Italicized model years are not official. In the cases of the LP560 and Evo X (both reportedly 2006), they were just obviously wrong and needed to be changed.

Not wanting to be a miserable guy here, but, what is the actual point of a car wishlist?

As well as this, the previous 2 NFS games have been dissapointing, Most Wanted was fantastic however, as was underground.

This game is not returning to its roots. To do that, it'd have to drop any form of tuning, allow for folks to just enjoy racing supercars and sports cars, and bring back the interior view along with the police.

But EA isn't that cool, so I'm doubting it.

I agree, it will never happen, they need a Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 remake to go back to its roots. I lost interest after Most Wanted and it will be very unlikely that I buy another NFS game.

I bet they'll recycle the cars from ProStreet for this new NFS. The Supra has been in every NFS since U, so thats obviously going to be in the next one. The RX-7 too.

NFS4 had a form of car tuning. But you had no control over it. It was a case of buying a stage 1 upgrade, all your stats increased, and your car sprouted a little spoiler. Stage 2, it has a nicer bodykit and more stats. Stage 3 it ended up with racing stripes. Nothing on the level of Underground though.

What they need is a nice combo of cars that not only look good, but drive good... I find in a lot of games there's one or two cars that you just ignore. Recycle them, by all means, but cars that we actually like.

You know what, I'm actually downloading NFS HP2 on my pc right now and when it is finished, I'm gonna play it! :D I had the cd before, but the cd got heavily scratched and I lost the cd. :guilty: It was really what NFS was all about back then......

and the Skyline GT-R R34, and the 350Z as well as few others. ;) But yeah, the car list for NFS has always been disappointing and I don't expect much from the next game as well. They might as well just include some sort of car download pack like what they did with ProStreet. Also, I really wish NFS would stop following the car trend and just stick to what they do best. The car physics just simply failed ever since Most Wanted came out and ProStreet was probably one of the worse car handling physics in the entire NFS series!

I mean, somebody has to put Distinctive Software and Black Box Games (now EA Canada) out of their misery. Anyone please buy them out and let them have their creative freedom again. Would love to see something like the old NFS coming back...... :D

Yeah its the business! I have it on PS2 and I still havent finished it, it still keeps me entertained though and I do really want to complete all the challenges and get all the bonus cars with the unique NFS edition paint schemes.

That game had everything! Ferrari, Porsche and Lambo... all with damage and police and loads of tracks... plus tons of other stuff.

Do NOT want tuners at all.

Take us back to the series' routes EA.

Give us supercars, with decent handling and great music, not ****ty Focuses with luminescent paintjobs.

Just for fun, to pass the time until the actual car list is announced.

Yeah, I myself am still unsure whether or not I'd really want tuners and muscle cars in the game. In one hand, including them wouldn't truly mean a return to the series' roots as an exotic racer, but in the other, tuners and muscles are still fun to race imo.

EDIT: Okay, just to end the anti-tuner argument now, I'll take most of them and the muscle cars off the list. If anyone needs justification for my keeping that Lancer in, here it is:

I didn't say the game didn't have to include any muscle or tuners. Both can be classified as sports cars. The original NFS even had 3 Japanese cars to my knowledge.

Based on what I've seen, NFS fans seem to be hardcore followers of either HP2/MW or U2, and the 'old school' fans far outnumber the tuners on this site, so I figured I would just remove the tuner cars now before the objections get out of hand. I agree, some tuners can be considered real sports cars, such as the Supra and Skyline GT-R, but most of the others are just too slow without tuning.

So onto the point, are there any cars you guys desperately want to see in the next game?

A Ferrari, McLaren F1, and a Mercedes Benz CLK-GTR. Those cars are almost what "Need For Speed" are made of and why didn't they include them are anyones guess. But seriously, I wish NFS had more exotics than before, doesn't matter if they are customizable or not, even include them with the tuner/muscle cars in the game for added spice. If NFS went back to the HP2 route, I'll gladly buy their game and play them again and again. I mean racing supercars against cops in exotic locations was just great fun! :D *sigh* Just give me any old NFS game and I'll be happy. :)

and the Skyline GT-R R34, and the 350Z as well as few others. ;)

Neither were in NFS: Most Wanted. :P

Actually thinking about it, the 2 cars I mentioned (Supra and RX-7) are the only ones to have been in every NFS since Underground. :dopey:

Oops, my bad. :indiff:

E30 M3 and that 190Evoluzione Benz thingy. Dodge Demon. Giugario Mustang. Smart ForTwo. Ford Econoline with the ability to pick up more than 3 other gang members to shoot at cop... oh wait... that's GTA for PSP... Umm, let's see.. Nissan Cube. Tesla Roadster. Citroen SM. Citroen DS. Lamborghini Countach.

Are you being serious about some of those? The ForTwo, for instance, takes about 13 seconds to reach 60mph, IIRC, and I don't think it goes all that much faster.

Maybe this?

Yes, I'm serious. Also, the original Miata, Cappuccino, Beat, a few Chinese cars, and the Mitsuoka Topless Sexy Orochi Concept or whatever it was.

This is "Need For Speed" people, not some GT rip off. ;) The name of the game is about having fast cars, so any that you just listed are not in that category. Another suggestion from me is to include the Caparo T1 and the car which was similar to it (can't remember the name, but it was mentioned here in this forum :dunce:) as well as the Koenigsegg CCXR and the Bugatti Veyron. :D

Aww...

But I wanna rice a Geely!

And the Mitsuoka is fast... the Miata, Cappuccino, and Beat probably can be made to be.

And you're thinking of the Hulme F1.

Aaah, it has a name now?

Crown Vicky P71 and Caprice 9C1... fits with the 'undercover' theme. I want the ability to choose between being an undercover cop posing as a street racer or an illicit street racer. Awesome... and make it for PSP... without dumbing it down too much... please.

I find some of the cars EA include in the Need For Speed games to be a bizzare inclusion to say the least. For example, those of you who have played most wanted will know that you start in a BMW E46 M3 GTR, which is a racing car. Now what I find absouloutly pathetic is that this car is not road legal in real life, by which I mean you can not buy it, while EA still insist they are trying to make their games as realistic as possible. I mean come on, in real life you would not be able to get one of these things unless it was an award to you from BMW for saving the companys chairman from being eating by a kitten, and that is never likely to happen, since kittens are only about, er, the size of a, um... you get my point. But thing is, there is a street legal version of the race car, which is called the BMW E46 M3 GTR Street Version. WOW, are you not suprised. Anyway, so EA could have included this, which you can, or should I say you could use to buy it in reality, since it is not in production anymore. But instead, EA had to continue their complex string of adding plain realistic choices of cars into their NFS games! {For any idiots at EA who couldn't tell allready I was being sarcastic about the last bit}

Stupid game I bet, it's just gonna be like Carbon and PS; a huge let down. Each time EA make a new game they'll say "OH YEAH IT'S LIKE...GONNA RETURN TO IT'S ROOTS". Ofcourse it never happens, they're basically admitting themselves that it's a rubbish game. Unless I see a new NFS:HP2, or even a new MW I will not be happy with EA, and will never reccomend any of their games to anybody. The problem is that people who buy these games now will probably have no clue about cars.
