With the Red Bull X2011 is very doable. I just ran a 5:05 with a couple of runoffs that cost me about 10 seconds.

I suggest you try it, its amazing.

I also tried it with the new Chaparral, but its trerrible... understeering everywhere... and you cant change anything on the car, only brakes. This car is absolutely nowhere near the Red Bulls in terms of performance.

I did.... I thought those cars were much harder to drive fast with a wheel because you need to steer so fast?
And no Im not that good lol. I think all you need is to learn the track well and do some practice laps. I think the red bulls kinda suit this track because of so many high speed corners. Its such a great experience.

Yeah I guess you would destroy your wheel set trying to "drive" a X2011....Because of sheer frustration...
Rage-induced throwing tantrums would be way more expensive with a wheel.....

Yes on the other hand using a controller you only need precision with the joystick

practice mode, I used 440 km/h max speed and aerodynamics at full.

Track settings I left them as they came. Driving aids I used ABS at 1 and SRF on because of so much power.

If driving the X cars is harder for you with a wheel, something's wrong. When I only had a DS3 I had trouble getting gold on the Vettel TT's. Got a T500 this summer, and ran a top 100 time in the Suzuka time trial some time ago... Yeah wheel is way easier.

Just had a quick go at trying to break 5 mins with the X2011 .

Sierra practice mode. Track settings as they came. Fully stock X2011.
Wheel. Manual gears. ABS 1 only.

Lap time: 4:58.916 👍.

It was a very rough lap . I would say a lap much quicker is definitely doable 👍.

I won't be rushing to try and beat my time though! ......👍.

I'm going for a sleep now.....

Yay, I got a new personal record! well under 5 mins. Sadly the lap was not 100% clean, I hit a wall at some point near the end therefore red numbers.

First clean lap... 5:25 with my usual settings (i.e. car bone stock, ABS 1, TCS/SRF Off, T500RS). I can't see where I left 25 seconds on the table, so I'm guessing I can't do it, but then I've never been a fan of the RB X's

They thing to do is run 5 laps in succession, load the data in to Motec, then see what your eclectic time is, that will give you a realistic target to aim for.

4:48.702 with the X2014. No aids, all default track settings, RH tires. I still think I left maybe a second or two on the table because some of my lines weren't exactly great.

EDIT: So I slapped on a pair of RS tires and dropped my downforce back to default and turned a 4:32.685. I'm pretty satisfied with this lap, though I get the feeling there's still a couple more tenths out there as I got a bit of oversteer on exit a few times due to minorly overcooking some of the turns.

Omg, I completely forgot about this thread and I even posted and said that I was gonna try, my memory fails :/

BTW I think you should post the car used along with the time. Theorically the X2011 is faster, but also I suppose its harder to drive fast because of that amount of power.
