I think it was somewhere between Smolensk , Velizh and Nevel. There is a dip in the road as you pass under a bridge. The impact was right at the bottom of the dip. (I wonder if maybe my trailer clipped the underside of the bridge ?) :boggled:

Yeah , it adds more detail to existing roads and towns in Poland as well as quite a few new ones. Some of the new coastal towns have ferry ports which opens up more links to Scandinavia. Like the Russia map , there are roadside police here and there and detailed rest areas with plenty of parked trucks which adds character. Also some of the railway crossings don't have lights , just a stop sign. :)
It isn't quite as polished as Promods but still a good quality addition. The authors seem to keep it patched and up to date which is good , it is also compatible with Promods and Russia v1.3.5
I would suggest making a copy of your profile before adding it though , just in case you decide its not worth it and want to roll back your game.
 
Seems there's another surprise dirt road in the Poland map somewhere , I haven't found it yet. This guy has though.

I just delivered 25t of furniture from Moscow to Sheffield in one session ! Almost 3000km. There wasn't just simulated yawning going on haha.
 
3.53 shows map, is to the north of Poznan but west of another town (I can't read the name) will be looking for it :D

For anyone curious about the Poland Rebuilding map coverage , go to 11:15 on Squirrels Sunday Night Trucking stream. He is also missing the road connecting it to Russia. I haven't watched all of it yet , so there may be a solution mentioned. Something that crossed my mind just now was the order of the maps installed , as mentioned in the read me that comes with the Russian map. This may be the cause ?? Make sure to rename your files (with the zs) so they are sorted in this order in your mods folder.

Attention Promods users. Driving through Antwerpen , I got destroyed by a spawning truck at this location: http://www.promods.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3388&p=25611&hilit=v172 hotfix#p25611

I didn't know about the v172 hotfix until I went looking for a bug.
PS: I renamed it prromods-map-v172-hotfix.scs so it is the last of the promods files in the mod folder , otherwise it doesn't work. Yes , the double r is intentional :)

Hey cool delivery point ! Yeah there are so many roadworks and construction scenes in that map. I guess that's why its called Poland rebuilding :D

The spawning truck scared the crap out of me haha. Just cruising along , then suddenly I'm stopped dead , another truck and trailer on top of mine sideways. I had no idea what happened ! 100% damage to my truck , 20% to trailer. Over €100000 damage bill :(

Yeah that makes sense, haven't found any dirt roads yet but there was one with cats-eyes which was pretty good.

Ouch, very unexpected. But you never know what the AI will do :lol:
 
This looks very interesting. This will probably be one of the first titles I get once I get a new computer.

Are there any templates for the vehicles?

Another interesting find north of Radom. Some kind of truck testing centre. Seemed like a nice place for an early morning photo of the rig :D

In all the gameplay videos I've seen so far, I've just seen Volvos and Scanias. Does it have trucks from Kamaz, Renault or Man? Just interested in the variety.

The game includes Scania, Volvo, Iveco, Daf, Renault, Mercedes (called Majestic) and MAN. There are many other manufacturers that can be added through mods.

I've just thought of a MOD that would be quite cool for us GTP'ers. A racing logistics mod! Have racing team skinned trucks and special motorsports style trailers, with the drop off locations being at race tracks that are located within the current map!

Awesome idea. I've already just downloaded the templates for the trucks themselves so I'd definitely be up for that 👍
