i want to lower the time. if possible low 9's
what settings is best for suspension, gearing etc.

thanks

This can get intrusting. I see our skyline's time is faster then mine. Ill have to go back to it and see if I can't better that.

1. Escudo ...............9.351 sec
2. FTO LM ..............9.389 sec
3. RUF rgt ..............9.397 sec
4. ZZII ..................9.696 sec
5. R34 V-spec II ......9.720 sec
6. Impressa LM ........9.738 sec
7. Esprit sport 350 ...9.854 sec
8. Viper GTS............9.858 sec
9. GT 1 race car ......9.898 sec
10. Altezza LM .......10.473 sec

Now please, I have only ran 14 cars on this test. Plus I have also starting to take antirust in it, in like the last week or so.

That time of yours is incredible see I can only get a 9.477 and I tried hard.

Also see my new times... I broke the 9 sec barrier :sly:

1. RUF rgt ...............8.998 sec
3. RUF ctr2 ..............9.175 sec
3. Escudo ................9.351 sec (still testing)
4. FTO LM ................9.389 sec (still testing)
5. ZZII .....................9.392 sec
6. Viper GTS..............9.452 sec
7. R34 V-spec II .......9.477 sec :D

i am a specialist boys of 400 meter dash with the viper i do 9.291 and i can give u teh setup its on gtvault.com my name itts 0-400mspecial with t8 tires its crushes teh competition i got other cars that im working on right now just gimme teh cars and ill make you a setup

right now im working on a skyline r33 842 hp
and a supra 1079 hp

im coming back soon

hi, I'm new :D

i've got 9.215 in my R34 GT-R, upgrade max everything, change oil, and it should have around 1070 hp. with supersoft tires (t8 i think), and 2nd gear launching, is all u need to get my time.

i just a RUF rgt, man this thing is amazing. i havent run it in yet, but with a 1st gear launch, t8 tyres, i got a 9.024. after some running in, and the subsequent hp increase, i should be able to beat 8.998 (sorry Power Slay'd :P ) hehe

hipermax_d: for my R34, i only touched the auto-set gears slidey bar, and have it at 34. stiffen your springs a bit, so they're about 3/4 full. then try wat i sed above :)

I have to say that I have seen two times under 9.96 sec with the ZZII. This was posted in anther thread buy two different drivers. Sorry I don’t remember were, because their names also need to be up here.

I just ran a best 400m time with my ZZII of 9.287 @ 161mph

I'm gonna try an R34 VSpec II next.....

I ran a best with the R34 VSpec-II of 9.267 @ 157mph

Fully modified with the exception of VCD.

With VCD set @ 50%, a Final Drive gear change, and a second gear start my best time was 9.380@156

hey in just 2 min with the ZZ2 i made 9.283 lol go get some pratice or its just maybe that i concentrate too much on 0-400meter time!!!! lolololol:)

Realize something...I did my time only by taking my ZZII from my garage, setting the suspension and gears and running it...One run, one try and a 9.287...I just re-ran with a 9.275 @ 161mph

That time took me two runs...LOL

Here's a quote from a post I made awhile back...

I'm pretty good at setting up cars for drag(especially gearing), my best time with my RUF RGT is...

0-400m: 8.887sec
0-1000m: 15.779sec

Fully modified of course! Gearing is not that short suprisingly, with the set-up I run it turns those times and has a top speed of 220mph.

Also this was a FIRST gear start, second gear makes is slower due to the way I have the tranny set-up.

MPH numbers are usually 167mph for the 400m, and 217mph for the 1000m.

 i think u suck u know why cause those parts are the major one that have the greatest effect on the car so dont try to be smart and accept that there are some better then you on certain type of race i dont say im a better driver but in 400meter stuff....i think u suck!

Sorry for My Dumb-ness The 9.96 sec shod have been a 8.96 sec

Kikosunchez posted a 8.8 sec time in the ZZII. See there for more times.

Please stay on topic? This thread is not for comparing times.

And the author only has one post, which indicates he probably is not active anymore, but I'll leave this thread anyways.

It's been sometime since I've attempted an acceleration run but I will try to lay out the relevant factors as I understand them to be or as I guess them to be.

First you want your wheels straight, so 0 on camber and 0 on toe. Then you want your ride height at the bottom, but I'm not sure where you would want your springs. The downforce works best at low settings, but I'd experiment. I'm not sure where to set the LSD, I assume high unless it adversely affects the shift points, which I've heard it can, or it causes a power loss or some other thing it can supposedly do. You may also need some tire chirp in some cars.

Gearing: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/t-7997.html

Now onto driving. Try different start rpm., Try breifly releasing the accelerator to stop slippage and aid with traction. Try shifting at different points. Past redline, 500 rpm before.

When setting the gears, test out the harmony between the final drive ratio and first gear, they may be costing you time and are probably the most important gears. Sometimes you want a car to rev from it's torque peak, however that torgque peak may be too far from the hp peak in the rpm band, or just too far and general. So even at speeds below 100 mph it may be better to have the early gears rev back only a bit, not all the way to the torque peak, as this may cost you time. So if your redline is 8000 and your torque peak is 4500, not going to 4500 may be in your best interest, or you may want to go below the torque peak, it varies. You after shift rpm is figured by dividing the current gear by the next gear, then multiplying that by the shift rpm.
