Thanks for the great review @DaDog glad you liked it wing and all. :P Also worth mentioning is brake balance has really changed post 1.04 so I need to get together with our group at the ring and do some updating. :cheers:

But yes I did rush and buy the first thing I saw even though they are next to each other :dunce:. The RS-Z does have one more pp in stock form for the same HP/weight.
 
I haven't had much time to tune the past few weeks but I did manage to sqeeze some driving in. Hopefully, I can get around to driving and tuning more frequently! With the many Mazda RX tunes coming out of the bays at COTHO I've got my 500pp RX8 '07 in the works. Also, I've almost found acceptable multi-track transmission settings for a certain bright orange Kubelwagen :)

This is number three on my "To tune" list. A drift tune and a lotus are ahead of it, because I said I'd test them out. I've been fairly busy on the weekdays, and the only reason I'm still active on here is the beauty of multiple tabs.

This thing is a blast to drive! Still some understeer but it provides stability. Much better than stock, about 11 seconds faster on the ring.

Great tune as always.

It will give general tips for getting the performance that suits each persons driving preference best. You can start by lowering the front spring rate by -.02 at a time until it turns in like you want. (ex 6.00 to 5.98 to 5.96) this will increase oversteer but also cause the rear to step out easier under acceleration out of tight corners. Its always a little bit of give and take when fine tuning. Good luck and let me know if this works for you.

Edit: I changed first gear and final gearing plus changed the acceleration LSD from 10 to 11 since first posting.:cheers:

I've finished playing until probably tomorrow evening, but I'll make the gearing change tomorrow.

And I think the understeer suits it well. It's enough to keep it stable in the turns, but not so much to where it majorly affects your corner speed.
 
Owners Manual for using acsr421 tunes in GT6
This is my first attempt at writing a guide so don't set your expectations to high.
We all have different driving styles and car setup preferences so I consider all my setups as base tunes that can be customised by each person. Here are some general tips to help you get better performance.

1: LSD and Spring rates

I tune using the LSD and spring rates as my primary settings. @Motor City Hami has a great guide for the LSD and explains it better than I can.
For the spring rates because of the way I tune adjusting them will likely give the best results

A: Warning there is an amount of give take by doing this
B: If the car shows symptoms of understeer you can lower the front spring rate by -.02 raise the rear spring rate by +.02 at a time or both until you find the desired setting.
C: If the car shows symptoms of oversteer add to the front spring rate by +.02 lower rear spring rate by -.02 or both until the desired setting is reached.
D: If the car feels too softly sprung raise both the front and rear spring rates 5% at a time until the desired setting is reached.
E: For a car that feels too stiff do just the opposite and subtract both front and rear 5% at a time until the desired setting is reached.

2: Brakes
Pretty simple, a higher number equals more bite with less pressure needed
A: higher front and lower rear gives more stability but less rotation when braking at an angle
B: higher rear and lower front gives more rotation and less stability when braking at an angle
C: adjust as needed, I sometimes use different settings for different tracks

3: Gearing
I use @praiano63 guide

4: Never use Race tires with any of my street cars you won't like the results. Inconsistant grip slip levels constantly changing the whole time. I don't mind people who run race tires I just don't tune for their use.

5: Ride Height, Shocks, Camber, Toe to come in a future update

Ol'Harvey Wallbanger needed a new car to keep pace with the Evo's, Imprezza's RX-7's and Elise's that he was encountering all the time in 450PP and 500PP races.
Now Ol'Harvey is a long time fan of Audi so after trying several different models he finally settled on the TTS.
Code named Valkyrie after the mythological women warriors that chose the slain hero's for Valhalla and then served them in the mead halls.
The TTS has proven to be a fantastic car that is fun, easy to drive and very competitive with the best in class.

I called in hoping to find a killer tune for the 86GT Anniversary Edition after being blown away in an online lobby last night.

Anyway, I bought and built this car and really enjoyed the drive. It feels tight and is very well planted. Thought it a bit understeery at first but after a couple of laps it came into its own. Liked the transmission and was impressed with the speed it could carry through medium and fast corners.

I couldn't drive it quick as the 86GT I saw last night, guess I'll just have to suck it up and accept how much quicker that guy was than me.
 
The Savanna/Infiniti/Porsche-944-rip-off/FC RX7 has been given a small update, mainly just a slight LSD tweak and suspension adjustments. Give it a go if you wish to risk updating, etc. :lol:

I've built the car and done a couple of test laps, but I did something I don't usually do: test the stock car.

To reduce the disadvantage I added power mods to 447pp, 295bhp added SH tyres then went for a few laps at Trial Mountain. I then made the tune and ran a few more at TM and 2 laps of the Nordscheife. I quite liked the stock ride, though it suffers considerable understeer, is a little bit soft and weighty, and the road gearbox is typically not quite suited to the track.

The tune massively improves on the faults, with much better weight distribution, and makes the Scooby tight and responsive. Some of the understeer remains though (largely unavoidable in a 4wd), and the car is not so easy to correct if you are a bit fast or miss your line. However you can really carry speed through the corners when you get it right; the best way is to take the more traditional approach, and not to apply early power too early (this can induce understeer).

While driving smooth is inevitably the fastest way round the track, that is not to say you can't have some 4wd fun by throwing the back end round on the brakes, drifting to a late apex and powering away. You can try using this to stay on the tarmac the if you screw up entry and are not too fast. Which neatly brings me on to the brakes.

I'm not going to argue with the prowess and success of the likes of @praiano63, but I'm not entirely sure about the extreme rear brake bias. There are times when I find it really helps, such as dab to change direction or trail brake, and times when it just feels a bit unnatural and induces entry oversteer. I'll play with the settings a bit I think.

At Trial Mountain I improved on the stock (ish) time by over 3 seconds for a low 1:40.xxx only a couple of tenths slower than @Johnnypenso 's RS200 and I pulled an 8:03.xxx at the Nord (offline) with a bit of off-roading, but I think it is a sub 8:00.00 car for me.

When I said it was a tune for me - I was referring to your comment about it being a safe drive, and my terrible online driving record at The Hill. I think this will prove stable enough with some rear bias reduction and I might even make a clean lap in such a car :lol:.

Overall a really tidy, fast 4wd setup, which will reward the clean line but is also tenacious when sideways, and should keep you out of trouble. 👍

The brakes are the one setting I'm most displeased with, please let me know what works best for you. I liked the feel of BB 3/2 but I got better times with @praiano63 settup.

Well, I must apologize for my terrible post editing skills... I added the racing exhaust to the performance part list twice but, I actually needed to add it a third time:boggled:... tabbing around the browser while editing a post and pressing backspace didn't clear what I wanted to edit. It took me back to the previous page being the browser's window selection occurred before the edit window.:banghead: Thus, causing me to think all was well after the pictures were added.
