I don't exactly know where this would go, but it's a start...
The "game" is, you can create your own car company starting from any year, then list cars that your company makes.
Example:
(Car Company)
(Description of company)
(Founding Year)
(Your Company's first car)
(The Cars engine specs)
(Production Years for that model)
(Concepts)
(a brief description of future company plans; optional)

After your first post you don't have to keep reposting your company name, desc. Etc.

NRG

Founded in 1991 as a small New Zealand engineering firm focused on supplying parts for racing, NRG moved on to operating a sportscar racing team in the GT1 category with the advent of the McLaren F1 GTR in 1995. Using this experience with an all carbon car plans were made to build a purpose built race car to allow the team to be competitive in the GT1 class from 1997 onwards after the decision was made to drop the F1 GTR.

Pushing the boundaries of technology at the time the NRG PWR emerged with a large displacement V8 engine to ensure reliability and power along with a sequential gearbox as standard. Using an all carbon monocoque the PWR was very much a slightly larger, more aero focused F1 GTR as it featured the same 3 seater layout and butterfly doors.

Pushing the CLK-GTR's and 911 GT1's to their limits the PWR gained few wins during the 1998 season of the FIA GT. Improvements were made with weight being shed and in 1999 the team ran away with the GT1 title as Mercedes provided little to no competition due to moving into the LM-GTP class. With no-one left to battle in the then GT1 class NRG decided to revise the PWR and enter it into the LM-GTP class for the 2000 season. Still predominantly a road car (as much as a Le Mans Prototype can be a road car) the PWR-LM fared poorly against the more advanced competition and dropped out of competition after the 2000 24 Hours of Le Mans.

With the FIA GT running strongly in 2000, the PWR was replaced with the Typhoon and aimed squarely at the GTS class. Competition from the Porsches, Corvettes and Vipers proved too much for the underdeveloped Typhoon-GT with only a solitary win at the Race of a Thousand Years in Adelaide, Australia to close out the American Le Mans Series.

2001 proved a fresh start and with an updated and far more refined Typhoon-GTR, NRG Racing stormed on to a number of wins in the FIA GT and ALMS along with a hard fought victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This season proved to be by far the best for the team in the history of the Typhoon, with NRG pulling it's racing team from competition at the end of the year to focus on developing a new front engined coupe and a halo car replacement for the Typhoon. Typhoon-GTR's soldiered on for privateers in the FIA GT and ALMS until 2007 when the spares supply ran out, ending a 6 year career for NRG's most successful racer.

Year Founded:
1991.

First Car:
First car run by NRG Racing: 1995 McLaren F1 GTR
First car produced by NRG: 1997 NRG PWR

Powertrain:
7001cc DOHC V8.
600hp/850Nm - Road trim.
590hp/900Nm - Race trim.

Years Produced:
1997-2000

Concepts Produced by NRG:
1996 NRG Storm
1999 NRG Hurricane
2005 NRG R3, R3R
2007 NRG R5
2010 NRG R7, NRG GTR7

The Future for NRG:
With the R7 concept getting the green light for production NRG will return to international sportscar racing with testing programs set for the end of 2011. Being a fan of the GT1 class, the GTR7 will be aimed at the class for privateers to run whilst a GTE7R will be produced for the works team and privateers to run in ACO sanctioned endurance racing. The front engine coupe is a departure from the mid engined PWR and Typhoon hypercars but will not be the only model in the NRG lineup, a road going LMP1 racer (echoing the 1999-2000 PWR) is set for a debut in 2012 with the racer to turn its first wheel in anger at the opening round of the World Endurance Championship.

Sorry that's long, just felt like telling the story :P

Company: Lateral-G Vehicle Projects Ltd.

