    2021 FIA Series Race Discussion

A busy week again meant limited practice and single slots for each of this week's FIA races. I probably should have skipped both and concentrated on RL stuff more but I like both of the combos and was itching to race. Wed's Nations was as pretty close to a disaster as I could get. I did the...

    2021 FIA Series Race Discussion

I was thinking about that when I was practicing the other day - this has some really wide, long turns that want an out-in-out line. Problem is, with all the room it's just inviting the divebombers. It's going to feel very weird going against the flow of the track. With all the understeer they...

    Formula 1 Formula 1 Heineken Gran Premio D’italia 2021

Steward's decision below. Honestly, I thought Hamilton should've gotten a similar penalty at Silverstone. But I'm glad the stewards are stepping up and making a decision rather than calling it a racing incident. This title fight has resulted in several crashes where the drivers are lucky to...

    2021 FIA Series Race Discussion

Yesterday was the first time my schedule allowed for an FIA race in a few weeks now - and only one slot at that. I didn't have high expectations with the Jag on this track, not to mention that my DR's inflated from a couple weeks of good combos in the dailies. I never really manage to nail down...

Game feels “sterile” all of a sudden.

What if it's a Jack Daniel's and anime livery?

Game feels “sterile” all of a sudden.

Personally, I'd like to see the super softs used every once in a while. Also, it'd be more interesting if the tire compounds worked differently on different cars. That's something I don't I realized much until I started following F1 more closely a few years ago. It's interesting to see teams...

    "Daily" Race Discussion

I've grown to like the Supra. It probably comes from the fact that when I first started playing Sports mode, I tried Maggiore in the Supra and instantly put myself into a death spin. From that day forward it became a challenge for me and somewhat of a barometer for myself regarding my skill...

    "Daily" Race Discussion

Either I've actually started to find a little speed or the last couple of combos have just been outstanding for me. I rarely use my main account on daily races unless I know I can stay towards the front and avoid most of the SR nuking carnage that can occur in the midfield. The main's up around...

Formula 1 Formula 1 Rolex Belgian Grand Prix 2021

All this talk about the cost of an F1 event got me thinking: I understand what Lewis Hamilton was saying when he said he hopes that people get their tickets refunded but he probably unwittingly just poured fuel onto a fire that's going to make some poor box office worker's day miserable. If F1...

Formula 1 Formula 1 Rolex Belgian Grand Prix 2021

Likely the entire reason they ran a farce of a race was to make it classified as a race to legally fulfill a lot of contracts. I would guess that it would have been much more expensive for them to outright cancel the race.

Probably in the millions. You're talking extra wages for people that are paid and not on salary. You're talking extra fees for all of the gear on site - if you want them available for an extra day "just in case" you're paying something to reserve it for another day. If you're building that...

Formula 1 Formula 1 Rolex Belgian Grand Prix 2021

Everything costs money. With an event as large and as complicated as an F1 event, planning out a contingency of postponing an event takes a lot of planning and a lot of time. Trust me, if you've ever seen an organization of this size do anything, you'd understand that nothing is simple, easy or...

The tear down and set up is the issue, not how far away the next venue is. With enough forewarning and lead time, the teams could have sent separate units to the Netherlands but it's too late now, they're trucking the same gear there.

FIA regulations requires a race to complete at least two laps to classify as a race and award points.

Most of the people you see working any sporting event have other full-time jobs and just do the event as a side gig. I guarantee a lot of them have to work their real jobs tomorrow.
