Scores for Feb 21 have been copied to Data

Feb 2021 Preliminary Standings

Rookie Questions:

The scorekeeper in D1 will need to manually add FREEREVN to the scoresheet.

1. Can I, as the scorekeeper, add a name into the name column? Even though the box is shaded.

@GTP_Guido would have been the driver that would have been asked to move to D1 based on the priority list.

2. Sunday was the first time I encountered what happens when a lobby is full. Is the 'priority' list the 'Driver's list' or the 'Grid List'? Who decides who moves? How is this communicated? Here? In the lobby? Both? Do drivers only move up a div? I'll worry what happens in D1 when I get there. lol

1. Yes, but only when specifically directed to do so and then anything that needs to be fixed can be fixed on the back end.

2. The priority list is the drivers list. Drivers must post in the main thread if they can't get in due to the lobby being full. Everything regarding moving drivers is handled in the main thread. Drivers can only move up a division and drivers trying to get into a full lobby after 9:25 ET are out of luck as we won't move drivers for them.

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - NISSAN XANAVI NISMO GT-R 2008 (RH) at Kyoto Driving Park - Yamagiwa - 05:00 Clear (11 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @notime72 wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - CHEVROLET CORVETTE C7 GR.3 (RH) at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix - 05:30 Clear (9 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @racingchamp30 gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Timlour so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.

Currently tracking 4 Incident Reports
We have at least one prize winner with a racing incident being investigated by the stewards. This may, obviously, change the order of the prizes to be selected. All winners are asked to refrain from making selections until the Weekly Steward's report has been posted.
The target deadline for the Steward Reviews, this week, is Wednesday night by 10PM Eastern. The Steward Summary will be posted as soon as possible, following completion of reviews.
:@: SNAIL Stewards, please make your way to The Incident Review Scoring.
The IR Submission Form is now closed.

All potential prize winners will be included in a conversation in the next few minutes.

Wow can't believe the votes went that way

I had a feeling it would be close. The 2nd combo was a lot of fun to me but with the cars going so fast it was hard to pass unless there was a major mistake ahead of you. I struggled mightily with the 3rd combo b/c I simply couldn't get the Vette to turn on those tires.

For the record, I entered a vote at the conclusion of racing in D3 Sunday night. Not sure why it wasn’t recorded
Scorekeepers must make sure they have recorded all the votes. If they see an open vote, and they are not sure, they should ask in the lobby, or scroll through the texting to see what the vote was.

Members in the lobby should wait a short while after the last race before they start voting. The scorekeeper has to enter the last race's information first before he starts looking for the votes. If you have to leave early , its ok, but it adds a level of inconvenience for the scorekeeper to start scrolling up and down to look for votes, especially if the texting is busy and things disappear off the screen.

To add to that, ideally the scorekeeper should ask for votes when they are ready and all the other typing should stop until voting is done.
