Unless my internet sorts itself out by Saturday I don't know if I'll be able to do this. I missed all 3 BTCC races tonight. Just couldn't hold a connection long enough to stay in the room. Never even saw a grid.

I saw you coming on and off line all evening, thought you must have had issues :(

Worst connection problems I have ever had. It was weird. I'm probably gonna forego Q anyway. I have no reason to get involved with the battle for the other positions. Well, not right from the start anyway. I'm hoping to catch a few people during the course of the race.

Well hope there is no issues Saturday :nervous:
I am thinking the same as my pace is so far off on a hot lap anyway I don't see me being far up the grid at all :(

What's hot lap times? I have done some laps and my laps times are round 8:20-8:25.

That is music to my ears  I'm about 8:14 but some are getting as low as 8:09 :nervous:

Did a 4 lap run to weigh up tyre life. From a standing grid start; 8.17, 8.08, 8.15, 8.21. Race conditions but all daytime running. No way I would manage those times at night. Could probably have eeked out a 5th lap but it would have been very slow and very hairy! Lap 4 was dodgy enough.

8.14 is very impressive with the inhuman handicap you're carrying!

My 8:14 is from a very slow tyre saving lap followed by a hot lap. My race pace seems to be about 4-5 seconds off that but will hold for 4 laps, a 5th lap is easy possible but I think will be too slow to be worth it.

Ok, seems that i wouldn't keep up with you - l'll do my pace :)

At least the weather will be all dry :) We´re having blue sky and 5°C temperature, great conditions!

I need to learn a better rain dance  could do with some rain :( but I will just hope for a good race and see where I come, I think I have something up my sleave :sly:

Lounge open guys, if you all get here early then you will get some extra qualifying time :)

Now about to switch PS3 on, will be there (connection permitting) soon. Not looking forward to this race, have a banging headache, am off the pace, but can't afford to not finish or I will loose my 2nd place! Haven't even worked out my fuel usage properly yet :(

Hm, the race yesterday wasn´t the nicest one in the series I´d say. Although we raced my beloved Nurburgring, I hadn´t that much fun due to the fact that I never was fighting anyone after lap 1 :( i was happy to finish 1st and take the 2nd place in the championship, but I somehow would have loved a race with the whole grid being close together...

Nevertheless I want to thank you all for your great effort and reliability to keep the championship going! It was a great fun season, and I would love to do another one with you guys! Great job Mikey for organising everything, looking forward to the next GT6 series :)

Yeah, big thanks to Mike for organising and running it all. And recently Caine for all the race results processing. I don't know what I'll be up to next year but I'll keep an eye on the sign up thread once GT6 launches. Quite fancy that Z4. I do like my BMWs.

Well done RS. Very fast last night. Glen too.

Yep hats off to mikey! 👍 for all the time and effort, Caine also for the trophies and records 👍 And a well done to all that seen the season through! And Rob for the effortless pace and consistency needed to secure the title!

Thanks mate. But no comparison to your consistancy, need to work on that...
I will definitely take the Z4 in the next series, finally some BMW in the game which can compete with other racecars.

You didn't see anyone because nobody had an answer for your incredible pace, very much like another German driver I know of (Sebastian Vettel)

Thanks for all the commendations from this series and an even bigger thanks to all that put the effort in to make it as successful as it was .
Numbers became a concern but enough people saw it through to the end and I am very pleased with that :D

I am about to start work on the final results now so I will have them up soon 👍

As always a big thanks to all that attended

I was going to leave this until caine had done the trophies but he is obviously busy so I will do this while I have the time :D

Congratulations to all the Ferrari drivers in their part in taking a very dominant manufacturer title.
A little helped by the lack of other cars but a lot of consistent drives and well scored races for you all.

THANKS

Big thanks to @GTP IWIN for balancing the cars, you did a great job.
Big thanks to @gtpcaine for all your help with keeping things up to date while I suffered with various technical issues.
Big thanks to all the stewards @gtpcaine @Glenalz81 @ROB 256R for a lot of help in ensuring all drivers drove to a good standard and dealing with things when they didn't.
Last but not least,
A massive thanks to all drivers that participated and helped to make the series a success, it wouldn't have been possible without you.
Big thanks to most of the drivers for such great driving making stewarding easy.

All my attention will now move to GT6 and the WGTC to start (hopefully) in February next year 👍
For those that haven't yet signed up please feel free to have a look and get your names down 👍

This was my first endurance race series and it was challenge to me, but i think it went quite well.
Big thanks from me to @GTP IWIN and @P1K3Y_M1k3Y to put cars balance. Also thanks to stewards and specially to @gtpcaine those fun award trophys.
It's been hard work but fun :)

Here is what the Awards tables look like after all 8 rounds:

1.png

And here are some stats from the series:

* To work out some averages fairly I had to give people a time for events they didn't compete in. But to be fair to those who did compete, I added 0.015 per second to lap times to the 'average' time.

I have chosen not to give any team awards due to the fact there was really only 1 full time team.

And this is how those awards have affected the standings:

So, we now come to the Platinum Award. I can't see a more fitting winner for it.

Congratulations...

Red_Leader (Rob)

Well done on a dominant win in the series. You were fast, consistent and fair. Can't ask for more.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My season was very up and down, I had good pace, but being inconsistent cost me dearly, as it has others as well. I'm a bit gutted to have lost 2nd overall to RS at the final race, especially seems in theory I could have had 4 wins bar me making mistakes. But it didn't work out that way and I guess "that's racing". I've learnt a lot by doing this series, and it's certainly been challenging. The pace at every race has been great. This was technically my first series here on GTP, and I'm relieved to have reached the end. I want to give a big thanks to Mike for hosting the series, Iwin for balancing the cars, and every entrant for showing up. Without you all this series wouldn't have been as successful and enjoying as it has. Apart from the odd incident, driving standards have been great! It's been a pleasure to race with you all and I hope to see you on track again soon. Good luck and enjoy it guys :)
