'66 Shelby Cobra 427

...

Tuned on a Fanatec PWTS wheel.

Use 3rd gear almost everywhere, but drop it to 2nd when you loose revs.

If you want to save money, you can skip the Exhaust parts, stock is powerfull as it is, but I had a tuned one
so I used that

Have fun trying it, and let me know what you think of it.

👍👍👍 Thanks theyoytoy! This Shelby Cobra drift setting works great, but I removed the Race Exhaust as you suggested because the car tends to spin more with it.

Upon seeing you use PWTS, I tried all six (6) of your posted drift settings and found the Shelby Cobra to be the best - lots of torque and three (3) useable gears for drifting (2nd, 3rd, 4th)! I also use PWTS (mainly in FM3). This is the first time I'm drifting in Gran Turismo, never played older versions of GT either.

Here's a sample video of the Shelby Cobra. Sorry for the poor quality, I used point and shoot camera to capture it. Likewise, sorry for the bad drifting, like I said this is the first day I'm drifting on GT5. Got the dream drifter trophy too, I give credit to your tunes.

BTW, I also like your Viper drift setting, very stable and consistent. I hope you could post a drift tune for '07 BMW M3.

Settings worked very good for me but in my opinion if you add some negative toe angle at the rear wheels about -30 it may drift even better that is just my opinion and i'm still figuring it out
Keep up the good work

I havent read the whole thread to see if someone has already suggested this; but it would be nice if the list in the first post was alphabetised by manufacturer then model/type with a link with the username. Example with random usernames; the links go to google now, but they would lead to the tune as they do at the moment.

Thank you very much. I try to make the different car behave the sameway, so if you can drift one, you should be able to drift them all.

Right now I am working on: SL 55 AMG, BP Falken RX-7, Highlands G37, BMW 2002, so why not add the '07 BMW M3:)

Any other car I should have a look at?

First tune on cape ring mini then refined on Eiger.

The transmissions needs to be tuned on each track since you want to keep the rpms around 6k - 8k, When the you're ending the oversteer it goes straight right when the wheels stop to spin so you should give a try.

It requires some throttle skills to keep it sliding but I think it does a great show :sly:

Thanks for the comment. Ive noticed that the rear wheels dont seem to "float" as well as most other cars. This may be due to the high horsepower. Ill try your tip when i get home.

Any good Lexus ISF drift setup for wheel players? I'm a good drifter with DS3 but i'm now learning with DFGT (its more fun), with Lexus only lowered the ride height and a little touch in camber and the rest stock I can do the big one Tsukuba corner and some more ones but i think this car can be better, dunno what to touch to it go longer and more stable... LSD?

And guys you use Assisted Direction On or Off?

Cheers

I tried the -30 toe angle you suggested and it worked nicely for a few tracks. At times tho it made the ass end of the car a little unstable on the smooth tracks. This adjustment worked wonders on tracks like Deep Forest and strangley Fuji.
Theres different styles of how people enter their turns. I myself, like to let the cars engine and gears start the loss of traction in the rear. That seems to favor more straight toe angles. -0.8 toe was what i sticked with.
Thanks for the recomendation.
