I believe we will see some fish images soon.
I thought about it for a sec but..... I'm in a good mood
Bring on the tuna!!!
With the increase in gold/yellow-ish cars, I will be changing my official colors, but not my number. Would be nice to encourage the use of individualized colors again (keep the hue, Blade, this is a general observation!)
I am now going with the retina popping combo that my daughter helped me select of:
Body: (Color Shift) GT6 Polarized 013
Rims: (solid) Verde Mela
Number - still #44
And it is in the color chart already.
Great Job Guys On The Banners And Pics!
Im diggin the no side bars and desaturated myself.
Go Bauhaus style. I'm GD 2!
Try Fibonacci when splitting image/track. It brings amazing results.
Looking good. Lose the SNAIL Racing. It will always be in the SNAIL thread so it is just extra Stuff to clutter the banner.
Maybe white colored font to stand out better? Looks great!
I like the style but you've got some nasty compression artifacts, or pixelation (or maybe some sort of grainy filter) or something going on... other than that, it's nice!
I say....not a bad idea to get me some baked helping from the oceans.....bring it on...
My questions is......Are we not dropping our worst Sunday result of the month?
Happy I even got that chance to win
That was a well earned win as well!
Race Date: 02 March 2014
Currently tracking 20 Incident Reports
We have at least one prize winner with a racing incident being investigated by the stewards. This may, obviously, change the order of the prizes to be selected. All winners are asked to refrain from making selections until the Weekly Steward's report has been posted.
The target deadline for the Steward Reviews, this week, is Wednesday night by 10PM Eastern. The Steward Summary will be posted as soon as possible, following completion of reviews.
SNAIL Stewards, please make your way to The Incident Review Scoring.
The IR Submission Form is now closed.
Another sample with some changes, (no track drop shadow, Bright lettering track name)
White text with black outline. Always.
Again, the car photo looks grainy or pixelated or something... I much prefer a nice sharp and clear photo for the car.
better? i like it better
i can change the pic, thats not the worry at the moment. we are just lookin at the rest of it.
According to this, Voodoovaj is not eligible to win Prize A. This could potentially start the selection process if he was the prize winner involved and no other prize winners are involved.
I was just checking the results page for last night and noticed I was named as pole winner for round 2, but that should be serge_1919.
That's the one if you ask me.
D2 data has been entered to the Results Doc for 3/2/14
Gonna try something different with this post. Having entered the data now for a few weeks I find the information contained within the various spreadsheet to be a key asset at making SNAIL what it is. I'm sure many of us "look" at the docs but do we really LOOK at the data. Some highlights:
Pole Lap Honors:
Round 1 : @racefan78 1:11.086
Round 2 : @serge19 2:25.815
Round 3 : @varga 1:58.801
Fast Lap honors:
Round 1 Race 1 : @nmcp1 1:11.204
Round 1 Race 2 : @intoflatlines 1:11.519
Round 2 Race 1 : @nmcp1 2:26.254
Round 2 Race 2 : @dabneyd 2:26.730
Round 3 Race 1 : @varga 1:58.771
Round 3 Race 2 : @varga 1:59.765
Congrats to @Drgreenthumb977 on winning the season
@kcheeb I personally want to thank you for all the effort you put in behind the scenes. I don't know how you managed to salvage the mess that was the Directors sheet this morning but somehow you did. I think I speak for many of us in saying that your effort does not go unnoticed and we truly appreciate all that you do for SNAIL.
In the last few months SNAIL has exploded with new members. Us "old timers" have been around for a while and know that it takes a tremendous amount of time and effort to keep the SNAIL machine going. For those new to our family, please remember that everyone behind the scenes does this because we love the ability to go out and enjoy our hobby with like-minded individuals. We take the time record data, upload replays, keep score, asses penalties etc... so that when you are on track with your fellow division members you can experience the best racing possible. Have a look at the TEAM SNAIL sheet and see where you too can help out and keep the SNAIL machine rolling.
Eh, I'm not a huge fan of the feathered outline, but it looks much better than no outline at all.
According to the TEAM SNAIL sheet, I am the data specialist for D2... Is that true? I thought I was a backup-backup data specialist. If so, I will do data moving forward (assuming I am still in D2 and can follow the awesome format that you posted above). Sorry if I missed some weeks of data entry, @nmcp1 ! I must have not checked since the division shakeup at the beginning of last season
I'd appreciate a clarification on this as soon as possible. I've done some testing as if I had the A and the B, but it would be great to know which it is for certain. Thanks!
I can't "like" this post enough. I'd love it if the other data specialists decided to start doing this, too. I'm disappointed that I missed this week with you guys. Some of the combos really looked like a lot of fun to me. Congrats to the consistency standard-bearer of D2 at the moment, @Drgreenthumb977 for another well-earned monthly win. My respect for you just keeps growing.
And congrats for winning the week @nmcp1! I find it hard to believe that you've never done that before. You winning makes me wish even more that I'd been there. I didn't practice either of the new combos this week, but there's something eerily similar about our two driving styles. If you did well, I know I would have enjoyed them.
