Did you want to check out this game after this post?

I tried, but after building, testing, and exploding my plane, it wouldn't let me look at any of the ships. I took that as a sign bugs were popping up and disconnected. I wish I could import some of my own designs.

I can see the screenshot you saved. Try putting something in to orbit and I'll check it later.

I picked up KSP last night (£9.60 from GMG) but won't be able to play for at least a day, maybe more, hopefully I'll be able to join you for some multiplayer... Stuff... Soon. I have no idea what the aim is or anything though.

Don't worry. You'll only play this game 23 hours a day, trying to figure every little thing and ''Just a little further before I stop'' will also frequently occur. (Don't worry, you won't ruin your life with it. :P)

I don't really play with mods anymore, so no. And even then, my connection cuts out randomly throughout the day, so being on there might not even last for very long.

Oh, I've heard of this, it's a shame my PC can't keep up with the newest releases well... :/ Never did get an upgrade, hoping to do it soon.

In 0.23 they did do some optimizations. I don't know how much they helped, but they are said to help with atleast 20 FPS when you have +500 parts I think.

I have spent the past six hours after purchasing the game, attempting to land on the moon...

I got the Kerbal out real quick to plant a flag, walked him over to get back in the ship, and jumped so hard, the damned thing tipped over. Tried to get it back upright, but everything blew up, except the capsule..
SO THEN.... I've spent the last two hours sending the same ship but with another Kerbal capsule (don't remember the name) and get within 3 walking minutes, except I was going 200+m/s when landing...

so. frustrating. :banghead:

:D sounds like fun. :D It took me an hour to get into orbit (demo parts) the first time. and I was able to land on the moon with the demo also... :D after 35 tries.... (Kerpollo XXVII was so close...).

WOOO HOOOO WE'RE IN BETA!!!!!!!!! BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!! after GT ofcourse. maybe. idk. being a rocket scientist... erm... bomb specialist is very fun. :) and if there is a bridge, you must fly under it, no matter how big or small.

This is the only successful landing I've had in KSP lately. That's the roof of the VAB, by the way.

Any interest in me firing up the server again? We can attempt some rendezvous in orbit!!

I'm not too good with rendezvous in the game, I mostly let me hen do it, but nonetheless it is still fun. Last night I got an Apollo mod and I'm attempting to go to the moon, pick up a Kerbal I left behind (crashed it) and return.

I'm not too good with making it to orbit!!

Still, it's fun sharing airspace with others.

Ahh, youtube was my friend during the demo to see what I could do, and then I looked up what you can do for the full game, which is what made me buy it.

I plan on eventually turning all the planets into the RSS, but I don't want the seize to increase and have kerbin physics, or flip flop... I'm not sure how to do that yet so I'll stick to youtube..

That craft doesn't look very stable.... Look what I made last week. :D It was created .25 and not .90 tho but it should still work well. :)

Actually it's very stable, it just doesn't rotate well. At all. It's a quadcopter design without independent control over the 'copters' (which are now rockets, making matters much worse!) so it was never going to work all that well, but if I keep it flat-ish it's actually not so bad, it's just really slow - tilt more to go faster, but then tilting back the other way to slow down takes too long so crashes happen. I suppose I should probably try adding RCS and reaction wheels or something.

Any interest in me firing up the server again?

Yeah, but a) I can never be sure when I'll be online, b) I'm prone to dropping games with little to no notice at all and c) I've never played online, how does that work? Do we share a launch pad or something?

I think it's just the airspace and space that we share. Not sure what happens with the launchpad.

We could always do a test.

I've forgotten everything I knew. Not that that was much, but I was at least able to orbit Mun/land on Minmus and come back again... Now I use most of my fuel just getting into a low orbit around Kerbin. Does anyone have any up to date-ish tutorials I could take a look at?

Also yeah, let's test multiplayer... How?

Theres a mod; but its out of date.

Never heard of this game before reading about it here. Downloaded the demo and made some attempts to go in to space, never made it. But it were 3 great hours :D

Thinking of getting the full beta :P

Do it! :D Have you used SAS? SAS helps a lot. :)

Well worth it.

I started today at noon trying to get the Saturn V up into orbit and then to the moon for the recovery mission, but I've been delayed by a few things, especially trying to figure out why the LEM keeps exploding into pieces. After 10 trials lasting two hours I got it figured out but I had to do some jobs around the house...

Maybe at 9 tonight I'll be able to finally make it.

I can get to orbit and land; or rendevous and dock; on any body I want. :) Just don't ask for a return mission. :)

Glad to see that no one dislikes KSP! :) Yet.

Is it just me or is Jeb always the main man that goes on my manned missions? Like, for example, when I want to kill launch Bob or Bill, Jeb usually shows up in the pod...

Yes! After reading the (funny) description I have used it. Then I added more fuel thingies and engines but it become awful unstable. I'll try more when I get home.. After I have bought it :D :D

Just sat back down to attempt to go to the moon.... Aaaaaaand I realize I only have one mechjeb case on the LEM and not the ACM.. so that made me quite mad, and have to restart the mission..

It is addicting this, always trying to get it right but always wrong..

EDIT:

EXTREMELY FURIOUS NOW!!!

I got all the way to the moon, figured out why the LEM was detaching weird (there's a big red button I have to push to get it to disconnect.. even says LEM on it too).
Anyways, get all the way to the moon, land no more than 5m away from the original attempt to land on the moon, get the Kerbin in the LEM, and click rendezvous to ACM while in the map mode.

All of a sudden, Ka-Booom.. How could I be so stupid and not get the LEM at least 10,000m off of the mun and then get into orbit, AND THEN rendezvous...

SO THEN, it was all scrapped by that point and I just wanted to get the ACM back to Kerbin. So I make my own maneuver thinking nothing will go wrong this time and I get the lines to go around Kerbin. I'm watching the map, it's taking a while with the weak engine it has... and then I notice my altitude from the mun is shrinking. FAST.... Change back to the free camera and I'm on a crash course to the moon. Did the maneuver say anything about that? Nope...:banghead:

This game can piss me off so much, that it makes me want to re-attempt it again. and again. and again.....

I mean, Apollo 13 had less bad luck than I have, and still made it to Earth. Alive.

The MK16 description is the best. :D the rockomax adapters are funny too. :D but the...

MK16 parachute:
"The Mk16 Parachute might be considered by some to be little more than a random stitching together of the surplus parts it is, in fact, made from. But the fact remains that the Mk16 has been widely accepted as a generally better alternative to being in freefall."

XD bet you can't find a better one. :D
