One of EA's men also just confirmed the Veyron would be returning.

On the back of the PS2 & PSP versions, a Ford GT & 5.0 Gallardo can be seen as well.

like Chevy 81-84 Citation X-11
-80-90 Ford Mustang
-80-90 Dodge charger Daytona

2 out of 3 of these cars were successful when they first came out but because of fast production problems they were put down a lot by the public
but now people are gradually starting to consider them as collectors and not as piece of crap cars.

these cars don't have lots of power but to the average guy who dosen't have lots of money but wants something sporty and fun.

I like the old fashing way of playing games. Plug it up to the tube, then play. I hate the psp life. But thats because i don't have one.:indiff:

Random... but that's why I'm not into PC gaming. No need to worry about how much hard drive space you have left, or how much the latest graphics card or RAM, etc costs when playing consoles. Just one expensive upgrade every 5 years or so, not several frequent ones. PSPs are cool though. I'd just end up using it more as an MP3 player than anything else. There aren't a whole lot of truly worth-while portable games, especially when some of the better ones are ported to the PS2.

*EDIT*

New cops & robbers video confirms four more cars:

Also, the Tri-City Lot has been updated (not w/new cars yet) to change the mis-labled Gallardo LP560 pic from a "2006 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640" to a "2006 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560". The model year is still obviously wrong, but by not including the "-4" at the end of "LP560", I'm hoping this means we get the upcoming RWD model.

= = = = =

*EDIT 2*

The Lot has been updated:
- '70 Plymouth Barracuda
- '06 Porsche 911 GT3 RS
- '06 Volkswagen [Golf] R32 [Mk V]
- '06 Mazdaspeed 3
- '96 Ford Escort Cosworth
- '08 Mercedes CLS 63

The Gazette had this to say today:

EA
For the past weeks, the guys over at the Tri-City Car Lot have been receiving a batch of new cars every week. We have just received word from them that starting soon, they will be unveiling a new car every single day! In addition to the screen shots, each car will have a short video to show you just what kind of power it has.

= = = = =

*EDIT 3*

McLaren F1 confirmed (source):

GameSpot
We tried two events in this updated build of the game: a standard highway battle that we've seen several times before and a much more interesting delivery challenge, driving one of the hottest cars in the game, the McLaren F1. Apart from the fun of trying to come to grips with the McLaren's ludicrous amount of power, the mission--which required us to try to get the car from one side of Tri-City to the other--was made all the more intense by the absolutely insane police presence.

As well as the Lotus Elise

Reading all of your posts was slightly depressing. While I agree that hot pursuit 2 was a great game I am/was FAR more fond of Most Wanted. Now you all also noted Most Wanted's greatness BUT the majority chose HP2 over it. I think Most wanted was one of the best games EVER. not just NFS games but games period. Carbon was a softer version of the game which made it worse and Pro Street wasnt even need for speed, It was forza for kids.

I personally can not wait for this game this is what I have been waiting for since I heard about carbon. Take most wanted and make it more vicious and give me more cars. I will find time to play that game til I die!

My longest pursuit in MW was 2 hours, and it never became a chore. It was something that I enjoyed all 2 hours of lol.

Also I'm hoping for the new Camaro. A Ferrari California and I'd love to see a nissan 300zx(z32) because I drive one myself.

Ferrari will most likely never see another NFS game unless it really does go back to what it used to be. I think there's a good chance though you'll see the new Camaro (but in Concept form), and a decent chance at seeing the 300ZX.

EA should bring in a 90-91 eagle talon tsi turbo awd

EA
This week we've received a nice shipment of high end exotics along with a classic tuner. Next week, make sure to check back as we roll out one new car a day! I hear we've got a certain car coming that you don't want to miss, its BUtiful!

Bugatti Veyron... but that hippo's far from pretty.

The Gazette hints at the mystery car's identity:

EA
Need for Speed has teamed up with a classic muscle automaker to design a special Need for Speed version of their V6 monster. For the first time, Need for Speed enthusiasts can take their passion and display it proudly on their real life vehicle. Unfortunately The Tri-City Gazette cannot reveal the specific car just yet, but details should be emerging very soon. Here are a few details that we have learned which may give the gear heads a few hints. This version of the iconic muscle car was designed by a famous racing team which first dominated back in the mid-60s. With its deep draw hood and 20” anthracite wheels, you’re sure to get noticed while cruising down the street. With its great power-to-weight ratio and superior handling, the car is perfect for anything from drifting or lapping the road course.

The special Need for Speed version first made its debut two weeks ago at the automaker’s BullRun in Texas. One of these special Need for Speed vehicles will be auctioned off for one lucky winner, but those who can’t bid can head to the automaker’s customization center and request the special Need for Speed package. Be sure to stay tuned as more details of the first Need for Speed designed vehicle emerge.

I found it: Shelby's Terlingua Racing Team V-6 Mustang... but a "special version" of course.

Motor Trend
A little known story among fans of all things Ford Mustang is that of famed Ford racer Carroll Shelby and his Terlingua Racing Team. Next month, Shelby Automobiles plans to celebrate Carroll's racing lineage with its first annual Shelby "Bullrun" Challenge set deep in the heart of Texas.

