Ok , ok, I'll change my handle to Redneck58....

Only one problem.... though not a problem at all..... my granddaughter (and her mother and father....) is visiting for a few days. So I will not be racing on Sunday night or Monday night. Can we redo this one next Thursday?:lol::lol:

I threw the Bronco around the track last night and got into the mid 1:47's Looks like you have to throw her around like a rally car if you are going to do fast time.

Promise me you will have a blast!

And a reminder we are driving both.
Need to start paying attention to the thread more... lol

David, the rain is a good thing! The ultimate equalizer, I don’t understand why folks have a hard time with the wet. It’s just a matter of being smooth, finding where the grip is, (usually OFF the racing line) and softening the cars setup a bit. I think we should do every race in the rain ;)

Hey big cheese head Aero. Still not quite understanding the math in converting a session based on time duration to approx laps conversion. *shame*.
This taken from the previous example:
30 min race length = 1800 seconds (Ok I understand this. 30 mins X 60 secs per min (aka 30x60) = 1800 total secs)
Avg lap time of 2:20.xxx = 140 seconds<---(Now this is where it gets confusing for me. How'd you end up with 140 secs from avg lap time of 2:20.xxx? What math?)
1800/140 = 12.857 So I round off to closest even lap number, so 12 laps

*Please don't hurt me*

I had the same question some time ago.

First thought would be 2:20 = 220 seconds. wrong

In one minute there are 60 seconds, NOT 100.

2:20 lap time converted to seconds.
so 1 min = 60 seconds,
2 min. = 120 seconds,
then we have .20 seconds,
for a total of 140 seconds

Another example. take a lap time of 1:45,
1 min = 60 seconds, then add the remaining seconds, 45 = 105seconds total lap time

hope this helped.

Thanks @SGETI. That sure helped a lot. I now understand. Cheers.

I think the fastest you can go is 20mph.

Gonna be a long night.

I'd give just about anything to be able to race those "tanks" this Monday. Perspective, my friend. :)

Glad SGETI was able to clear up the math confusion for you David, I realize it is borderline metric calculus and I never expected all to get it :D

They are indeed. I think the hot setup is to use the 4x4capabilities and cut the track.
We have tried an idea of driving around a track having to stay off the pavement, Road America is good for that, it was fun, Bronco would be good.

Have you noticed there is a "Circuit" tune for the Bronco?
One more whine out of you and you will be driving the Agajanian Watson Roadster all night!

Breaking away from cars for a post.
Today marks 40 years since one of the greatest ever comebacks in history.
Mike “the bike” Hailwood at the TT on the Ducati.

The real deal at Ducati race museum in Bologna, Italy. Holding the same bars as Hailwood was pretty emotional.

Track - Laguna Seca

All races 10 laps (approx 20 min's), no pit stops, no inclement weather.
I calculated fuel needed for both trucks at 30 liters so will be going with 35. I have changed the gearing in the F150 so it might differ from stock. You will need to check your own fuel to confirm.

Race 1 & 2
Grp A - Bronco
Grp B - F150

Race 3 & 4
Grp A - F150
Grp B - Bronco

Invite list for tonight. As usual, if you are on reserve list (report #4) just post here by 7pm est if possible and will add your name to list.

Nice Duc! Get it for your b-day?
Ha....I wish......wouldn't even want to guess what that is worth. Belongs to a collector in the US and it's on loan to the museum. I do have a friend who has a Hailwood replica but he still won't part with it.....yet!!

@Rednose58 You still out for tonight?