Backstory: Lateral-G began as a small Australian tuning firm specialising in Japanese imports in 2004. They quickly made themselves famous with various tuning packs for the Toyota Soarer, Subaru Impreza, Honda S2000 and later, the Mazda RX-8. The extreme pack for the Soarer in particular, dubbed the Vulcan TT-385 (TT for "twin-turbocharged", 385 for 385kW of power) proved to be a sales hit for the company despite the age of the car on which it was based. Lateral-G turned its attention to bespoke track day vehicle production in 2007 using a revised and forced induction version of Nissan's VQ35HR 3.5L V6. The result, "Firefly", was in production until late 2009 and made Lateral-G a hit in the niche custom-order track car market. In 2010 Lateral-G developed their own engine, a 1195cc naturally-aspirated V4 for use in in both an upcoming ATV, dubbed the Animus 1195; and an upcoming production touring bike called the ZS1195 Touring, both of which were released for the 2012 model year. Unlike the Firefly the Animus and ZS1195 were not custom-made but the side-effect was a much more widespread popularity. During this time they also made development plans for a new in-house engine codenamed "Ghost"; a twin-screw supercharged 4.7L V8.

JDM Replicas Alliance Ltd.

A group of car factories from the Pacific area (Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, Japan) banded together in the mid-2010s to produce (under licence, and with the same manufacturer badges) replicas of popular Japanese cars, ranging from Silvias, Skylines and Fairlady Zs to Imprezas, Evos and Supras. They produce replicas in two ways: you either send a basic model, e.g. a Silvia Spec-S, a Skyline GT-t, which is fitted with an engine built to the exact specs of the real thing (e.g. a GT-R replica would get a replicated RB26DETT) which would be powered by ethanol. Or, they would build one from scratch, which would be a lot more expensive. Many of these replicas have slight performance advantages over the models they were based on.

Famous models:
(Note: R=replica)
Civic Type R R-EK9 (190hp, 980kg)
Skyline GT-R R-BNR32 (350hp, 1,450kg)
Skyline GT-R R-BCNR33 (350hp, 1,440kg)
Skyline GT-R R-BNR34 (350hp, 1,450kg)
Silvia K's R-S13 (210hp, 1,150kg)
Impreza WRX STi 22B R-GC8 (320hp, 1,270kg)
Silvia Spec-R R-S15 (270hp, 1,200kg)
NSX R-NA2 (320hp, 1,200kg)
Sprinter Trueno R-AE86 (powered by a 4A-GZE based on the engine from the AE101) (180hp, 920kg)
MX-5 R-NA6C (160hp, 900kg)
Supra RZ R-JZA80 (340hp, 1,460kg)
RX-7 R-FC3S (260hp, 1,140kg)

We are currently performing R&D on the turbocharging front, and are looking to make around 800-1000horses sometime by the mid 80's.

Name: SinMo (Sin Motors Company)
Cheesy slogan: It's faster than sin!
Car: 2020 SinMo MPO
Specs: 2.0L I4 (so it's WRC compliant); 4,857hp; 5000 torques available from 2rpm to redline (because that much torque at 1rpm would snap your neck off); 900 miles per gallon; 5 gallon tank w/ 20 lbs. of hydrazine reserved to get you to the nearest gas station when you run dry.

The interior is made of horse leather and the airbags have been replaced with 2 trillion sobakawa pellets that shoot in your face in the event of an accident.

You also don't have to drive if you don't want to. The computer autopilot will take over and monitor traffic and drive wherever you tell it you want to go, and it will get you there in the shortest time possible. The only thing it can't do is parallel park.

The car is also smart enough to bring the power down several orders of magnitude depending on whether a man or woman is driving. So as not to be a sexist company, SinMoCo provides the detected female driver with a brief Q and A quiz after the customary welcome greeting. Douchebags are also included as "women" in the detection algorithm. We don't advertise on daytime television or MMA pay-per-views.

In addition to the computer that will make sure you never crash, the car also has a unique thrust vectoring system that offloads all rocket propellant into the direction of the oncoming vehicle that the computer has determined it cannot evade. Therefore, the car that's about to hit you will either be blown away, melt, or will at least impact with less force. In the process, the driver that hit you will die of asphyxiation... serves him right.

