I've got a new wireless router (Netgear R6300) to hook up that should improve my wifi as well give me a lot more range.

Very pleased with my internet, between cable, phone, and Internet it isn't cheap. However it works really well and that makes me happy. Using battery back up on my racing rig, modem, and router. I maintain Internet for quite a while during power outages. We had a bit of a ice storm early this week and it sure was nice having phone and internet still.

We had an upgrade in our internet connection today, previously it topped out at 16mb/s download.

Although this is the best I've seen it, I really think these numbers will go down in very little time.

Mine's not quite that bad (82 vs 2) but it makes updating games frustrating when I'm so used to doing it in minutes at work! I can only dream of having a speed of 950 anywhere.

You do, if you compare it to the last test I posted. But my speed has gone down to normal again. (The tests before that,)

Fortunaly mine are consistent. They go no less than 4.5Mb/s and no higer than 5.1Mb/s (download) and 0.8 to 1.0Mb/s (upload).

I can only dream of having a speed of 950 anywhere.

The first time I connected my computer straight into the wall instead of the 100M switch, I was dumbfounded. Seeing speedtest jump from the ~95M I was used to from the megabit switch to ~950M with my gigabit network card was almost intoxicating.

Obviously the next issue is finding sites that can push content at that speed!

My ISP sucks ass. My IP has been messed up since April 15th about and now it shows I am in Frederick, MD? And my PPPoE Username and Password stopped working on my Xbox and PS3. -_-

Or is it the modem going bad?
