6/6/12 - A-spec: 500PP FR Challenge

I ran stock version 0.97 for most of the game, only got online in March 2012 (Mayan Codex said I had to)

Just a pain when you look in the filtered garage and it has already remove a few cars that were just over the edge.

I think I bought an Alfa 8C - 501pp expectding to have to alter the PP but when I did enter the set up area... it was already under 500, And to top that off the Seasonal denied me entry until I did look at my current car.

Funny quirky game.

I didn't know so thanks.. esstwokaytwokaythree

Built up a quick 86 GT '12 450pp (225HP/1225kg) to run around the HSR event. Can beat the Shelby by about 1-1.5 seconds, and still a little over 700k in credits. Not bad for 6 minutes worth of work I guess in today's GT5 conditions.

Camero SS RM is beastly for playing around.

Paint it bright green and every time you pass a car you can knock it off the track and yell "Hulk SMASH!!!"

BTW, first post I see. Welcome to the forum.

Where can I find this tune? Thanks!

Ford SVT Cobra at 474pp won for me at HSR fairly easily, passed Shelby on braking for turn 2, last lap, then took it easy. Jag E Type '62 tuned to 465 was fast but a little wobbly through the Esses so only good for 3 rd. Probably go for a lighter car for the more twisty courses.

I ran a Maserati to win all five then an Alfa 8C Competizione and again won all five races. Both cars with all the none pp affecting bells and whistles and enough weight/engine tuning to 500pp. It was hard to get all fve, I took a couple of goes to win on some of the tighter tracks, but great fun.
I do hope they won't produce too many Challenges at 400pp, 500pp or 650pp as I already have dozens of cars tuned to these levels. The 430pp FF Challenge really made me use some cars I've never used before.
Next I'll be running some lower power cars to see how low I can go and still win.

I'll bet the next one is a 650 pp event and the fast boys will be using mid high 500 pps.

If it is, then a completely de tuned 2J should be easy!

Running an 86gt '12 at 420pp ~200hp. First checkpoint I was ~18sec back but finish 35sec behind to a rx-7 spirit '02.

Gotta love that even when you're climbing from 12th to 2nd.....there is always the 1st car stretching the initial lead with 15 extra sec

I just did 8:42.009 at mt aso in a Mazda roadster tc with sport medium tires and earned 358,000 credits

Finished 1st on Mt.Aso with a Toyota 86GT@390pp with Praiano's Tune.

Lap 1. 1.16:709
Lap 2. 1.14:588
Lap 3. 1.13:537
Lap 4. 1.18:149 Took the lead at the end of the lap eventhough i crashed a lot
Lap 5. 1.14:623
Lap 6. 1.14:775
Lap 7. 1.14:832
Total Time: 8.47:213

The car that started in 1st was the Toyota Supra RZ '97. Finished ahead by 14.564.

Total payout was $1‚279‚849 with 170% bonus. (PDA $975‚550)

Can't get the trans tune set all the way like Praiano's. Final, top speed and 1-4 match.
5th asks for 1.009 and 6th asks for .852. But for those I can only get to .988 and .816.

You using his 450pp setup and detuned or the 500pp setup and detuned?

I see you're having the same problem as I am, I'm using the RX-7 TC from the DLC tuned down to 500 PP and still finish second every time at Tokyo, the first guy just stretches his lead so much before I get to 2nd it seems impossible to catch him, he wins by 2 seconds every time.

Depending on if yours or Parianos car is fully broken in some numbers will not match. Guessing he has a fully broken in car (over 200miles and oil change). Once yours is, the numbers should match 👍

I got gold with the Mazda roadster tc because I tune it at the nurburgring with racing tires and i got a wheel.so the car was pretty easy to drive with sport medium

is the series 1 the fastest leader?

im using really heavy cars to get a good lowpp/bonus payout on HSR
Silverado SST might be a winner!

won by 7 seconds in a super detuned Opera Performance S2000 (156 hp, 1130 kg, no downforce) at cape ring

Wittled my GT86 down to 369PP on Mt.Aso using Praiano's initial set-up, heaviest weight & lowest power limiter but I'm still winning albeit by not much.

Either way still getting a decent amount of coins back off at 1.3M a race with 200% bonus.

Just did Mt. Aso with a 86 GT '12, 370pp. Very fun! I guess I was lucky with the Infiniti in 1st...

Here are the screenshots (Sorry for the quality, pictures taken with my Cellphone):

Good job you did there :D

Thankfully you posted pictures, I thought people were going to doubt the GT86's ability to win at 369/370PP :scared:

I must be having a really bad off day. Used above 86gt setup + window mod and got 7th on Aso.

Switched to a 450 and it flew on CR.

With max weight and min power the Opera S is still 389PP. I want to go lower so I'm letting Bob dirty up the oil in the tSukuba 9hr.

Using a standard S2000 and by standard i mean not a tuned version like opera, amuse,& spoon

This is a pain in the 🤬. 374pp 86gt with a fiddled tuned from Praiano, best I could do was 2nd with the RX-7 in the lead. Payout was roughly 890,000cr with a 200% bonus.

Maybe a detuned Series 1 would win?
