They’re a long way from what is possible in GT6. Saving for GT7? Who knows. All I do know is that these new events are a stop-gap for GT7.

Has anybody else noticed in the Cape Ring race, you race against G. Chapman? Graham Chapman, the dead Monty Python, was born on 08 January 1941. Furthermore, G. Chapman is using a Lotus Elise! Coincidence, or a truly excellent tribute to a legendary comedian? You decide!

My PS3 doesnt read GT6 anymore. I have posted before in the forum. Seems many people are experiencing this. I believe PD needs to make a patch/update for this. My other PS3 games work fine. I maintain my PS3 games and system very well. This really is a bummer because I play this game alot. I have a PS3 Slim 120GB

Any help would be great. I’ve done everything I can think of to fix the issue.
I’ve called PlayStation Service for help and they dont know whats going on either and couldn’t fix the issue.

I have posted in the forums before doesn’t mean you can clutter up the news section with completely off topic posts.

Whoo, new seasonal events, Boo, back to the same old, same old !!
If only every event was like the holiday specials huh ! Getting seriously disillusioned with GT6 now what with the lack of decent events, cr@ppy payouts and boring paint chips.
I don’t play the drift trails as I’m not very good at them and never really ‘got them’ TBH as to why they’d be included in a racing/driving simulator ?
Don’t even get me started on the missing/delayed/non existent track creator, cr@ppy servers that disco regularly, online room glitches that show the car from the previous race etc etc.
Kaz and the team really need to get their act together and address these failings or else the days of the GT franchise are numbered what with ProjectCARS due for release in two months time !

I love that photo of that infinit, truly looks futuristic.
Hey PD can we have some Expert events that do not require some race car or super cars? Omg how boring is it that expertise dwindles down to fast and owerpowered? How about control and precision in something slower like in the 450-500 range.

  6. Racemachine

If they just let us make our own events with all the options, like tire wear fuel consumption and pick who we race against, they can focus more on gt7 and get it done.

  7. ccaranna

Don’t understand how PD comes up with the credit prizes. 31,500 for bronze? Why not 32,000. That way if you get gold the reward is an even 200,000, not 199,500. Guess I won’t be able to buy that extra gauge. ;-)

I gotta learn how to drift! But the paint chips are almost not worth it. I’m not gonna spend more than an hour learning how… rather be running fast and quick (not furious).

    1. AERO_HDT

I don’t drift, Phil, but I welcome it as part of the GT skillset, just like I welcome rally mode. It is a driving simulator, so it’s for everyone, not just those of use who drive in a straight line! ;)

  9. BrunetPaquet

I’m thinking they’re putting a ton of focus on GT7 might be the reason why GT6 is not advancing.

If only PD would give us a sign of life, unless someone is more in the know than us, y’know, like, someone with insider info.

Anyways, these Drift Trials and Hotlaps (These are not “super” at all in my opinion.) are not events that I enjoy. Hence why I rarely try ’em out.

Back to playing other racing games. Don’t blame me for playing stuff like Grid Autosport or Forza Horizon 2, they may not be simulators, but at least, hey… they’re focused mainly on fun, right?

    1. Lambob

Focus on GT7 aside, there will be no further sign of any GT6 life until Spring at the earliest, for this week, every Asian businessman and woman are at the CES show, then Japan has their Coming of age day next week, then it’s Asian New Year, or Spring Festival in February, then they come out of the woodwork, then Project Cars ships, they’ll be studying that inside out as will everyone else here.

Still love PD! They aren’t going anyplace soon, not until GT7 hits, sadly though, it might not make it for late 2015.

    2. DaGiBUS

I’d rather have GT7 in early to mid 2016 just so they can polish the game further.
Having to meet the December 6 deadline GT6 had made the release, to me at least, feel rushed and didn’t have that overall shine

    3. SavageEvil

@Johnnypenso Kaz himself probably doesn’t but doesn’t mean folks on his team don’t. He only spoke of himself not anyone else.

    1. infamousphil

Don’t fell.bad, DaGiBus. PD has always been stingy with credit rewards. Part of the game’s flow… one win or successful attempt shouldn’t pay for a most desirable whip. Least some pay for tyres ;)

    2. SavageEvil

Wait didn’t the Christmas events give out a hefty sum, I was at 4 days multiplier and got like 1.3 million for second place using that Chapparal thing. Really dude, you’re complaining about bi weekly seasonals to give you a crap load of money every two weeks if you do absolutely nothing else in the game and you still complain? FFS man you can’t be serious.

    3. SavageEvil

Dammit that should be bi-montly, not weekly. Why does this not have edit ability at least for 5 minutes after you submit.

  10. Pootis

I used the Mercedes-Benz VGT (not the race version) for the Tsukuba super lap.

With the transmission gear ratios set to where it’s more acceleration biased with a sports computer and window weight reduction, gold was easy. Also messed with the suspension.

  11. Siren

uggghh these drift trials are literally too easy. I get more action drifting online than this. Its suppose to be a challenge not a walk in the park v_v
