Darn I don't get to keep my banner up there.

@zer05ive @kcheeb and @JLBowler, in regards to the tottp on the last page. would it be a good idea to make full time status a required condition to win a prize? I think this makes the most sense. Part time participants I don't think should even be eligible for points, unless they run 3 of 4 weeks, since that does damage to full time racers that are actually competing.

Although I have not had much time to practice this weeks combo's I am still pretty psyched at how this Sim/SNAIL rig is turning out. Got it all glued together and painted today with the Truck Bed Liner. Need to paint a SNAIL logo that I saw on here awhile back on it.

👍

Should be up and running next week.

Good luck tonight everyone!

May I be able to Join. I may not be availible For every race But I will try to be Punctual
@Josh Moss,
Thanks for your interest!
We would love to have you in the league. Here's what you need to know and do in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by midnight EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. The Race Director or Primary Host from the corresponding SNAIL Division will send you a PSN friend request. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

Don't worry, you didn't miss a thing. We canceled league night because a couple of us were out of town for a funeral and we weren't able to get back into town in time. Therefore, the line-up is the same as it was for last week.

Hopefully, we can recruit enough new guys so that we don't have to cancel league night just because a few of us can't make it. Do you know any other GT5 players that would be a good fit for our group?

Considering that the only way to get from part time to full time is to show up and race, I don't think it would be a good idea to tell the part timers that they can't earn points. The point of full time or part time is to try and give us grids that are more consistently filled. It allows us to put divisions together without having to hold too many open spots for guys that might show up (part timers).

I wasn't aware that zer05ive's announcement was even coming. In my mind, there is still some movement that needs to happen from D5 down. D6 was almost created from scratch for the start of this month and when you have that kind of movement among drivers, there are going to be some corrections that take place. The only way to make those corrections is let some races happen and see what shakes out.

That get too complicated IMO. And even if it weren't complicate, I don't think anything like that is necessary. All we're just trying to make it harder for someone who's clearly in the wrong division to win prizes.

Also, treating part-timers as if they're some sort of nuisance wouldn't be a true reflection of how we view them in the league.

Oley! Here is my car history, since im only 21 it will not be very long and you wont see any 911 here ( :( )

IMG_787053156226046.jpeg
Here is my first car, got it at 200 buck, the clutch was done and the old man selling it didnt know why the car was not moving, repaired it with my uncle and got the 1992 nissan sentra back on road, this was also the car i used while doing amateur rally,it followed me every where for 5 rally race and 2 year before i gave up on puting money into stuff that was breaking

IMG_787088064703830.jpeg
A couple week before i give up on the sentra i buy this 1988 toyota corolla from my uncle who buy it new in 88, the car was in exelent condition, thanks to my uncle who worked at toyota for more than 30 year, run it for 2 year or so, but the rust win on the shock tower and make it dangerous, this was the greater car i ever had in my opinion, i even get emotional thinking about it,
IMG_787217720618135.jpeg
one morning after partying i found it like that, never knew who did that, funny guy

IMG_786913397192842.jpeg
Here is my 1989 toyota corolla the day i buy it, buy it from an old lay, only 97k on the dash at the time (km)
IMG_786991057806857.jpeg
man that i love that car :) i cant wait for summer to come back

IMG_787190111121066.jpeg
i then proceed to get a daily drive, an audi a6 2000, wich the engine blowed after 36 day ( gotta say i was beating the heck out of it...) worst thing i ever buy'd, still paying for it, i sold it for the part

IMG_787016098822482.jpeg
For the current winter i had this for escort i buy for 400 dollars, but the tranny actualy died on me 3 day ago, the scrap yard gave me 240 dollard for it, not bad, so im on foot for rest of summer then ill get back to my lovely ae92,

that's it, hope my bad english was understandable,

I didn't open that room....I joined the room and then the host left
It's ok. You are allowed to practice whenever you want without inviting people.

I never post when I practice (granted, I don't practice very often). If my friends want to join, they are more welcome though.

Since we are talking about our cars. I could start with mine.

My first car was a 89 Cadillac Elderado, when I was 15. Dad saw it on Ebay, and asked me if I liked it. I did, and ended up paying for it, and my dad helped with shipping. Unfortunately, the cars had some problems and sat for a little while. Some how the moon roof leaked and water got in, where it sat for a while. It then got moldy, and only had the car for 6 months.

Sold that, and bought a 89 Dodge Shadow. I had this car for about five years, and got me through High School and College. After a while, the car was starting to fall apart, and wasn't worth fixing. Don't have any good pictures of it, but I do have one of me, working on pulling the engine out of it.

I then bought a 03 Grand Prix back in 09, which I still have to this day, and use as my daily driver.

I needed to start my credit. With no credit to my name, what better way to get started, then to get a loan for a vehicle. All my other vehicles I paid full in cash for.

Along side the Grand Prix. Here comes the 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee, that I could use for winters. Bought this one in 2011, I think. Took this mudding, and was pretty fun. Unfortunately, I think the piston rings were shot, and it would use up 5 quarts of oil in 3k miles.

Traded that off, for a 08 Grand Cherokee, which I currently own along with my Grand Prix. Once it's paid off, a lift kit, exhaust, wheel/tires, are planned for it.

camry-dash.jpg

then i moved out, became a bike courier went to school, and had no car,

then got a job, and got a corolla,

That got written off as some idiot pulled out at a 2 way stop ( i had the right of way ) without looking and i smoked him at 80ish km. It was literally right there, skid mark was so small, no injury good times, it was a dodge ram truck full size i hit. took the back wheel off. the other driver had no insurance, no licence, and the plates were supposed to be on a car in north bay. Insurance was well worth it that day, hahahhahah:

i did make out like a bandit w insurance, have 2 kids so went for a cheaper car now to cover costs, i hate it and will get a new one when it dies. the more i hate it, the longer it lasts: uhhhhhh i just hate looking at that POS>

did not put winters on it so its been parked all winter, and i drive it around on its no season tires once a 2 weeks
AWESOME STEREO though.

Is there any contemporary racing game (other than GT6) that doesn't have the MP4/12C GT3?

Other than Forza 5(I don't own it, and most likely never will), I don't think there is any current game that doesn't have it. The first I experienced it was in a mod for GTR2.

I really hope we get the 12C GT3 as DLC in GT6, it's a fantastic car to drive, plus we need more GT3 cars!

I had discovered that the Mercedes VGT Racing Series does actually make a decent 5th GT3 car. But yes, the McLaren needs to be in GT6. And then add the rest, although the Porsche 911 GT3 R will probably be impossible/not worth it as EA essentially ****-blocks any desire to have it (or any Porsche) in anything that isn't NFS.