For those not in the know, Shelby's tale first unfolds during the 1960's in the west Texas town of Terlingua when a group of race-winning gear heads were approached Ford to build Mustang racers. The group consisting of Carroll Shelby, Bill Neale, Dave Witts, Tom Tierney and David E. Davis, Jr., happily obliged and ended up creating the now-classic Shelby GT350 and mighty GT500 Mustangs.

Distinguishing the wild bunch -- largely known for their crazy parties and fast paced lifestyles in between races -- was a "Gawdawful" yellow and black logo penned by co-founder Bill Neale. At the center of the badge was a rabbit with one paw raised into the air. With the bunny leading the charge on each team member's hood, the Terlingua's wreaked havoc on the Trans Am Series and quickly became notorious both in paddocks and on the streets.

After multiple wins and scores of bespoke Shelby GT builds, the team seemingly was all but forgotten by the racing world until last year when Shelby rolled out its Terlingua Racing Team V-6 Mustang. According to Shelby officials, the main focus in building the car was to create an affordable, genuine Shelby Mustang capable of competing in all sorts of racing situations with ample power and handling prowess. From drifting and drag racing, to circuit and autocross racing, the Terlingua Racing Team Shelby Mustang aims to have everything covered.

In celebration of the team's past successes and future growth, Shelby Automobiles is hosting the Texas-style Shelby "Bullrun" Challenge at Terlingua this September 25 to 28. For three days, anyone that comes to the festivities in a Shelby vehicle (Mustang, Cobra, etc.), factory Mustang, or Ford GT will be able to participate in the variety of planned drives and events.

"We created the Shelby Terlingua Racing Team so our small group of rebels could have some real fun," stated Carroll Shelby in a press release. "Now, I'm inviting a new generation to return with me for a weekend they'll always remember."

Organizers have mapped out a 350 mile rally run, a 12 mile time trial course, airstrip track and half mile dragstrip for enthusiast wanting to burn a little rubber over the weekend. Other fun to be had at the "Bullrun" includes the mandatory car show, hole-in-one golf tournament, Texas "shootout", chili cook-off contest and autograph session with Carroll Shelby.

If you happen to be in West Texas and also drive a Ford Mustang, we suggest you take a ride over to Terlingua and have some fun with some of the industries most iconic American racers.

Posted way back on September 30th, there's also this video, which does mention the game car:

2 more cars to add to any list up there, the 2008 Ford Falcon G-series and the 2008 Holden Commodore VE, those 2 cars would make an absolutely awesome game in themselves

just in case make sure this message gets to all car requests for need for speed undercover: i say the 1994 ford thunderbird lx, 1964 ford gt-40 prototype (to honor the original fordgt), fordgt 1000 tt

I completely forgot about the NFS car lot the last couple of days... they've started updating it daily. The '06 Elise and '08 911 GT2 are up now, and another is still scheduled for release today. And fortunately the stats for the next four cars to be released are given, despite the missing images. Today's car is the Bugatti Veyron (4WD/turbo/1001hp/253mph couldn't be anything else). The next three cars, if you'd like to try and guess yourself (the Veyron is priced at $375,000, for comparison sake):

$115,000, RWD, 385HP, 480 lbs/tq, Top Speed: 125mph

$81,500, RWD, 425HP, 420 lbs/tq, Top Speed: 155mph

$169,500, Supercharged, RWD, 500HP, 475 lbs/tq, Top Speed: 150mph

I want both the Honda Integra DC2 and DC5 to be in there.., I haven't got a chance to use those cars in Prostreet, since I'm playing on the PS2.., why are they using different lineups on every platform (PS2, PS3, XBox 360, PC) ? I mean, why not just use 1 (one) finalized lienup to make it available to all platforms?? why are they doing this?? 👎👎

@ gimme_da_keys - those are nice Holdens BTW 👍

*edit: Also the Civic EK9.., I want the Type R versions.., :D

Those are probably the only two cars that could pull off a video game all by themselves! Nice choices, although I prefer the look of the XR Falcons. That new G6E Turbo, while still very nice, looks too much like the British Mondeo. The '08 FPVs are pretty gnarly too.

*EDIT* - the Veyron eventually did show up last night, and now the VW Scirocco has been sighted:

*EDIT* - EA still haven't released the next car (it's being "held up in customs"), but its horsepower and torque stats match up directly with the '09 Challenger SRT8. As for the next car, it's got the hp and tq stats of the C6 Z06, but that car isn't supercharged. The only other car I can think of that would fit here is the standard Shelby GT500, if EA were to go off the reported (i.e. false) power ratings, in which case torque would still be a bit off - not to mention it contradicts the GT500 spotted with KR wheels.

I would definitely like to see the Mercedes-Benz CLR-GTR that was made famous for its aerodynamic loss to cause the crashes in the '99 LeMans and the CLK-GTR, previously shown in Hot Pursuit 2 as a cop car I believe. I love racing the CLK in Gran Turismo 4 and is unique in its own way, even though I have yet to see a game with the CLR.

It was the CLR that flipped, the CLK-GTR wasn't in GT4 either, the car in GT4 was called the CLK-GTR but it was actually the CLK-LM, slight error in naming.
