Haven't tried the new combos yet, but I think the 2000GT at Rome is little unknown for me, I rarely drive that track.

Subaru BRZ GT300 (my GT300 car of choice) at my 2nd all-time favorite PD created track (the best of course being the legendary SSR11), I think I may be in love with this one before I even hit turn 1. :D

Having an argument with myself whether not I should race my colors (Anniversary Deep Blue with Argento Luna wheels) or Subaru Colors (WR Blue Mica with gold wheels).

Decisions, decisions...

Rome is flatter than the previous dullness of Apricot.

Passing? None, Nada, Zilch! Unless the car in front makes a mistake and hits the wall.

Expect lot of contact in sector 3!

In case anyone doesn't know about Rome and slow cars... fastest way through the kink at the end of the back straight (after the sharp right) is to hit it faster than you normally would if driving through "cleanly" and catch your right side tires on the curbstones in the gap between the stones and the wall... this will cause the right side of the car to jump and kick the car right, and with a little correction, allow you to fly through that corner with considerably more speed than normal.

While this is great for setting a hot qualifier lap... I wouldn't recommend it for actual racing as messing it up means into the inside wall, the outside wall, another driver, and/or spinning out.

Wow, I didn't think Apricot was flat/dull at all and neither is Rome IMO. The changing surfaces seem to really affect grip especially at the right hander before the back straight, not to mention there is some decent elevation change. Passing isn't extremely easy thanks to the slow car, but it can definitely be done on the 2 straights depending on your exit, and corners 2/3. I think it's a lot of fun!

Does anyone in D4 have the replays can can do data I'm having issues keeping google drive app open on my iPad. I can continue to try but I don't want to mess anything up.

Apologies for the still painful to read format, there's not a whole lot I can do to make it look better :guilty:

I think so too.

The GT Academy Database has been updated and currently there have been 71 Snails that have logged their times for the 1st round

A few who I thought would have taken part in GTA, but haven't seen a time for them. You guys plan on taking a shot at it?

I have a question regarding GT Academy. Is it something that will be available to GT6 next year? Or will you have to get GT7 if it is available. I would love to try it but I am no where near good enough at this point.

I would suspect it will be GT7 only next year. But it's just for fun for the majority of us. If I were you, I'd still throw down some laps with it. If nothing else, it's good practice in throttle control and skating.

It'll be a nightmare for me if GT Academy 2015 is on GT7, or its prologue, because I'm seriously considering going for it next year :)

in both of the straights passing can be done as long as the car you are trying to pass holds a straight line; however you can easily take 2 diagonal lines and take all the passing away 'legaly' even with the most perfect exit; I would dare to say that there may be some with just the perfect 'breaking' as to force the chaser to bump which kills all momentum.

Again, it is a matter of preference; I've never liked this track much too.. so.. :irked: I do believe there are better tracks suited for the GT2000 but hey I did not win Ill just survive it and feel  for the stewards.

Nice pics! Does anyone have anymore banner submissions for @Troggy? :D

I plan to do a set after practice. but if it needs to be done sooner please announce it so I use my time wisely.

I gave it a go last night on the DS3 - I think I managed a 1:05.4xx. Gonna see how I do tonight with the rig before we start official practice. For all those SNAIL's that play the game with a DS3, weather you're in D1 or D8, you have my utmost respect.

I'll update my time later this evening.

I will probably be in a similar boat. Also, the coming months will be very hard for me to find time to race, as I will be attending plenty of real life races! I have plans to do the Indy Road Course race in two weeks, the 500, The canadian grand prix, Nationwide Series at Mid-Ohio, and Indycar at Mid-Ohio, going to make for a busy summer!
Awesome....give my best to L'Epingle (Montreal hair pin)....sat there for 12 years....My best spectating season was 1978. Belgian GP, German GP, French GP, Austrian GP, LeMans, British GP, Several DTM races, Several Nurburgring Enduros.....and got to drive the Ring. In those days it was 5 marks and drive with your rear view mirror....

It was a very good night in D3. We had some new faces which spiced things up, and racing was generally pretty close. Unofficial results show 5 points between 1st and 4th for the night. @Wolfsatz pounded out some really fast laps (2x poles and 4x fastest laps) along with 2x wins, but a "mechanical" issue came up in the final race which set him back. @intoflatlines had a very untimely disconnection in the final lap of the final race. Unofficial results could have been even closer, with a three-way tie for 1st place!

Thanks to @nmcp1 for the nice layout! Thanks to @Wolfsatz for getting the information for the final race!
