New Tracks

Daytona International Superspeedway

Daytona International Superspeedway is a 2.5mile circumference banked oval, home of the NASCAR Daytona 500.
Footage of this track (and most of the tracks featured below) can be found in the Gran Turismo 5: Prologue: Videos section.

London Street Circuit

The course passes through Londons famous Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus landmarks.

Tracks that have appeared in previous Gran Turismo games

Suzuka Circuit

Designed as a Honda test track in the early 1960's, Suzuka Circuit is the host of the Formula One Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix.

Gran Turismo 5: Prologue has two versions of Suzuka Circuit, one being the entire Figure 8-Esqe track (pictured above), and the other being a smaller version (pictured below) that consists of Turns 1&2, the S Curve, Gyaku Bank Curve, and Dunlop Curve as well as adding a turn that brings you back to the last curve.

High Speed Ring

High Speed Ring is a track consisting of 7 turns, followed by a long straightaway. As the name suggests, many of the turns in the track can be taken at a high speed, and it was one of the few tracks in previous Gran Turismo games (until the inclusion of Daytona International Superspeedway,) where you could run at or near full throttle for most of a lap.

Eiger Nordwand

Eiger Nordwand previously appeared in the free PSN downloadable title Gran Turismo HD. The version of this track in Gran Turismo 5: Prologue differs noticeably from the Gran Turismo HD track, which are mainly visual changes, although there are a few instances where the track has either been widened, narrowed, elongated or shortened.

Fuji Speedway

Fuji Speedway in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, is the current Japanese Grand Prix racing venue, standing in the foothills of the majestic Mount Fuji and which was acquired by Toyota Motor Corporation in 2000.

The track was designed to be as a 4 kilometres (2 1/2 mile) high-banked super-speedway, but lack of funds halted the project and only one of the bankings was ever designed. Converted to a road course, the circuit opened in December of 1965 and proved to be somewhat dangerous with the banked turn regularly resulting in major accidents. A new part of track was built to counteract the problem, and the resulting 4.359 km (2.7 mi) course proved more successful.

Gran Turismo 5: Prologue includes two versions of the track, the regular course (pictured below), and the GT course (pictured above), which removes the chicane after Dunlop Corner.
