All this for the low, low price of just $100 a month (the best service we can get in our semi-rural area). Australia: the 'lucky' country...

I've got a new wireless router (Netgear R6300) to hook up that should improve my wifi as well give me a lot more range.

Very pleased with my internet, between cable, phone, and Internet it isn't cheap. However it works really well and that makes me happy. Using battery back up on my racing rig, modem, and router. I maintain Internet for quite a while during power outages. We had a bit of a ice storm early this week and it sure was nice having phone and internet still. ;)

My current DSL internet is at 5kb/s down and 30kb/s up and I have not gone over my quota.
My landline phone also has no dial tone.

Had to do a hard-reset on the modem-router (which is combined)... Speed is above the promised (60/60) still. 👍

Let's compare, being in pretty much each end of the country :P

Although this is the best I've seen it, I really think these numbers will go down in very little time.

It's rather annoying having my internet at work being 600+ times faster than home (950 vs 1.5). :irked:

Mine's not quite that bad (82 vs 2) but it makes updating games frustrating when I'm so used to doing it in minutes at work! I can only dream of having a speed of 950 anywhere.

The first time I connected my computer straight into the wall instead of the 100M switch, I was dumbfounded. Seeing speedtest jump from the ~95M I was used to from the megabit switch to ~950M with my gigabit network card was almost intoxicating.

Obviously the next issue is finding sites that can push content at that speed!

My home connection is slower than 94% of the UK

Just got a new router-modem thing, after trouble with the phone (which runs over the internet) so I thought I'd make an internet-speed-test. :P

A tad better speed and a much nicer looking box:

I want to know your exact city and everything about it, just so I can move there too.

My ISP sucks ass. My IP has been messed up since April 15th about and now it shows I am in Frederick, MD? And my PPPoE Username and Password stopped working on my Xbox and PS3. -_-

Or is it the modem going bad?
