Here's your official S.N.A.I.L. Welcome Post!​

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by 23:59 EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. Send a PSN friend request to the Race Director or Primary Host from your assigned SNAIL Division. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.
If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Not sure how racings gonna go this weekend. Ever since I bought that GTR for this weeks combo my ps3 has been totally "FUBAR" :banghead:
It froze 3 times tonight before I finally gave up.
Also sorry if I messed anyone up in practice.
 
Bout to hit the sack, but wanted to give an update.

The autocross was the only competition today, tonight was pretty relaxed with just the medical checks at the hotel scheduled. Also, unlike last year they're actually encouraging us to share stuff on social media so long as it doesn't involve results.

So, I can't give details of course, but I will say that I think the snails held their own on the autox track and we're all looking forward to tomorrow's events :cheers:
 
Freaken FINALLY! Thanks to the GTEYE spring I've got some control during braking, for so long now I would go into a corner so fast I couldn't slow because I was over braking, (can't steer with it locked up) and everyone thought I was (you all know), well now I'm able to start hitting the brake and because it's progressive I no longer "lock em up" and when I do, I'm hear it as happens and can back off.

Sorry to some of you that had to put up with me for the last two year and to those that put up with me for the last four years!
I'm Not perfect but willing and striving to improve!:gtpflag: And :cheers: To ALL!

So I stopped by the practice this evening, which was my first time participating in anything S.N.A.I.L organized, and it was a blast. I was really impressed with the quality of racing and look forward to running with you guys in the future.

Thanks for the kind words, it's much appreciated. It was awesome to run with you as well. And the little tap was no problem man. There was a stretch of 3-4 laps there where we were absolutely bumper to bumper.

I was in a Tesla Model S on SH tires, you was in a 300ZX on much grippier tires, and I was having a tough time hanging on to it on the bumps at the Nurburgring, where I later spun.

I was in the car as spec for this week, 447 PP SH tires.
And I was joking.👍 I'll let the modsame know that the Sarcasm for I'd broken again.

Good luck man! I used to auto-x at that parking lot so I'm sure it was a blast in the 370Z.
 
Well I've lost all my GT6 data. 8 million credits, 150 some cars all gone!!!:banghead:
So I'll be starting the long haul from scratch again...which means I'll be running a limited schedule in Snail till I build up enough credits again... No more race cars please!!:lol:
Might have enough by tonight to race the Mustang in ROC and the 350 z on Sunday.

Yeah, your braking seemed to be less unpredictable then I have found it previously. We had a good nose to tail run at Trial Mountain last night and I found it easier to judge my own braking point to avoid any contact. Good stuff .

Man that's really weird still. Because I have bought multiple GT-R GT500 Base Model's and not once has it done that to me. I don't know what the problem is. But hope to see you in the track soon.

Have you tried deleting the current data and loading from the GT6 backup file. I had a power cut just as there was a game save in progress and ended up with a corrupted file. GT6 automatically saves a backup file and once I deleted the corrupted file I loaded the data from the backup file which was saved before the problem and, hey presto, I was back in action albeit with a few less credits then I had when the file went kaput.

Yeah somehow I lost back up file also so I only have progress as far as I've gone since reboot.
I like your avatar btw. Who's in the Ferrari?
 
@singlepaddy I hope you are able to get things sorted out, maybe turnupdaheat's suggestion will work. BTW, I had no issues when buying GTR. Hope you can make it for tonight.
