To be honest I just wanna see other people try their hand at it

I call BS.

You're upset because you're not receiving the praise you think you're entitled to for the work you assumed you'd be "compensated" for. If it were not for JR's curiosity provoking comment I would have been oblivious to yet another one of your ridiculously self-centered posts. Unfortunately, my sin is the gluttony of choosing to view the bottom 0.1% of this thread (which I normally ignore) even though I knew I'd more than likely become annoyed by the results. You may find benefits to owning up to your faults rather than making up false intentions to mask them.

Uhh nope not that at all. I never claim shells for my banner pics I just do it for the hell of it. It takes time to take a lot of photos and I was taking them with banners in mind for the framing and what not. I was more disappointed that one didn't make it considering there were so many. That's all. I'm definitely not the attention whore personality type.

Edit: But yea, I do wanna see more people try taking pictures. It's fun.

Why didn't you start a PM with the owner of the "Banner selecting buddy" @Falango ? 2nd why do you focus on a project that's probably not your skill or sometimes only as @JLBowler replied to you, sure you have other soft skills you feel comfortable with and by this enrich the SNAIL community, so reflect yourself and build out what you really feel comfortable with and help the community with that stuff man ;):D:gtpflag:
cheers

Mr. Lessen, you are smart, skilled, and knowledgeable about racing. Why someone such as yourself would write something like the posted quote above is a mystery to me. I can only guess. Perhaps relieving boredom by starting another war in the thread is the goal? Even if what you claim is correct, and I am not saying it is, your abrasive comments seem unnecessary to me. I look forward to your comments regarding racing and gt6, etc. But, perhaps by having a little patience, compassion and understanding, your cause would be better served. Please don't take this post as an attack, it is not, it is an entreaty to live and let live, and to treat others with the respect you would want to be treated with, and that they deserve. Just my .02

Because Im neither afraid or ashamed to call it like I see it, even at the risk of sometimes being inappropriate, unpopular or just plain wrong. I despise political correctness and our society's general fear of judgement. I appreciate your kind words but I'm hardly smart or skilled; just an average guy with an average opinion worth a maximum two cents. Sometimes they're shiny and sometimes they're corroded, but they're mine and they're valuable to me, but not always everybody else.

I've been so busy this week, but dreaming of racing that Camaro! Got to run about a fifteen or so laps the other night and it's just dreamy around the Bath-house! I remember saying I felt like Steve McQueen driving that thing. In my opinion, the Pozzi was a great choice. I hope it lives for a while.

Matter of fact... I have some time now!

Use the "Rain" line there. Move the turn in point a little later, than cut across the dry line and apex a little later. And be gradual with the throttle, or you'll spin like I did :)

All would have been well, except I had a few things working against me in the rain. They repainted the "gaiters" (kerbs) last night, they were slicker than camel snot, the rain that started 10 - 20 min before my group somehow changed the concrete with sealant into "ice capades" - and I did OK for four laps or so, gradually picking up the pace. Instructor is a fairly serious racer - urges me to be quite close to brand new DE drivers, but I have (usually) been good about doing what I am comfortable with. Mind you, he isn't asking me to do anything wrong, reckless, stupid, etc, but he is trying to expand my knowledge or skills. He just takes in soooo much more info than I do at this point. More info, and faster.

We started conservatively, very slowly working out where there is grip and how much. Which lines work, how does alt line A vs B work, and so on. I would ask for this instructor again, he is great. As we built speed lap to lap, I realize we are back up to 110-120 heading to the bus stop. In the morning, I was crushing the bus stop, picking up gobs of time over most in my group.

This, however, was no longer morning, nor dry. I went into the bus stop, thinking of far too many variables at 110 feet per second. I was trying to avoid placing outside loaded tires on concrete, then I clipped too much of the newly slickery kerb, bounced back onto the rain infused concrete, began to pivot, went "all in" and gracefully pirouetted to about a foot short of the 'blue bushes' with their bountiful harvest of Armco berries.

With the rain, there was no approaching traffic to be seen, so we merged back onto the track. The flagger gave me some funky green colored stop sign signal, but I headed to the pits at 80% speed and far lower than 80% spirits. While I cleared with the marshal on pit row, my instructor (he really is friendly!) used his mic to trash talk the marshal ("Ask if his mother is a hobbit..."), or telling me to say "C'mon, I need a hug! Dude...Can I go now?" It was funny, really.

I didn't take the option for a final lap. Enough for today.

Tomorrow is forecast for more rain. I am aiming for many notches slower, and a firmer guide of what I will or won't do, and I am committed to sharing my view openly with my instructor. I learned much, and I am very happy all worked out.

Happy to hear the Armco did not claim you as it's own. When I had my session there in the wet, I was all in, but very cautious. I wanted to learn to drive fast in the rain and I know it was beneficial when I returned there a year later and it was very cold and the track was slick (ie 30-40 degrees out). Everything is a opportunity to learn, but most importantly, have fun and stay safe. Have fun on Sunday. I'll be safely situated in a parking lot of cones.

Next time @DesertPenguin09, I'll make sure all 3 of the banner pictures are from you. Will that make you happy? If you want to go down the road of the effort you put in, I make these banners, and I don't even race anymore on Sundays, but you don't hear me moaning or anything. When was the last time you saw @zer05ive in a Sunday race? I enjoy this community. You can't always be the center of attention. Stop being a child.

I pick the images that suit the format and layout the best, and try to split the recognition too (did you not notice you actually still had one image in there). Sometimes I get a real nice picture for a combo, but the car is on the wrong side of the frame, based on which side the text is on. If you want to keep whining about whether your pictures get used or not, I'd rather not receive them from you.

Did I miss the post? The one where you tell the SNAIL community that you are now officially a Formula Vee driver? Or did you just figure that sometime after you changed your signature someone would notice? Dude!!! Congratulations!!! I am so happy for you! You, Mr. Robbie, are the Man!

Apparently if you use your middle name and the street you live on that will give you your porn star name...or racing alias if you prefer!!!
In my case that would be David Van Horne...somewhat appropriate!!!

Ok,so @Mike Lobban and I are related,,,,heres what the name generator gave me "Sreenivassanamanan Jaboodiboodi"so we are both Jaboodiboodi's!LOL

Wasssup, guys?
I think Project Cars took over me! I can't let that thing go! Without any intention of hurting anything or anyone, it's so much better than Granturismo! So much better.I know GT has more cars, is somehow easier regarding menu organization or tuning but in terms of real driving experience, physics and car sounds PCARS is 10 steps ahead.
I'm not going to be that guy that says "I'm not touching this crap GT again" because I love it too and i intend to stay around you guys for longer but PCARS is definitely Da #1 Thing :D
Is there any snail move to pcars in the horizon?
