  1. Fire Yoshi

A stock, untouched Razzo destroyed this event! :D Lots of fun though. I enjoy playing this one over and over again for money, because of the wide variety of cars you can use.

  2. Rionmoon

’66 Cobra 427 NO ABS if yer man enough to run it

’96 Corvet ‘Merca cause its LOUD AND PROUD. FULL OF HORSEPOWER AND FREEDOME

    Unlike the Euro junk

  3. FORDMUSTANG25

UGH!!! I used a Dodge Viper GTS ’99 on the first three but this Shelby is hard to beat on the SSR5! Any suggested cars to use? I’m too lazy to find one myself LOL.

    1. AuToNoMy

Amuse 380RS is a good car until you get to the annoying last track god I hate that place Grrrrrrr….

  4. Elitekilla29

I used my 86 gt 12 and dominated against the field. Got some extra money since my car was 497pp.

  5. CerberusSco

Used MAZDA RX-7 SPIRIT R TYPE A (FD) 02 tuned by Praiano’s Tunes – 500PP SPORT TIRES. Piece of cake!

  6. alainsenna

hey guysm i must say pretty shocked at some of the critisism,
the guys at pd aren’t sitting about doing nothing, there making gt6 if you remember and have been for several years,
correct me if i am wrong but i dont know of any other game that gives free dlc like gt does,
i can see some of the points regarding repetitiveness but hey its free content so enjoy i just think of someother driving games that continually throw dlc at you if your prepared to pay.
oh by the way what is srf

    1. Pit Crew

LOL Only free stuff I remember getting was a Toyota 86 (2011) a RedBull (2011) a stealth GT-R 500 and a Corvette Stingray 2014 (2013). I think I missed 1but We payed for everything else. Much of it we didn’t really care for though some of it was satisfactory. Furthermore last years gtacademy cars which some may consider DLC cars had to be earned, not to mention all you worked for, if you weren’t a serious regional or global contender, was a vehicle with a unique livery basically, and a car (8) you cant “Fully Tune”, but that’s fine, as I want to have those cars for my collection, plus I trade/gift.

In anycase whats your OP got to do with the seasonal, which seems to be going over pretty well with the majority of members, especially now that SRF is optional again.

  7. RCKakashi14

It’s a nice seasonal with lots of FR cars for you to use.

Just like the one before, I ALWAYS SMASH that SHELBY SERIES ONE off the track. I’m just mad at it, it’s like an unfair car for the race for me. Haha

I used my 500pp RX-8 for this one.

    1. DBalog

Smashing shelby, gt is not demolition derby guys. Try m3 07 with 430pp and use some skils.
      Smashing the leading car, lmmfao!

    2. JAHHAJ

If people struggle on 500PP with a good tune and using the most skills they can with a Dualshock, what makes you think that we can do it at 430PP. Also, why does it matter that we’re smashing cars, does it bother you? It’s only the A.I. so it doesn’t matter like it does in an online race.

    3. DBalog

Jahhaj, not trying to take a better racing line then the car in front is bad driving, hitting it is even worst! Why getting use 2 ram the cars on the track?
      And why not

    4. JAHHAJ

I know it’s bad driving, but it’s only the AI. It doesn’t matter because you’re not trying to have a fun race like when you are online, or on your own. We don’t care about the A.I. as there isn’t a point in caring about them on the track as they’re not real people who can ban you from racing with them. This can be solved with a safety rating like iRacing so that people don’t crash into the AI.

    5. DBalog

Jahhaj, what ever you do in life give the best of you, even trivial things like this!
Try harder every time, give your hart to it. And A.I. is no excuse to ram.

    6. JAHHAJ

DBalog, I try as hard as I can every time but to most GT players including me, AI is more than an excuse to ram.

    7. munsonface

I use the A.I. all the time. They make for better cornering, since they don’t move when you hit them. But I enjoy all the races they are still putting out. Hate that Shelby though. Smash and grab job.

  8. waddy2001

Lots of room for lower PP here. I used a 426 Hemi Dodge Charger for the first three, switched to an M3 for the last two. Someone asked why Kaz uses 5 laps, well that’s so you don’t run it a 400 PP for 12 laps and win. 5 laps offers a challenge for lower PP, something that 2 laps doesn’t. Experts might win with substantially lower PP in 5 or less but almost anyone could win with lower PP on 12 laps. The Charger is a lot of fun to drive, in case you haven’t tried it. Tune it up and turn up the speakers. The V8 sound is awesome.

    1. kekke2000

Since the harder aspec races are trial and error it would be annoying with too many laps. I still miss the Online seasonals aka GT5 Prologue online mode. Imagine these races but double laps and online. Would be sooooo epic!!!

  9. Zuel

Nice event’s to run once again but the lack of tire wear is really getting dull especially after running this year GT-A event with no tire wear. After these many years why are the events and GT-A events still ran in Arcade mode? Still making things easy. Why?

    1. Quigz125

Speaking of GT Academy, did anyone notice the little “10”s next to each tire indicator? Could that possibly be tire pressure?

    2. Pit Crew

^ Not sure Q, it could be tire wear meter also.^ Would have been nice to do GTAcademy with tire degradation vs the new handling physics.

Speaking of which, I got the GT-R GT3 up on 2 wheels sideways taking the last turn too hard and subsequently red flagging my lap. Anybody else dang near “flip” their car in GTAcademy 2013?

