The Devil's Playground. - tuning by Demon. NEW! Murcielago, & FORD GT '05 (600pp)!!

I have a wing on mine, again, I'm not at my ps3 right now, but it's either set to 5 or 10.

As a general rule of thumb, since gt5, anything that has under 600hp, I will never max the aero on.
I start tuning without the aero, and if I find I'm beginning to enter 'rediculous' ranges on some settings to make it handle better, THEN I add the wing.
Then I lower the aero all the way to lowest, and begin all over again.
If I still find I'm sacrificing too much in other areas, like turn in/decel, then I'll bump it up to 10ish.
And start over yet again, lol.

This is of coarse for road cars, anything like gt300, has it's own set of rules.
Nothing I personally do is set in stone for everyone, it's just a set of make-believe rules that work the way I personally drive.
I don't want to sacrifice too much speed if it's not needed. But better handling will win you more races then just plain top speed any day of the week. "Like The Wind" races are not included in that, lol.

I'll post that in the morning bro

Thanks a lot man. Looking forward to it. Question though. If I add a wing to the car how much downforce should be added. It seems to handle horrible with the wing
Um, I made an error, lol.

I said I had set ups for the '07 and used it as a grind car, but now that I'm at my ps3 I realized I spoke too soon.
The grind car I was thinking of, is the BMW M coupe '08.
The 07 I just bought a second ago.
And right off the bat I see why I didn't already have it, lol. That car is heavy. With all the negative mods, it still weighs in at 1,325kg. If you wanted a full power set up, 582pp, I could see what I can do. But I'll tell you beforehand, for the PP, your better off with a car with better ratios to begin with, . . . Like the '08 version for instance, lol.

Let me know what you want, I'll see what I can do.

Tell you what, I'll just post the tune I made for the '07

I like it, it's a decent ride. But I will honestly say again to you, for the PP, I'd go with the '08 coupe.
Here's the 07;

Thanks for the tunes! How's the 70 Charger coming? I'm especially looking for to that one since my dad actually owns one.

"hiperviper, post: 9255984, member: 222259"]Thanks for the tunes! How's the 70 Charger coming? I'm especially looking for to that one since my dad actually owns one.
I actually put it on hold awhile back as I had some ideas I had to get out and the FITT racing tunes etc.

I promise I will eventually get back to it, I am however still in the middle of 3 projects. Hopefully I will have those 3 nailed down soon.

Edit;
When I finnish the classic vette I'm working on, ill go back and finnish the charger.

I will revisit the red devil for you.
I haven't adjusted any of my tunes that wasn't MR since the update, thinking nothing major really happened to anything non-MR. If you could tell me the symptom you see, I could check it out, and even 'personalize' the tune for you if you like.
Let me know.

If you want this for a 650pp race, go back to engine stage 1, keep the turbo on 3, and set the power meter to 84.2%. No need to change anything else.

I only did this car, because I used it a lot in gt5. I've always like this car, shape, speed, sound, it's a fun drive.
In gt6, I've found this is easy wins for all the 500pp races I tried it on so far.
HIGHLY reccomend this car, smooth feel and great driving response. A true 500pp performance car^^

Lotus Motor Sport Elise '99.

What a great little car. I just tried your tune and i am very satisfied. The car was fun to drive. Predictable at corner entry and exit. No surprises. I can see where this will be a sleeper when used in some online rooms. Thank you.

Now i have a problem, what tune do i try next ? What a great problem to have.

Have you tried my Ruf3400s tune yet?

Fairly inexpensive car, absolutely great handling for those 500pp normal car races. Or the Z4 BMW, that car is a flying brick house, lol. Good luck man, and thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

As a matter of fact i just finished with the RUF 3400S. I also liked this car in GT5. The first thing i noticed was some understeer in high speed corners. Slower turns i was able to correctly enter and exit with no problems at all. I use Deep Forest as a tune track and the two left handers before the straight i was fighting to keep on the track. i tried many times just could not get the entry correct. I then played a little with ride hieght and LSD. Awww, the sweet handling returned, just as i remembered in gt5. This will go into my favorites at 500pp. Thanks again.

The Devil's Playground, background info.

The famous Pikes Peak highway, and mountainous racing layouts, is in Colorado. You will notice the "Pikes Peak" versions of some racing cars in game.
Interestingly enough, theres an area of Pikes Peak called "the devils playground". Its an area prone to freak lightning strikes. below is a picture of the sign there;

pikes_peak_devils_playground_06_10_2006.jpg

All of Colorado is prone to freak lightning strikes lol.
I didn't want to hijack that thread. Anyway I see you're following the same route as I did in GT5 with the OPTION, so I'm assuming the GT5 tune won't work because you're past that point and the car still isn't performing like it did in GT5. I'll work on a tune also, maybe we can build at least a 550pp monster if nothing else.

See if you can run with this and change/add to it freely.
Remember, this is work in progress, not anywhere close to a final tune.
Height 64/80 springs 17.50/15.80
5/6
9/6
5/7
0.5/0.0
-.2/-.1
Brakes at 7/9
Current LSD (although I'm still playing with this a lot, depending on other changes I do) 6/7/35
Yeah, that DID say 6/7/35 lol.
I do have it 50/50 weight ratio right now. I didn't want to add ballast, but again, it's work in progress, and stock ratio was horrendous, lol.

Change anything you want, change it all, lol, I got this pretty decent for 500pp, but the second I add power to it, right out the window it goes, lol.

Oh, and XS, I posted that about the Pikes Peak, because technically it was YOU who named this garage, not me, lol. If you remember right, that's what you 'thought' I said, and when I heard it, it sounded cool so I went with it. The fact that it actually had anything to do with racing at all was just plain weirdness.

Yes I remember lol. Although I still think 'The Devil's Playground' is a good name for a garage in general due to what lurks inside.

Uh yeah, I'm putting the OPTION down for tonight, because I'm getting very frustrated. This is the 3rd car in a week I've worked on that has revealed a troubling trend.... No matter what I do to the car the lap times are essentially the same. I took your tune, then tested dozens of my own and tweaked and tuned and tweaked and tuned and I was ALWAYS within a second of my best time. How is that even possible? The GT5 car had a great deal of camber dialed in, which I think made it a lot faster in GT5, but I'm beginning to think tuning in general in GT6 is off. How am I getting the same lap times on the same car running wildly different tunes? And this is now the 3rd car I've encountered like that in GT6. Maybe I'm just too tired and over thinking stuff. I'll try again later, cheers.

I absolutely love this car/tune. Extremely fun to drive, can pull off some amazing high speed corner maneuvers once you get used to the handling I've got set. It does have a touch of oversteer that I put there on purpose, to mend to the higher then normal speed turning. This car will do anything you tell it to, just be aware of its power and turning ability, and take 3 or 4 laps practice before you enter a real race. That's all you will need to be one with this cars ability a. :)

Peace,

Yes, I made a tune for a complete beast, to race street races at 550pp, lol. Why? Because I could.
This thing is great using it for what it's made for, like in 'like the wind', however, this thing handles awesome at lower PP as well. Plus, you look cool when everyone shows up in a 550pp room, and they have all normal cars, and your sitting there shiny and slick looking. This car is just plain FUN to drive, nothing more needs to be said.