He would still be alive if he were driving a SinMo car.

I don't exactly know where this would go, but it's a start...
The "game" is, you can create your own car company starting from any year, then list cars that your company makes.

Car Company-PR Co. (Ploubis Racing Company) Pronounced Ploobus
Description-A car company created after 3 time Le Mans winner -blank- Ploubis opened a Tuning garage in 2019. Afterwards he used race earnings and money gained from buyers to fund a car company. Two years later he manufactured the GT2, a four door, four seater car, that was cheap, reliable, and fun! It later went on to win many awards, such as Motortrend Car of the Year. So far he uses racing funds to conduct research for the cars.
Founding Year-2019 for Tuning Garage, 2020 for Car Manufacturing.
First Car-XC-390
Engine Specs-(Description Below) Twin Turbo Direct Injected 1,400bhp 8.0L Straight 16 sent to the wheels through an All Wheel Drive. First car production car to reach 300mph and first car to reach a sub 1:00:0 time on the Top Gear Power Lap Times. (750kg)
Production Years-2020-Present Day
Concepts-A cheap thrills roadster is under design, while a Rally Coupe is about to be released and is already running on the WRC.
Future Company Plans-A WRC Hatchback is under discussion. Company plans on developing a race car similar to the X1.

Now, 750kg car with a 1,400bhp, and Straight 16? Is your mind going insane with a does not compute? Well, let me explain.

Design-It's basically a straight 8, on top of a straight 8.Each develop about 600hp each. There are two turbo's, but one is smaller, and delivers boost to the lower RPM's, and the other is larger, and delivers boost to higher RPM's, making sure there is no turbo lag. The car itself is made completely of carbon fiber, with no carpet, no radio, and only an air conditioner. It's only about as large as a BMW Z3, and is rear engined, looking like a hybrid between an Evora, a CCX, and a Mclaren F1. To save weight, our seats are manually adjustable, instead of electronically, our speedometers are analog, and are windows are lowered and raised by a lever.

Transmission-All of our cars are Manuals, less technology, equals less things to break down, it also saves weight. In this car, it's a 7 Speed.

Records-First road legal car to get to 300mph. Fastest road legal car in the world at 301mph, just ahead of the Koenisegg Agera RS at 296mph.

Car Company: Delta
Slogan: At delta, we didn't design the car you drive. We made it better.
Founding Year: 2011
First Car: BMW E36 ///M3
Engine Specs: See above.
Production Years: 2011
Concepts:
Toyota Supra (Mark IV), Toyota MR2 (2nd Gen), Nissan Skyline R32, Honda NSX (1st Generation), BMW E46 ///M3 Sedan, Honda Accord (5th Gen), RX-7 (3rd Gen)

Company Philosophy:

At delta, we take the best cars ever designed, and produce them brand new. All of the designs we produce are over 19 years old (patents expired). During those 19 years, the design flaws, weak components, and obvious areas for improvement are cataloged by drivers and design improvements are made in our factory before the delta version of the car is released. For example, in a few years when our E46 is released, we will combine the ///M3 drive train with the sedan body style... and this time we'll include a proper water pump and non-defective VANOS seals. We can charge a fraction of the original MSRP because we don't have to design our cars from scratch.

All delta cars come with a distinctive delta badge on the front and back to ensure that trademark confusion with the original cars is not possible.

Some modernization will occur with all cars. At delta, your safety is our top priority, and we ensure that all of our cars meet current government safety regulations wherever sold. Also, delta cars currently ship with a built-in touch screen android navigation system with our proprietary climate control and on-board sensor telemetry apps. This system will be designed to integrate as seamlessly as possible with the original car.

At delta, our motto is why fix what isn't broken. Let's not reinvent the car.