    3. another_jakhole

Oh, my bad fellas, I heard it from a YouTuber who said in a comment that he noticed the tire wear “tires” start to show a change of color after a couple laps. I looked back to see and I noticed it too. It definitely wasn’t me have a “placebo” moment. I really don’t get it.

    4. another_jakhole

The numbers next to the tire wear “tires” is the tire wear sensitivity feature. I heard it from a GT representative. I forgot who, but he’s been in quite a few interviews.

  10. gripmaster345

The Maserati gran turismo s is pretty good for this event no engine mods but use racing suspension 1780kg springs soft as possible stabilizers between 5 or 6 font and rear 4.390 final gear and whatever you gotta do to get it to 500pp

  11. racingchamp30

It’s hilarious. Not all people will be satisfied no matter how much PD is dedicated to keep updating GT5 with seasonal events, hey, they could decide to stop sending these Seasonals. LOL

  12. Schwarzkrieger

I drove a Maserati Gran Turismo, Aston Martin DB9, Camaro SS, Dodge Challenger SRT8, Ferrari 599 GTB respectively, all stock and premium cars, only sport medium tires.

  13. BWX

    5 laps, 5 laps, 5 laps, 5 laps, 5 laps, 5 laps, 5 laps, 5 laps…..

WTF Kaz? Why always 5 laps? How about 7 or 10 or 12!? Why not use tire wear, or one fuel stop, or ANYTHING at all different and perhaps, dare I say, creative? Interesting? Change of pace?

Why always so ordinary, same and boring. Sheesh.

    1. TomBrady

Because noobs will complain about them being too long.

I have a better idea, why not let us select the length of the race, difficulty of the AI, and give use the choice to do standing starts.

    2. CarBastard

Comply comply comply. Ya’ll fanboys are always thinking GT should do without some constructive criticsm…

    3. DYLAN777-is-not

Bwx is right. Pd is taking the easy, lazy route. They spent maybe a couple hours to put together every seasonal event past, present an future. Its not hard to give lots of variation. Its not like we’re asking for new content, its all there on the disc they just arent using it. I also wish theyd put a monthly endurance race seanal event to go along with the drifting and time trials.

  14. Dogga23

    Going for something different here
    Pontiac GTO from
    OCD smashed Rome with ease
    GT-86 conquered Trial Mountain
    BRZ-2 destroyed Kart Track
… Yes I am aware they are the same basic car. I just wanted to see if there was any difference in the game between the Toyota and the Subaru.
Have not tried Laguna yet – but gotta use a Yank Tank
Special Stage just screams Jap-Import though to me
    So that’s tomorrow’s task
    Night all !!

  15. DynamikGT

I used my Gulf colored Aston DB9. It needs an oil change, so you can imagine my surprise when the 1700kg beast steamrolled every race. Was first several laps before the end every time.

    1. another_jakhole

      He was…clearly….joking.

A tuned S2000 tuned would be right on, though. Right?

Damn it, I wish GT5 had more tuning “options”. How is an engine swap so difficult to them? It;s just numbers :D ;)

    2. CasvanRoermund9

Yeah I posted it and then realised the NSX was MR, stupid me. But anyway I’m going to tune up my s2000 and win the races.

    1. another_jakhole

Oh, that meant I hope I can use the 599 and the picture gave me the idea. For some reason, 612hp doesn’t seem like it’ll fit in the category.

    2. Both Barrels

The first car in my garage that caught my eye was the Alfa 8C. Perfect in Rome, like hot snot through a chrome nostril.

    3. another_jakhole

Alfa 8C, that’s another one I haven’t tried in a long time. Good recommendation. I’ll use it since the 599 is way out of range.

    4. Pit Crew

AJ the 599 is doable. Buy new no oil change . If you add drivetrain parts, LSD, FC transmission, and suspension but leave suspension FC default, and drop power to 390 or 400 bhp thats like 491 to 493 PP. All I touched was the transmission to suit my technique.

    5. another_jakhole

That’s what’s disappointing. I’d rather race it as is. The specs show that the 599 is under 600hp so doing an oil change (which I didn’t do) would add at least 20hp to it.

    1. TomBrady

The reason it’s a rare thing is because of how rare seeing lobbies with realistic tires is online. Obviously PD wants people to realize the realistic way to play GT5, and no road car in GT5 is realistic on anything above sports hard. If you compare real life lateral G stats, 90% of all the road cars are most realistic on comfort softs or less. Only a few supercars have tires comparable to sports hard in the real.

So instead of complaining, why don’t you make an effort to improve your driving, and get a real taste for how these cars are supposed to handle.

Plus, they have to put low grip tires on time trials because it’s better for separating people by skill level.

    2. Both Barrels

I didn’t hear anyone complain, TomBrady. The fact is, this is circuit racing. Sports tires ARE for circuit racing. Street tires are fine for TTs. The limits of a 500pp sports car shouldn’t be defined by street tires.

    3. MadmuppGT

I’ve always had issues with the tyre choices on GT seasonals, there is no way on earth supercars would leave a garage wearing comfort tyres that are found on a humble family hatchback.
I would say Sports hard is the minimum anything 500pp and up should have, the comfort tyres in GT5 are a joke, feeling more like completely bald budget tyres on a icy winters morning

    4. Pit Crew

LOL Both Barrells on my friends, and looking at his TT times in GT5 & GTAcademy/GT6 demo, he’s got Skills for sure, and pretty sure it was an observation, not a complaint.
