AutoAki, I think I just about understood your attempt at English there...

Actually, I don't take GT5P online because of the rammers and the cheaters. During an actual race it spoils things for all concerned. Where time trials are the order of the day, it is just you, the car, and the track. So, you do what you need to do to get the quickest time possible. You don't have all the other idiots on track at the same time.

Sorry to break the news to you kid, but nobody stole my car. Oh well, I guess it just means I'll have to keep driving it instead of looking for one to steal myself... :o/ Doofus.

so how does the competition work? is it just fastest lap to the one signed up to the logitech challenge. and then logitech review the lisitngs in the online results page to come up with a winner?
if thats the cast then all they do is review the lap if they dont ride the wall, or all 4 wheels dont go to grass, is ok. and keep going through them till they find one. I tell you the penalty system is whack to say the least, if I cut the high speed right hander kink to the right hander in suzuka if i cut it by the smallest amount, u get 4 sec penalty, however if you go rallying go over grass, miss the kink, stay all way to the right, miss the right after as well, rejoin circuit just before the left hand hairpin you get no penalty and its at least .700 of a sec faster. its frustrating to say the least when you push real hard, cut it al ittle get the penalty then while you counting your penalty cars are airbore over the turns gaining time.
what the penalty system needs to take into its calculations that when the infarction happend was he braking, coasting, full throttle. so if u were wall riding you would be hitting the wall at full speed and also full throtle. none some throttle, this can tell alot on how he was driving, also to check the cars attitude before going off the track etc. the computer could see it under oversteer, did he apply steering input to go to this place, was it a result of sliding. if the penalty system could take this all into account it would be much more reliable. and it doesnt have to do it on the fly, it will do it once you cross the line. then add penalty to your time

Nomino... again, you really are blind to see your own words.

I'm very sure youre one of those rammers what people hate most in online-racing. What you say now second time, just gives impression that everything is ok, if it's possible to do. No matter of way how you do it, if it's possible... so do you see it's right to shortcut bus-stop in Daytona, brakecheck opponent behind, or sidesweep guy to grass in corner!? All those things are possible to do without penalty, but even that, it is cheating. People here are committed to NOT do those, because we want to drive this game like 'Real Driving Simulator' should be driven.

I hope someone steals your car (tricycle) tonight. It's possible to do without penalty, and same for all... you can then steal some others, cause that's just how life is, and it's same for all?

Good decision - the game is the same for all, so what are people crying about? Get over it and be happy with your own skills instead of feeling the need to boast and show off.

At the end of the day, it's about racing smarter, not harder. Some people work their assess off to earn £1,000. Some people work very little for that same £1,000. Is that cheating? No.

I might also like to add: To Chris and everyone else who did this:

Thanks for cheating! (I mean it!)

As for me, a fan of GT, I'm glad this happened.

I'm glad because it draws attention to GT's flaws. Maybe after this they'll give stronger consideration to making a more realistic experience by showing what the real consequences of grinding a wall in real life are, hopefully before GT5 is released.

"The two names in life that have always bothered me is being call stupid, or a quitter. I am not a quitter, and in the exampel of a pitcher sandpapering a ball, I would not expect a Major League Baseball team to walk off the field if they found an embry board in opposing pitchers back pocket. They would not want to be called quitters."

You're right, they wouldn't walk off the field. They would demand the pitcher be punished. Even if he was thrown out of the game, it would probably still be played under protest. And your argument doesn't even make sense. With this competition, it's all about interpretation, and you're entitled to yours. However, if you don't expect the victims, for lack of a better term, of cheating to take offense to a blatant disregard for the written rules, such as those in your baseball example, then you have a lot to learn about honor and consequences.
