Now this is interesting.. My First Gran Turismo has WAY sharper graphics on stock ps5 with PSVR2. Everything is crisp and clean. I can barely notice the noise from fresnel lenses, nothing more. All instrumet clusters are clear without leaning in. Did they forget to nerf non-pro PS5 in MY1stGT, or is the game so much lighter, it can run full resolution. 🧐 If anyone wants to try PS5 pro PSVR2 before buying, just download MFGT..

Cool demo for new players and I enjoyed it myself, got 18 new cars in main game as well! Not selling those, the M3 Sport Evolution got an engine swap and have now 571 hp! Didn't have a red Countach either. :)

So this is just Gran Turismo for babies essentially. I wasn't soo lucky when I first started playing... I had to do all the hard yards on my own and suffer a great deal of frustration as I stumbled through the licence tests. Of course, this did prove to be particularly helpful in my development as a driver, but I would not wish it upon anyone😹 Anyway I genuinely do believe that a demo like this is a great way of introducing people to the franchise and in turn drive sales I guess.

What we have here... focus on license tests, no race cars, no VGTs, no esports "stars", only cult sports cars and "ordinary" vehicles with their full descriptions exposed in very first seconds of the trailer. Not bad.

It's almost like Kaz tried to send us a message: "look, guys, I still remember what made Gran Turismo great, no need to worry about Gran Turismo 8".

Well, at least that's what I'd like to believe in. I'll still be worried about GT8 until I see a proper progression system in the next game instead of this Cafe nonsense :D
If only Kaz gave us the same options like in GT3/GT4 which takes a few hours to code. Or at least made all options unlockable, e.g. so that if we finish any race by any place, we get to change all the parameters for that event, like tire wear, PP, HP, layout rules etc. And also starting place!

With 500 cars in the game, one might feel at least the cars would randomise in any given race each time entered.
I think only the Clubman+ races randomise the cars. Those races have become my "Tuning Car Grand Prix" from GT4.

To quote a well known song from the Blues Brothers .... "what do ya want fer nothin'?..... a rubber biscuit?"

GT5 is worse.

I'm not defending the café system, but it's far more forgivable game design than "24 hour race that winning doesn't give you enough XP to level up to unlock the next 24 hour race" was.
This can be solved with a GT5 editor. And the exponentially increasing XP to level up is the worst single factor of error & faulty game mechanism design ever in the GT series. A few years ago I replayed GT4 while hadn't played it for more than 10 years, the forced sports tires in too many events is also annoying, but is almost forgivable compared to the lack of options in GT7 single player.

I estimate that selling all 18 cars in GT7 should give you around 1 million credits. Can anyone with the cars please check?

Sarah is really getting around....

How does one transfer the cars to GT7?

I downloaded this on my Korean account yesterday and played it to 100% and got 18 tickets in GT7. I've now downloaded it from my UK account and everything is locked again. Does this mean I can get another 18 tickets in GT7?

I'd like to thank PD for seemingly aiming this demo directly at me!

I've been putting off buying GT7 because...
1) I've been spending my time playing other titles.
2) I wasn't sure I wanted the GT style of gameplay again.
3) It's always been a bit expensive (especially if I didn't like it).

Now with MFGT I can...
1) See what I have or haven't been missing.
2) Find out if I was right or wrong.
3) For free!

So I'm looking forward to try out My First Fourth Gran Turismo later. It'll probably be something for the weekend, sir.

A question that nobody might be able to answer - unless they've tried it.
Once completed, does your progress continue over into GT7? Or do you have to start over again, same tests etc? I see you get some cars which is indeed a starting bonus I suppose.

There's no connection between the two, aside from 18 car tickets being dunked into your GT7 Gifts.

Oh my word... I forgot how horrendous licenses were... If it was really my first experience with GT I would have definitely stopped playing after 10min.

Impossible to get gold at A2.

And the musics are just annoying!

Plus abolute clowny musics for the rallies (except MOTC of course)

I thought the demo was a good idea but so far it has shown the most insuferable aspects of GT7.

Ah okay, ta. I thought that I might get away with skipping some of the basic introduction. Seemingly not. 🙂

Impossible to get gold at A2.
I'm a DR B driver in Sport/7 (admittedly on the A threshold, for all the five races I do a year) and I got all-golds in MFGT no bother.

Yeah of course I am well aware that 99% of this forum will get gold blindfolded with one hand. It does not make it easier or funnier for me. And it really would not make me want to buy GT7.

Fortunately as I have been playing GT7 (and other installments) for years, I know there is much more fun in this game.

Soooo... not "impossible" then?

There are far more challenging things in GT7, including licences and Circuit Experiences.

And that's kind of the point, really. This is a relatively easy taster for GT7, and there's some things that are very straightforward and some that might take a couple of goes - whereas in GT7 most stuff isn't quite so first-timeable and requires a bit of persistence to learn where you're going wrong.

A2 is just the first corner at Deep Forest, as has featured in more than a couple of licence tests starting right back in GT1. It's just an out-in-out and isn't even the hardest A licence in MFGT, never mind the hardest licence. Have you tried downloading a top-10 ghost to follow?

As the question came up earlier, with the current used car dealearship appraisal rates you look at around 1.5million credits if you sell the 18 cars (the countach alone is almost 1 million). Time needed is around 1 to 1.5 hours.
Jesus, just play the game.

Great, thank you so much!

I asked this question specifically. As credits in Gran Turismo 7 are sparse by design, I want to make best use of the time I have for playing.

Impossible for me of course 🙄 I am petfectly aware that there are a bazillion people who will find it easy.
It's a two-input test, really; you just need to brake in the right place to get you to the inside and then get on the power as soon as you possibly can.

Try the ghost thing. MFGT has this feature, like GT7 does; click the "Leaderboard" section at the bottom and then select the Top 10. Pick a time and load the ghost.

Fun fact, MFGT has button-mapping for GT7 too. Which means there's a Nitrous/Overtake button, but none of the cars in it have any boost/DRS capability and you can't tune them in any way - much less add nitrous.

To be clear, I am speaking of getting gold. About 30 attempts, watched the demo a lot. Struggling to brake and to put power down exiting the turn, either I put a bit too much and the car oversteers, or too little and I am too slow.

Are you playing on controller or a wheel?
