Microsoft’s Excited About “Gran Tourismo 5”, Too

msngt5

Here’s a little something to make you smile while we wait for Sony’s press conference at GamesCom on Tuesday…  Gran Turismo 5 got some unexpected promotion on one of the most-visited websites in the world.  The problem, of course, is that website was MSN.com – wholly owned and operated by Microsoft.  The MSN editors are apparently unaware of the heated rivalry between their parent company’s own Forza Motorsport series and GT, and to make matters worse, they misspelled “Turismo” in the headline.  Of course, it didn’t take long for word of the ‘mistake’ to hit our own forums, and Galvanise at NeoGAF managed to grab this screenshot.  Good catch!

it is being advertised because polyphony Digital is going to provide GT5 for the PC as well, I am about 30% sure they will, of course the PS3 will be the main source, but going to the PC will be Fuggin unreal

None of you have the right to say anything. Do I win?

Anyway, why is Microsoft posting a link to a month old video that the entire world has already seen?

    @NI55AN

That was it mate, when you clicked it took you through to the E3 trailer. It was in the top 1000 movies on the MSN today page.

You all need to stop with this foolish argument ,everyone has the right to say whatever they want, so no shut-ups.

Why does anybody hate Microsoft then, they even advertise GT lol.

But about the 2 Games, you can’t generally say that one of them is better. Thats just what I think. They both are games of extreme high quality and quantity and they deliver fun and excitement like no other games in their genre.

I hope that now the time starts where the GT-Players can finally start their Online-Community. Forza did it with their first game, maybe just with the advantage of xbox live^^. Maybe Turn 10 can teach PD something about “UGC” and multiplayer. Anyway, i hope that PD dont suck in the online part, like in Prolouge. Otherwise, it will stay just as an nice looking “Driving Simulator”.

I think this is what is called a “noob” moment, or something like that.

P.S. Don’t get stressed over Desperado Jordan. Its hard enough trying to say anything about a game which LITERALLY has been saying nothing about anything! Its nothing short of a miracle to discover how you’ve managed to find little bits of news to occupy ourselves while waiting (hopefully) for (SOME) news pertaining to game that as epically proportioned as it may be, is understood by none thanks to the silence echoed by the developers and producers of P.D.

Oh we did get some news about GT5’s release date remember?

So when does it come out?

    KY: “I can’t tell you”

If you’ve got better ideas, Desperado, I’d love to hear them. I know you’d like for me to drop bombshells every day, but that’s not possible. The goal of this blog is to cover any and all news about the Gran Turismo series. As the article says, this is just a little something to “make you smile”. I’m sorry that you didn’t.

Are we going to get new information(trailers, playable, release date(finally))on August 18(GamesCon)?
    I Hope a new trailer and a 2009 release.

I’ve seen that woman somewhere before…

…But I can’t remember if it was on the news or in a George A. Romero film.

    Hmmm…
