Submission:
All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 61 Submission ) to (Vaxen):

  • Please submit your time in the following format on a single line:
    [Division#]---M'SS.XXX---GTP_Tag
    (Example-) [division 2]---1'44.678---GTP_EDK
  • You can submit only once
  • Please include in your submission PM your division, GTP_Tag and final lap time
  • The deadline is Monday January 4th 11:59 pm GMT
  • If you are unsure of the deadline try this site

Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.
Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck and Happy New Year!!
OLR Admin Team:gtpflag:

I ran a quick lap but i found it really hard to get the car round the corners without it understeering of the track.

Splits:

23.032
58.661

Hmmm, I'm still mightily slow with the wheel (slower than normal even!!) but this looks like quite a friendly combo to get used to it and not embarass myself completely! I'll have a go and see how I compare, then I'll decide whether to submit

Looks good Kevin,

I will be home from holiday in Italy on Friday,so will for sure have a go at this combo over the weekend!!

spy.

First short session... feels strange this car after the 370Z....
A load and a half to come off still hopefully.

T1: 22.819
T2: 58.133

Looks fun! I'll have a run at it tonight, got to go to work...I actually saw a white R8 on the way back home yesterday :D

First session done, giving these splits:

T1 22.899
T2 58.407

MadMax

T1 22.738
T2 58.428

Nice and easy to drive combo. Only problems I have is getting the right line through the long right hairpin, and of course, getting a consistent lap!

Question: does the split-fetcher need a new post to register new splits or is edititing and old post sufficient?
Thanks for feedback!
This new leaderboard is really really nice! 👍 Respect for the creators!

Update:

T1: 22.815
T2: 57.885

Heiko, it's perfectly ok to edit your splits posted like you're used to. Best thing is to use strike-throughs to make sure WRSFetchBot handles the edited splits well.

A small request from my side is to please make all remarks or put all questions about the WRS Leaderboard in its own thread here.

Pffft, don't know about the very last corner. Usually I start drifting (slippering) half way till just before hitting the curves again.
Someone a 'plan of attack'?

I use quite a wide entrance, the straight is quite wide, so you can go through it quite quickly. Don't go too wide, as there isn't much grip out very wide.

The last corner is a make or break corner. Don't attack it to much or you will find yourself sliding to the outside. I keep it far right then bring it in allowing me to get on the gas early and avoid the runoff area. Use 3rd gear 👍

Some new splits:

T1: 22.673
T2: 57.660

Your format is perfect.

The system should recognize this, but i've seen a bug with editing before.... i'll look into this.

I was wrong, apparently WLB does not handle edited splits well. I'll confer with Marijn about the required format for correctly handling edited splits.

For now I made a manual update of your edited splits.

Problem should be fixed now.

(The system sometimes didn't import edited posts because it thought it already existed)
