Steward's Comments:
A different twist on the Evora Cup so many of us enjoyed online for the last 2 years. The car has really nice grip on N3's. Watch out for lift off oversteer, and know that it has more torque and grunt in 3rd gear than you would think. Resist the temptation to shift down into second and back up in some places, it might cost you more than you can gain.

Viewing your T1 & T2 Lap Time Splits:

You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay'.
To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Page' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replay' option.

Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 106 Submission ) to (Vaxen):

  • Please submit your time in the following format on a single line:
    [Division#]---M'SS.XXX---GTP_Tag
    (Example-) [division 2]---1'44.678---GTP_EDK
  • You can submit only once
  • Please include in your submission PM your division, GTP_Tag and final lap time
  • The deadline is Monday November 15th 11:59pm GMT
  • If you are unsure of the deadline try this site

Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Oh no on N3 hope i can handle it :dopey:

And hope i like the Evora too. Tried it when it was just released and that was it.

Do you have to somehow send the actual replay? Or just the stats regarding the time?

Welcome Sam

You have to send your laptime to Vaxen before the deadline. And only have to post your replay when you finish on the podium in your division.

Suzuka 👍 Evora 👍 I'm in!!

Hi Sam, as long as you have a computer and a USB stick, we can help you with the rest. If you dont have the means to supply a replay i would respectfully ask you not to officially participate or submit until you do  Replays must be posted by top 3 finishers in each division.

All the best
Maz

Thanks. I doubt I'll finish on the podium, so I probably won't worry about uploading replays, but I may come close.

However, assuming I do finish on the podium, how would I transfer the replay. I have a youtube account, if that helps.

You'll need to save your best lap replay, then from your PS3 home screen transfer the saved replay to a USB stick. Take the stick to your pc, zip up the whole PS3 folder and upload to this forum. Regardless of your expectations I once again respectfully suggest you don't compete unless you have the facilities to provide replay verification in this fashion. YouTube replays sadly are not yet acceptable. Maybe when we can directly export to YT from GT5 👍

All the best

First splits:

T1: 1'05.095
T2: 1'59.378

The Evora has a remarkable amount of grip on N3, after the Corvette N3 Daytona online combo this feels positively pedestrian and on rails. I did actually find I did have to shift down to 2nd, I didn't find enough torque in 3rd gear always. I also struggled far more with understeer than oversteer.

All the best
Maz

Wohooo! :embarrassed: I'll give it a go too, MR + Suzuka + N3 tires, which just doubles the fun factor. :D

Not quite sure on which colour I'll be using, but I won't stick to the Isothope Green Evora.

After a pretty frustrating session:

T1: 1'07.310
T2: 2'03.749

Boy, this car can drift if you're not careful.

When I said "This loos like alot of fun" before I forgot one key ingredient, I am completely unsatisfactory with Nx tires. I will not give up though, once again good luck everybody.

T1- 1'07.755
T2- 2'03.989

N3 tires 👍

Quite tricky combo, very easy to lose time even if you did a really small mistake.

T1: 1'05.466
T2: 1'59.765

Had a real quick go (4 laps) can see this one will be fun, got some big slides to get rid of to get my times down, too tempting to do some rally style driving through the last chicane though!

T1: 1'07.820
T2: 2'04.536

Quick go after work - before the wife gets home ;)

T1: 1'05.396
T2: 1'59.645

Rubbish T1 on that lap, but the middle sector was nice :)

Car is a bit pants (understeers too much for me and the gearing is waaaay too long), but N tyres are just soooo sweet, and as Maz says, a lot easier to drive than the Vette at DR

T1: 1'04.910
T2: 1'59.136

Overall about 0.3 faster than before.

I felt this lap wasn't good enough in T3 and I got a wheel on the grass out of the hairpin that was a little costly. Still a tenth in T2 and a tenth in T3 to find.

All the best
Maz

After 2 hours of  :banghead: :( I managed to improve my lap time, only by 0.1 sec though.

T1: 1'05.299
T2: 1'59.578

Did my first 20 laps:

1'08.905
2'05.531

This weeks WRS is a lot of more fun then week 105.

I expect when the rest of Div 3 turn up this will look poor, but I'm happy with my first attempt. Plenty to come, just need to put it together.

T1 1'07.714
T2 2'03.405
