98 and Toyota GT-ONE Race Car (TS020) '98. With other words were ever in your list the Nissan shows up for NA it is the Toyota and the other way around. This is confirmed until lineup 11 but I have no reason to believe that it changes thereafter.
