The most obvious difference I've noticed are:
the wheels, in GT2 the wheels actually have a bit of a dish, where in GT1 they're perfectly flat....
true vette, if you ****ed your power band it could impair your top speed. in gt2 it doesn't happen though. so in short. if you're turbocharging...
^ 500's the top you can get without cheating per se. it does require the motosports land out of map trick though. unless you're doing the wheelie...

adding a turbo kit and increasing the power of you car increases your top speed as long as the gearing allows it, it never ever ever EVER reduces...
in the real world the Vspecs have different differentials to the nonvpec units, they're active rather than your regular lsd i think, but i don't...
ps: i'm probably wrong on most of those. the fiat might well be the lightest and the slowest
Escudo's the fastest (very fast)
Subaru 360 is the lightest (sfa kg)
Fiat 500 is the slowest (22hp)
heaviest, the V8 vantage would sure be up...

It's certainly easier and more realistic in Gt3. it can be done to a limited degree in Gt2, but really long very sideways drifts are a lot harder...

I'd let you modify cars properly. that is, if you want to spend a bzillion credits, you should be able to have a 3000hp skyline....
GT, it has a high framerate mode, and turbo lag, what more could you want?
