That extended preview was much better than the trailer shown on Sunday. Really looking forward to this now more than I was.

Heres the complete version with 3:22 of preview :).

Holy crapy whoa Dom really is after Letty? Thats messed up but I guess nothing is surprising. Yes very shocked she shot Dom. But obviously to maintain her "cover" with the current crew she is working for.

The blue GTR in F&F 6 looks horrid. Hopefully the Superbird gets some decent airtime & isn't totalled.....yeah right haha!

For those interested this is the Nissan GT-R featured in this movie.

I hadn't put any more attention to this to be sincere, but the publishing house I work for has landed a big-ass contract with Universal Mexico to promote the movie, and now the thing's all over the place.

The modified car mag I work for will put on a big-ass car show for the premiere at a drive in, and recently a kid's magazine contacted me and asked me to do some illustrations for an activity they have planned to publish on a special suplement. They asked me to toon-draw the Superbird, Interceptor, Escort and the blue GTR.

Them cars are cool, the Jensen looks specially awesome. I'll be obligued this time to go to the premiere, so I guess I have some catch up to do, last one I saw was Tokyo Drift lol.

I like how the filler movie turned out to be the best in the series
What was the "filler" movie you are talking about? I hope you are not talking about Tokyo Drift. That was easily the worst of the series imo.

I avoided the Fast 7 spoiler but dang cant believe they are already talking about Fast 7 without Fast 6 even being in the theaters yet?!! Are these Fast N Furious series being made by the developers of the COD series?:dunce:

LOL wut? I thought that they were saying that there was only going to be six...guess they couldn't keep their hands out of the cookie jar long enough.

Wow, feels like a strong streak of Triple X meets F&F. Also, I really hope they don't wreck that Interceptor III Letty's driving.

They confirmed 7 movies after the 5th one was released & that 7 would be the final one as it'll be set after Tokyo Drift & most likely wrap up everyone.

Which means we'll probably see Lucas Black, Bow Wow, & Nathalie Kelley return seeing as none of them have been all that busy in the film industry since Tokyo Drift.

Why do people hate Tokyo Drift that much, aside from the fact that the yakuza are a drift monkey gang who race their opposition to death?

The main character is annoying.

He was a bit I agree, but not that much.Really liked the change of 'scene' about that movie and still think it has the best car scenes in a FF Movie aside from the first one.

I'd rate TD as better than fast four and 2 fast 2 furious .

TD is my favorite. 👍

My Rating list of FF movies:

#1 Tokyo Drift
#2 The Fast and The Furious
#3 Fast Five
#4 2 Fast 2 Furious

#9001 Fast and Furious

Why do people hate Tokyo Drift that much
Because it's not a particularly well-made film.

The franchise had a ridiculous presmise to begin with, but Tokyo Drift was so ridiculous that it somehow managed to make its predecessors seem plausible.

I actually enjoyed Tokyo Drift more so than the later movies.

I dont know there was just something I liked about the story.

But it does Focus on a different car culture and it doesn't portrait it that badly,It isn't indeed a well made film but I'd argue it is better than 2 and 4 .

Crap if only they moved it up 3 days for my birthday . I don't mind watching it 3 days before, though. :) In the trailer, it seemed that FaF is going military. I'm pretty sure the whole point of the movie is to go fast, not blow people's brains up!

It's a world where high school students can somehow afford to own current-model imports (do they refer to them as "domestics" in Japan, since they were built there?) that have been extensively modified. The first film at least made the effort to explain how the characters could afford their cars.

Tokyo Drift is nothing more than an attempt to profit off the popularity of drifting, and does so by cobbling together cliches of gangsters with honour, Japanese culture, sport films in general and tie it all off with pseudo-zen philosophising. It's basically an exploitation film, but without the sex, violence or drug use.

With Fast Five, the studio consciously made the decision to move the franchise away from a series about illegal street racing, and towards the heist film genre. They felt that limiting it to street racing would mean the series would get stale quickly, and heist films opened up more potential for stories to tell.

They even knowingly skip a possible racing scene regarding the Porsche.

The whole scene there was run by DK who does have a wealthy uncle and does his own dirty work.

Fair but Too harsh of a criticism for a movie that at it's core just focuses on cars .

Biggest problem for me with Fast Five is they could have created a balance between racing and heists ,like classic mentioned we could have atleast seen the Porsche race .

It's still a cheap half-explanation for half the stuff in the film. I can udnerstand one character being able to afford a car like that, but not all of them.

But that's its problem: it doesn't respect its own material. It might only be light entertainment, but the film alternates between taking itself far too seriously (like Han's explanation of why he's willing to let the main character write off his car) and not taking itself seriously enough (like when a group of high school students all have hyper-expensive cars).

If it wants to focus on a subculture, then that's fine. But it needs to make the effort to understand that subculture, rather than standing back and watching a few videos on YouTube and then writing a film around it.

By the time FAST FIVE came around, the franchise had already exhausted its potential for racing sequences. After a while, they just get boring. The problem was that the film had been preceded by three very mediocre entries, which just wasted any potential for it.

THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS should have ended with Toretto getting caught. Cut to FAST FIVE, which opens with O'Connor breaking him out en route to the prison. O'Connor recruits him as an agent, using the breakout and Toretto's reputation to establish their credibility inside the criminal underworld. They then decide to go after the Brazilian guy.
