I found this browsing the satellite track maps, it looked cool. So a couple of things. I don't really know the length of this configuration. Buttonwillow says their "combined" course is 3.1 miles, but I can't find which track configuration that is. I chose their "Race #1" configuration which looked like the longest. The default front straight is a little too long, so I had to modify the first and last corners to get similar corner characteristics of the real course.
I've raced the AI in the WSR 1983 F3 detuned to simulate a Skip Barber Formula 2000 car. Upping the weight to 1250 lbs, reducing the power to 150 bhp, reducing downforce to the minimums, and running on Sports Medium tires. It was a lot of fun, and I didn't win (spun twice, came in 4th).
This is a cool track, with lots of opportunities to pass. If you've driven the real track, please let me know how my replica compares.