One final note. Don't expect to see a delta Porsche. They're already using our philosophy.

Current number of models (including concepts): 27

I've actually had this little company for a while, I created it on google's SketchUp and uploaded them onto their 3D warehouse. So I do have visuals of my models. I design and modify 3d models of cars (on my spare time). Feel free to have a look at them. Also, please don't start hating once you see the logo, I had a friend design it for me and...let's just say it looks awfully familiar to a real car company. :D

I think we should add manufacturing rivalries between each other. Maybe releasing cars to combat other companies sales, and then see what other people think and what they would buy. Just a thought however, but I think it would be quite interesting.

It's hard to do that when we have random car manufacturers in different time periods, I think we have one in 2020 :dunce:

Danoff, why choose Delta when you can choose Nu? In fact, you could be N&B Nu and Beta.

It's weird how I was planning to make one of these threads but was expecting about a million threads on it

Car Company: Sorcercar

Description of company: Sorcercar, started in 2005 as a tuning company, found fame quickly with tune-ups of popular models and from 2007 started building proper production cars. Funded with nearly limitless funds from their multi-billionaire owners, Sorcercar develops incredible amounts of technology each year to fit in their cars. They are part of a triple alliance with Mazda and Mitsubishi and provide many parts and cars for them, for instance they made a large majority of the new rereleased FTO and GTO models. They also combine forces with other manufacturers to create cars, with Audi, Fiat, Dodge and HKS among the manufacturers they have worked with. They compete across all different kinds of markets, mainly in Europe but also across the US and Asia. Their home base is the recently built Grand Valley Speedway in the UK, which also serves as a test track for all of their models.

Cars:

Sorcercar Citi (2010-present) - smallest car in range. Comes with 50 and 64 bhp petrol with 1.0 and 1.2 litre 3 cylinder units respectively, with the 1.2 available a lightly turbocharged 100bhp model. Lowest spec is currently the cheapest car in the UK at £6500.

Sorcercar Budgit (2009-present) - small hatchback based on the Mitsubishi Colt. Comes with similar engines as the Colt, with most powerful option a turbocharged 1.4 litre straight 4 with 166bhp.

Sorcercar Moderno (2008-present) - hatchback that has been critically acclaimed with many awards. Comes in 1.6 petrol, 1.8 petrol and 2.0 petrol and diesel 4 cylinder engines. 3 hot hatch options are available, two of which are based off the 2.0 petrol. The R is the first, with 197bhp. The RS is the second, with 260bhp. The final hot hatch is the RXR, which is fitted with the engine from a Mitsubishi Evo X FQ-400 (400bhp 2.0 straight 4) and 4WD, as well as incredible amounts of tech.

Sorcercar Familia (2009-present) - saloon that shares some parts with the Mazda 6. Engines are identical to the Mazda 6, but a 3.0 V6 turbocharged car with 380bhp has also been put on sale. A limited edition 600hp twin turbo 4.5 litre V8 version based off the endurance racer was also put into production at a limit of 45 units.

Sorcercar OTRP (2011-present) - SUV designed to take on off-road terrain, with OTRP standing for 'Off Road Technical Package'. Also shares a minor number of parts with the Mercedes GL SUV. Only engine is the 3.0 V6 from the Familia Turbo, without the turbo and with extra naturally aspirated tuning.

Sorcercar Terraza (2010-present) - lightweight sports car built to take on the Lotus Elise and Evora. Comes with the 380hp 3.0 V6 from the Familia Turbo, which can also be bought with no turbo and 300bhp. Car comes with 1000kg kerb weight.

Sorcercar VeloceGrande (2010-present) - supercar with a mid-mounted 6.0 V12 producing 600bhp. All models are actually a drop-top hard top. VeloceGrande literally means great speed in Italian.

Concepts:

Sorcercar AGS (2010) - Designed with building the 'fastest estate in the world', Sorcercar built this VeloceGrande V12 engined estate that clocked 200mph+ in testing. Plans to put the car into production are out of the question in this form, but the car itself could be built with more sensible engines.

