Uhhmm... Yeah.

But the M4 can't be painted and you can't change the wheels either.

Yes, you can.

But lets keep lime green body and/or wheels to a certain tolerance. Having just 1 in any division is far too many. :P

And no, you can't have #69 as somebody had to be classy enough to take it already.

Just finishing up shifter install and will be ready to try new G27 that I got today!
Wow, why didn't I get this set up earlier, I feel like I actually have some control under braking now, and apparently it will be even better when I get the GTEye. The other big change I noticed was being able to recover the car after getting out of shape, where I would have been off the track with my DFGT, I was able to correct and continue on.
I can only imagine what the higher end wheel and pedal systems must feel like!

Then, there is this that can be applied, on the fly, to your G27.

T, S, O & X are representative of the buttons on the DS3 Triangle, Square, X and O. 1 & 2 represent the Select and Start buttons on the DS3. The G27 shifter module has the TSOX buttons arranged at the top in the same pattern as on the DS3 and you will have to map the Select and Start from within the GT6 setup menu to other buttons of your choice.
I use the 2 middle red buttons on the shifter console for Select and Start. If I have time tonight I will get a picture of my GT6 wheel setup screen.

Ok gotcha. Thanks. So can I use these mappings at any time or do I have to be in a specific menu or screen in order to activate the different mappings?

For anyone with a DFGT, all those setting work there too.

Any time after it calibrates. It's the logitech software in the wheel and not game related.

As long as GT6 is loaded, the settings will take effect until the wheel recalibrates.

Not all DFGTs work with those keystrokes. Mine does not.

Is that a G27 thing? My dfgt holds the setting until told otherwise directly.

I have read that on some of the older ones it does not work. :(

I have read that if the wheel recalibrates, at either wheel disconnect/re-connect, game reload or PS3 reboot, you have to redo the button press combo to re-enable the setting. Since they don't work on my DFGT, I haven't been able to verify that claim. So far as I know, if the G27 auto-re-calibrates, for any reason, you will have to redo the button press combo to enable your preferred setting.

To all SNAIL Data Entry Specialists; Please review this document, SNAILDataEntry101 for quick reference on what and where to enter the timing data in the S.N.A.I.L. Results - New file.

A reminder to all SNAIL Scorekeepers; The SNAIL Scorekeeping 101 document is the reference for entering scores in the S.N.A.I.L. Directors' Points Tally and Elimination Votes - New.

Thank you.

@JLBowler , if you would be so kind as to add the links for those references to your FAQ post, it would be appreciated.

Added to the frequently used documents post.

Bench Mark Times: Fastest Laps so far. If you have, or know of a better time. Inform/Post it on the thread and I will edit the times.

RX-7: 1:21.626 (@Pizzle13 )

GTR GT500: 1:45.746 (GTP_LLOYDZ)

BMW M4: 1:24.596 (@juicybeans916 )

Crazy time on the RX-7! was that in an online room or time trial, I played around a bit last night, I can get close doing the time trial but online i am 1:23.xxx

Also I think Neo was killing it last night with the M4 with 1:23's not sure on his exact time though

For now on, if you're submitting a time, send me prove if it first. A picture etc. And if it's online or not with tire wear. I want to make this and the "Gearing" a steady thing, and I don't want false information. :)

my average is 1:22, 5 to 1:22,8

i suck major at the other 2 combos, i cant seem to throw the car around like when i watch the really fast guys
i watch their brake points in apricot hill for the hairpin but when i try to copy them it always overshoots, not sure what im doing wrong

I don't think I was going that fast. Last night was my first time back on the PS3 after the trip to New York.
