Oh I would get the speeds out of that POS Arris modem, which is now doing duty as a phone only modem, but it was unstable and I have speedtests showing it lower than 1Mbps down. Shoulda heard the TW tech that day.
The 50Mbps didn't hold up very long. The download is back to what I pay for, 20Mbps, but the upstream seems to be maintaining better than what I used to get and exceeds what I pay for by a little bit. I'm really more interested in the modem's stability and it staying synched.
While pinning TW down to give me some discounts would be great, I doubt I could convince them it was their fault and they gave me a modem that was below spec for the service I paid for, since 8 times out of 10, the speed tests I ran, at their site and independent sites, showed I was getting "acceptable" rates. As someone has said here and elsewhere, the effort, in this case, isn't worth the squeeze. If the stability and speeds turn to crap however....
For those needing it, that Audi is on my share list. At least it was last night when I checked. It's only got about 60 miles on it however.
Are both of those Cisco Modem/Gateway/Routers? Did a quick google on the Cisco DPC 3825 and what little I saw was a 2.3 star review average. That's not a determination by itself but I would pass it by based on that review rating.