Sorcercar VeloceGrande V (2011) - A faster, race-style version of the VeloceGrande. The V12 engine has been upgraded to 680bhp and the body has been completely rebuilt for a hugely aerodynamic feel and new engine parts and transmission make this the 'true' Sorcercar supercar.

Sorcercar EonZer (2010) - Perhaps one of the biggest headliners in car history, the EonZer was a joint venture with Audi to create the fastest, possibly road legal car ever. The amazing thing was though, the EonZer was an electric and diesel engine combined, essentially making it a diesel hybrid. The diesel was provided by two Audi V12 TDI engines making 1000hp+ alone, with the electric mapping system powerful enough to give off another 1000, giving close to unmeasurable torque levels. With the aerodynamics providing as slick a drive as possible, along with 4WD and a low weight for initial acceleration, the EonZer claimed to do 300mph on the dot. At a private test oval, the EonZer was tested for speed, and sure enough, hit the fabled 300mph marker. What is even more incredible is that the EonZer, technically speaking, is almost road legal...

Sorcercar Leggera (2011) - A super lightweight car built to give an experience close to Formula cars. 3 versions were built - the Nippon, which is built to give a similar feel to the Formula Nippon series cars, the GP, which is built to give a feeling like the GP2 series cars, and the Formula, which can almost pull off F1-style speeds. The engine is a 2.0 litre straight 4, rear-mounted for the Nippon and GP cars making 300 and 380bhp respectively, while the Formula has a rear-mounted 4.0 V8 engine producing 500bhp.

Race cars:

Sorcercar Familia Twin Turbo (2010-present) - A race car built off a Sorcercar Familia for the GT2 series. The chassis is still relatively recognisable, but the car is a whole new beast on the inside. The engine is the 3.0 V6 from the Familia Turbo, but given a more powerful turbo plus an added one to give 600bhp. The aerodynamic shape of the car has been greatly improved, which includes some stylish bottom-placed wheel covers to improve aerodynamic ability on the side of the car, and all new parts have been added to the car to make it as super-quick as possible. The Sorcercar won the Grand Valley 300km in both its debut year and this year. A limited edition, 45 unit homologation of this car was also built, made road-legal and kept in a basic white colour.

Sorcercar SGT (2011-present) - A new car from Sorcercar built to take on the Super GT against the mighty Honda HSV-010, Lexus SC430 and Nissan GT-R. The car, much like the Honda HSV, is simply built from scratch as opposed to being built from another car. It has the base specs of the average GT500 car, with 495bhp and 1100kg on tap. The aerodynamic setup gives it good airflow all around the car and allows for sweet acceleration and quick cornering. Currently, the main SGT, operated by Team Tecmo Divisions, is sitting 3rd in the championship having already won one race at the SUGO Sportsland.

Sorcercar VeloceGrande GT1 (2011) - The VeloceGrande was modified to GT1 specs for the 2011 season to race in the championship. The car's parts have been much upgraded, although the 6.0 V12 actually remains relatively unchanged. Most of the parts in this car made the VeloceGrande V concept, which is being planned for being the base of Sorcercar's GT1 challenger next year.

Sorcercar Terraza GT3 (2010-present) - The Terraza was quickly seen as a potential GT3 contender, and was homologated to 2010 specs quickly. The low weight meant a forced power penalty on the car from the FIA, but the car still obtains horsepower well above 475bhp. The Terraza has been given a considerable aerodynamic change and has been given a huge power boost as well. Weight is managed to be kept reasonably low despite new, stronger parts attached to the Terraza.

