Gran Turismo 7 Release Window Changed in Sony’s Edited PS5 Video
GRAN TURISMO 7 25 December 8, 2020 by Jordan Greer
Since Gran Turismo 7 was first revealed back in June of 2020, its release date has remained a slightly confusing mystery.
The most “official” release window we have was set by the fine print in PlayStation 5 marketing materials which first appeared last month. A video titled “New Worlds to Explore”, uploaded to the official PlayStation YouTube channel on November 7, clearly stated that GT7 was “anticipated [for] release in 2021”.
However, in a rather extraordinary turn of events, the text in the YouTube video has changed. If you watch the video now (look at the white text at the bottom of the screen around the 9-second mark), Gran Turismo 7 is now described as simply “in development for PlayStation”.
What does this mean for Gran Turismo 7?
It is worth noting how unusual it is for a YouTube video to be changed because it highlights the fact this was a very deliberate — and perhaps even slightly difficult — action for PlayStation to make.
This also suggests that Gran Turismo 7 will almost certainly not make the “first half of 2021” release window that was originally mentioned.
This week's prize winners are clear to make their selections. Good racing!
The IR Submission Form is now closed. We have no incidents on file. Target deadline for reviews is NLT 10PM Eastern on Friday, 12/12/20.

@LST @IceWarden @Timlour will be included in a conversation in the next few minutes that will contain instructions and deadlines.
We have a repeat prize winner this week.
If you raced in D1 this week, you get to make a suggestion for Prize A from which @LST will make his choice.
Your suggestion must be made by posting in this thread.
You may not edit your post to change your suggestion.
Be sure to include the full in-game name of the car and track and time of day. Failure to include time of day will result in default being chosen.
The deadline to make a suggestion will be Wednesday at noon ET.
Remember that you are not voting for a suggestion that was already made. You are making your own suggestion.
Time of day with rain or wet track effects are not eligible for selection.
Please do not include photos or other extra text in your suggestion as it just has to be deleted when the posts are grouped together.
SNAIL Approved Track List
Full approved track list can be found here.
Prize winners are allowed to choose the time of day for their track selection. If a specific time of day is not selected then the default time of day will be used. (Note: The time of day settings differ between arcade and online modes in the game. Always check the lobby settings when selecting time of day.) In the event that a track is frozen, the time of day will also be frozen with the track.
Please remember that any car and track combo chosen must produce a mid-division lap time that is under 5 minutes. Also note that any selected track will be bound by the SNAIL lobby settings.
Also remember that any car chosen must not hit the rev limiter at any time, even in the draft.

Hello! I am new here, how do I get started?
Edit: Nvm, found the welcome post
Also, is there a set time for the league races? I am a student, which does affect my decision to join.
I will pass the freeze.
Have start right here. Everything you need is in this post. A welcome post should be along shortly.
◆ SNAIL [Spec] Racing - Presented by ButtKicker: Feel What You've Been Missing
Please follow the directions in the first post of this thread if you wan to join our league. Thanks.
I would really love to participate, but my hours are not great for 9:30 Sunday racing. I may be your annual summer participant
That was fast.
With that selection, we have two more repeat prize winners this week. Both of those voting and suggestion processes will begin once the first suggestion process is complete at noon ET on Wednesday. Both of these windows will be rather short so please pay attention to the thread on Wednesday if you wish to participate in the process.
It looks like we have one suggestion for Prize A. It is listed below and will be the choice.
We will try this again with the drivers of D1 and hope for a little more participation.
You are now voting to freeze the car or the track, Supra or Kyoto. Voting will close at 7PM ET tonight or when a majority is reached. Once that voting closes, I will start a suggestion process for the other half of the combo.

Freeze the car
freeze the car
Whew huge turnout...it was a landslide apparently.
Thank goodness for @Rob Brown or we'd have no Prize A at all.
@Rob Brown I guess 2:05 for a lap time (7 Laps) unless you have something more concrete. Please confirm (or anybody else)
AMUSE S2000 GT1 TURBO on RH Tires @ Alsace - Village - 17:15 Fine Weather - (? Laps )
The car is frozen. If you raced in D2, you get to make one suggestion for a track. Do so by posting in this thread. Deadline to post will be 10 AM ET on Thursday.

Prize B suggestion:
Dragon Tail - Gardens II
I’ll have to provide lap time this evening. Hopefully, someone could run a few laps and provide prior.
I am curious, last time we ran this car, was it on sport softs? Now, it’s on hards.
It looks like D2 had the same participation level as D1. One suggestion for a track does make my job a little easier. New track for the Supra is below.
Nope, it was Racing Hards....
Sep 9, 2018: AMUSE S2000 GT1 TURBO on RH Tires @ Dragon Trail - Seaside II - 08:00 Fine Weather - 6 Laps
Dec 13, 2020: AMUSE S2000 GT1 TURBO on RH Tires @ Alsace - Village - 17:15 Fine Weather - ? Laps
Ok, the Supra and the Amuse lap times have to be confirmed. I made "educated" guesses. One is at the bottom end of the transition time and the other is at the top end. Lemmie know.

December 2020 Season - League Night #3
See update below
I choose @Akzl298 suggestion btw.
Thanks for looking that up. I think back then I was dabbling between ‘bumper’ & ‘hood view’ but when this Sept 2018 car/track combination came up, the only way I could control the yaw was to drive in cockpit view. (Had always been using cockpit view in Project Cars 2). And I’ve been driving in cockpit view in GTS ever since.
PS4 System Update today
I am planning on opening a practice lobby at 9 pm eastern, unless somebody beats me to it.
In the S2000 at Alsace, I did a 1:58.0 lap with just a few laps trialing without ABS on.
