Gameplay in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 resembles that of Battlefield: Bad Company and like its predecessor, Bad Company 2 features destructible environments. However, more destruction is now possible; players can now completely destroy a building rather than just its walls.
Multiplayer will allow players to choose from a set of weapon kits before each spawn, the number of which has been further reduced from Bad Company's five down to four: "Assault," "Engineer," "Recon," and "Medic," removing the "Specialist" kit, whose compact assault rifle and C4 abilities have been split between the "Engineer" and "Recon" classes, respectively.
If pre-ordered at GameStop, and EB Games in Canada, the AKS-74 will be unlocked for use.
On October 19, 2009, game developer DICE posted a Twitter announcement stating the game will have dedicated server support.

I was really impressed with the first one, totally not the generic war shooter I was expecting. Hopefully this will retain the light-hearted vibe and phenomenal sound design from the first game. Hopefully the whole game won't have a film grain effect though, that was annoying.

Far from a medicore game, some would say it's one of the top 3 shooters! personaly I'd put it in the top 5. It has it's own individuality in it's destructable enviroments and vehicles.....not the only game with these features but it certainly uses them to the best effect and it's online gameplay is exceptional.

Best online shooter ever. I have 360 version. I play more than gt5p atm as I am sick of the gt5p online. Only 2 games i play. Having a squad to make tactics with and talk to make it really fun. I havnt even touched the single player.

I quite enjoyed BF:BC, which is rare for me among modern shooters. I greatly preferred it over CoD4. Also my brother plays it the most of all the shooters he plays, especially online. I most likely will buy BF:BC2 if it is at least as good as the original.

I completely agree with that. Generally, I don't enjoy modern shooters, so this was a surprise. The sound is probably the best part, if I set a loud enough volume, I feel totally immersed sometimes and forget it's just a game. It was just phenomenal. And I will definitely give BF: BC2 a shot when it comes out.

I don't understand why you guys accept and praise mediocrity.

Only 24 players online should not be acceptable with the PS3 and first person shooters.

Resistance has 60 players online, Killzone 2 has 32, MAG has 256, and Battlefield 2 for the PC, which came out ages ago, has 64

It's lazy developing by EA

Just like how their NASCAR games can only support what, a dozen cars online at a time? Papyrus' NASCAR games have supported 43 car online races since the turn of the century.

I will not accept mediocrity when they can do so much better. Neither should you.

Not everyone plays online either. I very rarely touch online in any game, so how many players a game can have online is of no importance to me. In fact, I have never played any shooters online outside of BF2, and that was only once...
Anyway just because a game is mediocre to you doesn't mean others feel the same way. Not everyone has the same tastes and opinions when it comes to games (or anything else for that matter).

Ok, first of all : YOUR standards for high quality are not necessarily ours.

Personally I don't care how many players are in a game. Best shooter to date ? Call of Duty 4 in my opinion. I only play S&D. 12 players. More than enough for me. I also played BFBC a lot and I never felt, that there need to be more players, although I also played in 64 player games in Battlefield 2 (PC). It can be ok, it can even improve the experience from time to time but mass alone doesn't help. After all you personally never fight 50 people, you end up fighting at 3 to 5 at a time.

Also I don't need more than 6 cars in a grid in Gran Turismo 5. I would happily sacrifice a 20 player grid for better looking and interactive environment graphics.

See ? Quality standards vary, so you should change the tone of your posts; you sound like a teacher speaking to 9 year old kids, because you seem to think that your opinion is theaccepted standard. Which it isn't.

Socom 2 did better than part 1.
COD4 did better than COD3
Marvel Vs capcom 2 improved Marvel vs Capcom
IMO,Contra 3 : alien Wars was way better than Contra.

Im definately getting this game... no questions asked... I've played BF:BC too death online... Conquest mode FTW!

I enjoyed Bad Company a lot. my only problem as Hereward may attest to was the voice coms being total utter crap!

I personally didn't notice the lacy of players running around myself, it all depends on what the maps are designed for really.

Yeah the coms were an issue in badcompany and BF2 on the 360......they tried to use the system which SOCOM impliments spectacularly well......But it was really hit or miss, mostly miss LOL great game though, but would be more team orientated if the coms get sorted. Stiff compertition from MAG, ArmA II, COD modern 2, Flashpoint 2.........ect ect all due around the same time! I think they need to really need to push the reality aspects and online team aspects to stop it getting lost in the crush.

how about battlefield 1943, it comes out on the 9th. sounds like a good time filler while we wait for bad company 2.

I think i'll miss out on 1943 (even though it is cheap) and just wait for Battlefield 3 for my next real Battlefield fix :P

Hey guys, the codes are all gone... :(
If anyone has a spare (some people got many !!) could you please please please PM me one ??
