Best sleeper/fun car?

I've got two favourites: Suzuki GSX-R/4 because its basically super fast go-kart and the Amuse S2000 GT1 because its so over the top. I also love driving American muscle cars on the rally tracks, they give you no grip whatsoever.

My favourite sleeper has to be my BMW 2002 Turbo. 340hp in a tail-happy car weighing 950kg. :sly:

My favourite fun car is my lightly tuned Griffith 500. Most people complain about the handling, but I love it! Never heard of this understeer everyone's on about. ;)

i just bought a 88 honda accord and tuned it all the way up and stuff and it was actually very fun... it was fast and liked to powerslide threw turns:sly:

sleepers? well, from new cars, I must say that yaris/vitz turbo is quite nasty surprize in the grid..

Toyota Corolla RUNX
Honda Integra Type R (I'm not sure if this would be considered a sleeper or not, but it handles great!)
Mazda RX-8

I just did the Alps rally race on hard with the Land Rover Range Stormer. No power mods except port polish and engine balance for better rpm and torque, no weight mods, and suspension/brake work. 200 A-spec point race (well over 200 really as I think I could have added like 150 more HP before going below 200 points).

I tried it just for laughs, 1 because I love that car, and 2 because I wanted to see how such a reduclously heavy SUV would handle on a fast dirt track. Well, it's totally opposite of what I like in racing cars (I like light, nimble, quick cars with great cornering) but this was really fun and much to my surprise very competitive. I actually won pretty easily on the first race (normal direction) vs the Mitsu Lancer Evo. I had a bit more trouble on the second race (reverse) vs an Impreza rally car since the Stormer seemed to be at much more of a disadvantage in that direction, mainly from the uphill areas where it lagged while the lightweight competition shot up it. I lost on the first try by about 2 seconds. The second try on the first turn in the stupid AI bumped me on the side and it gave me a 5 sec penalty right when I was about to throttle out of a turn. I spent the entire rest of the 5 laps trying to catch up. Literally at the last bend of the final lap I threw the fat a$$ of the Stormer around and beat the Impreza by .2 seconds.

The Range Stormer turned out to be a hell of alot of fun. Weighed over twice as much as my competition but that extra weight also helped dig those tires into the dirt for traction. So heavy that you could drift turn for like a 1/4 mile ...lol Well worth the 200 point race as it was very difficult, but also very fun. I watched the entire replay laughing while seeing this huge beast just roar around the bends throwing it's a$$ around like J-Lo.

I highly recommend trying the Range Stormer on a rally race. It's a real blast and probably nothing like you are used to. It's also one great looking gas guzzler.

Take the Range Stormer and go and race the Mercedes SLR for some fun:sly:.
One car that you don't think of using is the Dome Zero '78, 350HP and light:tup:.
And one more is the Dodge Ram, it's fun beating Vipers with it:).

AngelCreator: If you look at the 200 point A-spec race posts, you will find many people Ram it up so to speak by using the dodge Ram to get 200 points. For some weird reason you can race it in many races and get 200 A-spec points and it severly overpowers the opposition. Most people including myself find it pretty lame as 200 point races arent usually that hard anyways with the exception of maybe 5-10% of them being tough. Still, the Ram is a real beast of a truck regardless and fun to drive as it's weight+power makes for some fun drifting :)

The Holden Commodore SS can raise a few eyes... Nothing like kicking tuned NSX ass with a stock sedan at the Nür 4 hr. :D

yea carinas are quick, i drive a carina 2 1.6 16v estae in real life, and it keeps up with ford escort rs turbos and even my mates rs focus, , they are suprisingly quick cars, but rember they do say the car in front is a toyota,

seriously tho best STOCK car : has to be the in my eyes, mazda fd type r bathhurst in yellow :):) ( rx-7 for the none initial d literate among us _

best sleeper, the susuki concept s-2

Lotus Carlton. When I was at school my girlfriends Dad had one.

Big car (by UK standards), great fun to max-out and go drifting in.

This is a new, sorta exclusive car, but you'd never expect it to be this good....

The Mazda Kusabi (Silver Domestic B prize car) is a great car! I raced it because i heard it'd win the compact races, and it trounced them. The car has decent power (stock) and handles very well (also stock), it can also drift around corners if you want it to. Awesome, very udnerated car.

Suzuki Cappuccino: Do I really need to say how much fun this car is???

AE86 Sprinter (Panda): Legend :)

R32 GT-R: Yea, I'm addicted to them... Going to buy one hopefully...eventually

Suzuki GXR thing: AMAZING when its fully tuned, owns all of my LM cars at the Ring :embarrassed:

Mazda AZ-1
Tuned and well set up this is one of the single most enjoyable cars to drive in the game. Highely recomended.

Nissan Primera 2.0te (or GT as it was in the UK)
I used to drive one of these (and seriously regret getting rid of it) and the GT4 version does the real car justice, an excellent handling FWD car that loves to be driven on the throttle.

Mitsubishi Legnum 2.5 V6 VR4 Twin Turbo
Gave this a go in GT4 as my dad has just bought one and I have to say its a great car, a total blast given its size and bulk. The real things no slouch either.

Regards

Scaff

If you want a good sleeper and fun to drive car go and try to win the
Mitsubishi i. It's a fun MR car to drive and it's lite:).

I have found the '93 Nissan SKYLINE R32 GT-R V-spec is an awsome car for an awesome price... i have one and tuned it up and its a blast:tup: :sly:

I wish there was the :

1955 Renault Dauphine Gordini
1971 Renault 12 GTS Gordini
1973 Renault 17 GTS Gordini
1972 Fiat 124 Abarth
1975 Fiat 131 Mirafiori
1968 NSU Sprint
1997 Lada Samara
1960 Trabant
1960 Wartburg
2003 Lada Vega
2000 Lada Niva
2006 Hyundai Getz

as exotic and authentic cars... also, as there are even pickup trucks and SUV' s in the line up, there could have been a few more SUV's and MPV' s such as :

1970 Ford Transit
1970 Zuk
2000 Gaz
200_ Chrysler Chrokee
200_Toyota Land Cruiser Prado
200_ Suzuki Grand Vitara
200_ Renault Trafic or Espace

Well I can spell out an awful lot of exotic cars and vehicles we would be interested in at least simulating driving. But well, PS2 is about to puff out it's last breath and I don' t know if EA and Kazunori have plans of doing a GT5...

If yes, I' ll be there buying it...

i think the cars looks like bimbo bread...
like dahiatsu move...
i cant understand how those cars can stay in the road and dont roll (i know in gt4 the car cant roll but in real life???... i saw something like that with the first version of the mercedes clase A.. in the cone test they roll as hell.. and there is a fun car to drive too)