Sorcercar STRP2 (2011) - Sorcercar began a project in 2010 together with the Formula 1 team Scuderia Toro Rosso to create a Le Mans Prototype car to try and win Le Mans. The first car was the STRP, which had a hugely aerodynamic setup and a F1 style engine and transmission. However reliability beset the team in 2010, so for 2011, with the option of a 56th entry for the event, Sorcercar built a more conventional LMP style chassis, still with huge aerodynamics including a huge quad diffuser spread across the bottom of the car and earned more parts from the Scuderia Toro Rosso team. However, this time power was provided by Dodge, who built a 1000bhp 6.0 V12 for the car. With the final weight at 900kg, the STRP2 was born. The STRP2 was let into the race by the ACO, seeing it as a great opportunity to see how a car so powerful would do. The STRP2 was able to set lap times nearly 7 seconds faster than the other LMP's, and got through the race with no incident to win the race by nearly 2 laps and break the record for Le Mans, with a 3:12.7. Sorcercar now plan to make a simple LMP in an attempt to win the race fair and square next year.

Sorcercar XL1 (2011-present) - Sorcercar found one of the old STRP chassis, and decided to try and convert the car into a Pikes Peak car for the unlimited class. They changed many parts of the car, including the F1-like transmission and engine and gave the car a new suspension for offroading. The XL1 went to Pikes Peak this year and finished 3rd overall, behind Monster Tajima and Rhys Millen.

It's long, I know, but I wanna give a full database on my cars. I might release full specs for the cars soon too.

Company: Hanseong Motor Company (한성 자동차 주식회사)
____________________

Description: Hanseong Corporation is a huge and powerful company in South Korea. Not only is it market leader in everything from hairdryers to microwaves, it is also a huge political powerhouse because of it's importance in the Korean economy. Many of the former South Korean Prime Ministers are Hanseong executives, and they play an active role in mending the relationship between North and South by funding huge portions of aid that goes to the starving people of North Korea. Yes, on an international front, the company seems sensible, thoughtful and generous, though in reality it is run by brutal conglomerates that think of nothing but power, money and more power and money. In the dawn of the nineties, there was really only one segment the company hadn't captured, the automobile sector. The South Koreans only bought Hyundais, Kias and Daewoos, but the company secretly made deals with Toyota to change that. They got the license to produce Toyota's newly launched Ipsum, in exchange for giving Toyota 20% of the profits they would make on it. Thus, a new player on the Korean car market was born.
________________________

Founding Year: 1995
________________________

Hanseong's first car: Hanseong Kokkili (코끼리, Elephant), a licensed Toyota Ipsum. The Kokkili has become a Korean favorite, especially among families and cab drivers for its spacious and practical interior. While the the car's design is now getting old, people are choosing more modern, Korean cars that have far surpassed Toyota in quality and style. The Kokkili was only available with a 2.5-liter turbodiesel that is more known for its place in the Hilux lineup. Horsepower was rated at 97 hp @ 3800 rpm and a max torque rating of 241 Nm @ 2400 rpm. It was painfully slow, but it never let you down, hence the Kokkili's cult status as a dependable vehicle. It has been produced since 1996 in 2 million examples, until it was discontinued without an immediate successor in 2011.

Hanseong Motor Co. in the future:

Because of the marque's short lifespan, the company has yet to produce a concept vehicle, but Hanseong has great future plans. 1 trillion South Korean won has been granted to the construction of a huge design centre, Hanseong's own engineering team that will research what plastic quality, engine design and what materials Hanseong's future cars will be built with. They have an unlimited budget for hiring foreign experts in these fields. As of now, Hanseong has secured an employment contract with renowned British car designer Harry Richard, who'll be penning Hanseong's future cars. Within the next few years Hanseong will enter the exclusive SUV market with a new, completely self-developed car that is to be released by Q4 2011. A small hatchback to fight the Accent, Corolla and Rio is also in the making, and the totally renewed line-up should secure Hanseong a strong position in the South Korean automobile market, while expanding to other markets isn't unlikely.

Hanseong is currently looking for car companies to share knowhow and technology with, which we believe would be beneficial for all involved.
