There are various levels of "semi-premiumness". Some cars appear to only have more prominent (3D) seams between body panels, others appear to have been reworked quite a bit (these ones have very transparent windows, although their cockpit is still black). I'm not sure if I want to list them all now, it really would take a lot of time.

That's the day I am waiting for. That's why I am worried about porting GT6 to the PS4. That won't go over well. Adding polys to a PS2 title isn't going to cut it. Technically they need to be completely redone for the PS4. If that means dropping all the cars that aren't originally high poly, I am fine with that. From here on out, all cars should be premium status and high poly. The consoles are only getting better so the games themselves should as well.

Most of the upgraded Standard cars in the list I posted (which included the Mitsubishi Colt in the image above) have about that amount of improvement. Some more (RUF cars seem to be among the best ones), some less (all FD-body Mazda RX-7).

Seems like it's the lighting that makes all the difference. The car is largely the same other than some dodgy textures.

Most standard cars haven't been massively improved, but you can see that the Colt above has better polygonal detail than the GT5 version, in addition to better textures and no more baked shading.

Definitely cleaned up and I like that it has wipers now. It will stick out when on the same grid as the premiums but the improvements are welcome. Thanks for posting this! If someone would kindly do the same thing with one of the older Subaru rally cars, I would greatly appreciate it.

Nice! Not asking you for comparison shots but could you kindly tell me if you can flash it's front lights and if the reverse lights work? It's something that no one could answer me so far :(
